Whatever, I downloaded this crap from the OFFICIAL website of BCD.
Now it is obvious to me that I got scammed by BCD, or they found it out and just replaced the file.
The file under "Electrum-Windows" under Download-section got replaced several times by BCD team in the past days.
What a laughtable project.
BCD is a scam coin, created solely so their devs can make money with Bitcoin's name. Unfortunately, regardless of whether the BCD wallet was the cause or not, your coins are gone there is nothing you can do. And like I said in your other thread, they only use Electrum's name and code (which is open source). But they are a rogue wallet. They are not Electrum (electrum.org).

it should be obvious but copies of Electrum called Electrum-XYZ such as electrum-bcd are not developed or maintained or reviewed,... by people who created the actual Electrum wallet. the original project is open source and free to use so anybody can copy it and if you lose money by using the copies the creator of that copy is at fault not the original project!

your username and all your complains here don't make any sense.

So which is it? First you said you used your private key then you said you didn't?
>>>>I used my private key for the first time to create a wallet in Electrum to transfer my BCD from my atomic wallet to Electrum.
As I said, it was the first time, I ever used my private key.

How did you know that you have a balance on that private key?
>>>>I could view my balance on Atomic wallet but not transfer it. That was the reason, why I looked for another wallet.

You said you have a sync error?
>>>>YES, if you want to recover a wallet in Electrum, you need to put in you private key. After that you need to setup your PW. After that
you get a sync error: "Cannot syncronize with the blockchain. Please check your internet connection or try again later..."
And after that, all my BCD were gone. got it?

Did you verify the signature? What is the official link to that wallet*?
>>>>https://www.bitcoindiamond.org/download/
filename: electrum-bcd.3.1.1.exe
THE FUNNY THING IS, that this link got replaced TWICE in the last week.
First) electrum-bcd.3.1.1.exe
Then) bitcoindiamond-1.2.0-win64-setup-unsigned.exe
Then) Electrum-BCD-3.0.5.3-Windows-X86-64-portable.exe
WTF is this??
https://www.bitcoindiamond.org/download/ and under "Electrum-Windows"

Do not forget that Atomic Wallet is a selective scammer so you may have been scammed by them.

The downloads for Bitcoin diamond are located here > https://www.bitcoindiamond.org/download/
You can get the link from CMC. Is that from where you downloaded it?
Of course Electrum has nothing to do with this fork. Electrum is a Bitcoin only wallet.

YES, I said I used the this link from OFFICIAL BCD WEBSITE.
https[Suspicious link removed]
The atomic support gave me detailed instructions, what to do:

"1) Download Electrum wallet https://www.bitcoindiamond.org/download/
2) When creating a wallet after installation please choose "Import BCD private key"
3) Then paste your private BCD key from Atomic Wallet.
4) Where to finds your private key in Atomic. Open the wallet---->Settings---->Private Keys----->Enter your password------>Search Bitcoin Diamond------>Copy the private key
5) Import BCD key in the Electrum wallet."

Downloaded it from official BCD website, filename "Electrum-BCD-3.0.5.3-Windows-X86-64-portable".
After entering my Private Key, setting up my password, I got a Sync error.
A couple of hours later, all mc BCD were gone!
After I couldnt move my BCD from Atomic Wallet, the Atomic-Support told me to download this wallet and enter my Private Key.
How did you know that you have a balance on that private key? You said you have a sync error?

After entering my Private Key, setting up my password, I got a Sync error.
I never even used my private key from my Atomic Wallet.
So which is it? First you said you used your private key then you said you didn't?

This is the biggest scam I ever witnessed. Dont even know who to blame... Seems, electrum does not even have a website.
The Electrum BTC wallet has nothing to do with this SCAM-Software!

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS WALLET!
I got scammed by trying to create a wallet.
So did I.
After I got the Sync error, I thought....fck it, I will just keep my BCD.
But after 1 hour, all my BCD were gone.
I never even used my private key from my Atomic Wallet.
This is the biggest scam I ever witnessed. Dont even know who to blame... Seems, electrum does not even have a website.

I recovered my bcd about a year ago using a wallet called atomic wallet.
By the time I didn't trust that Electrum diamond, because I read much bad stuff about it. Maybe there is a new version now, but mli had no problems with atomic wallet. They even have some more forks that you can claim too (probably all worthless now)

I can confirm that link you posted is official BCD site, and files that you downlaod from that site should be checked by BCD team. Forked version of Electrum for this coin should be operational, but it is not updated for long time and it is questionable how many servers are available.

I just check BCD Reddit and last post was some 7 months ago, so this project looks pretty abandoned. ATH for this coin was over $100, and today is less then $1.

If you want to use this wallet to claim forked coins, then move Bitcoins to new wallet before importing seed / private key in Electrum BCD.

you have to review the code yourself and then compile the binaries on your own if you want to be really safe. i do not think anybody has really reviewed these things since people usually don't waste their time for these fork coins with low value.
here is the link for comparison and the way to do it is to go to Files changed tab and see the differences: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/compare/master...eveybcd:master

i didn't see anything malicious and the changes seem trivial. but i am not an expert specially not in python.
2 things might go wrong with this fork though.
- the change in decimal places from 8 to 7 may break some code
- since this is not an updated version ever since 2018, it is susceptible to the same bugs that existed in Electrum and fixed ever since ~Mar 8, 2018
