Both reputable and none reputable casinos get hacked at some point and this goes a long way to show how vonurable one can be when it come to being asked to frequently input your log in details at all time because you may not be aware of any malware that may attack your device to steal your log in information.

So for sure,  reputable casinos also get hacked sometimes,  and also even the hack of user accounts may not result from the site being hacked itself but also those hacks that happens to players accounts who choose to input the log in detail and being follow up by attacker at all time

The hacker will target the reputed casino by getting money from the competitor of the casino market. The reputed casino is not too hard to target like the non reputed casinos, because the security of the non reputed new casino will be low. When the reputed casino get a minor attack of the hack,it will be spread easily, this happened to the stake.com.But the Stake had get all his assets except one coin,So the stake again proved his legitimacy and the supremacy in just 24 hours of time. They also not delay the payment of the forum participants on that week.By this Stake proving their No 1 position in the world gambling market.

Phishing and hacks of users account do not happen on a reputable casino website. This underscores the importance of only visiting reputable casino website with the latest security certificate.
It's really naive to think reputable casino will not get attack or hack, remember there's nothing safe in digital world especially in a centralized site which own a lot money. Phishing attack is more to the user's fault, not the casino.

Of course when someone want to gamble in centralized casino, they need to make sure they can trust the casino including the worst thing that could happen in the future.

With the recent happening as related to phishing, and hacks of accounts a lot of awareness has to be created around the gambling community most especially,  in the area of security and safety of accounts.

This has led me to desire to know the community,  reaction on this subject matter of user login details being frequently asked by a casino,  do you feel safe to see a casino asking you for user name,  or phone number and password each time you open the site in your browser.

To me, a session n n should last until the gamblers close the browser instead of being online and when you want to backspace or check out some feature outside your current mode the prompt for a new login comes up.

I feel unsafe with this and I have avoided the casino,  but that is just my thought but it be nice if I had your views on this.

Are you positive or negative on casinos asking for log-in frequently or do you feel unsafe in putting your login details every time?

If the player uses the application, then the login will be secure, because the application is invariable, it uses secure server channels. The main thing is to download it initially on the official website of the casino or the betting office. If the player uses only the web versions of gambling sites, it is very important to always check the line in the browser. The website address must be written correctly and with a lock indicating the security of the channel. It is better to create a bookmark in the browser that allows you to quickly and safely navigate to the site.
If you are really that paranoid when it comes to security then it wont really be that a bad idea on having that bookmark if you are really that dealing with gambling websites but its really just that hard to believe that there would really be still someone who would really be that still going into those phishing sites yet remembering wont really be that too hard not unless if you are really that too careless on things.
When it comes on asking out always about logging in details then i wouldnt really be that much of an effort yet inputting password and username wont really be that an issue as for the sake of security but somewhat
it is really just that understandable that you would really be going into a point that you would really be getting that irritated just because of that often logging in kind of scenario.
Everything which is too often even if  it do looks not necessary is something that irritating.

This is why if you do find out this kind of feature or function of a casino which you do get pissed on logging in always just for some small activity idle or afk then there's
other places or options on which you could really be able to take. Its a matter of preference in the end of the day when it comes to choices.

Well, for me this depends a lot on the place , if it is a place that I have spent my entire life, then it is something that does not bother me, because it is something that I already see that they are asking for it in an obligatory way because it is something that can no longer be done. do nothing, and I am not a fan of exchanges that are Decentralized , because those are the ones that I really don't like the way they are, because everything has to be paid for, and neither do they prefer in the long run to go to a centralized one or simply to play from a physical casino, it is better, because the truth is that sometimes physical casinos are more efficient in that sense, and that is something that we have to do to guarantee that the game is good and that we like it, we as players must always look for a way to do things that give us more profits , whether Contests , bonuses , Any Type of thing that Gives us priority to become something better again, but I recommend KYC that be done in casinos that are really reliable.

I have a list that are reliable casinos, where you can always do things to benefit from them, of course, there is also playing smart so that there are no other types of misunderstandings, and that they can guarantee good things, so in This group of ideas can be seen that or better it is just that we can avoid doing a LUC in a casino that is totally fraudulent, there are people who will do the KYC because it has to be done and for me it is better to take it from the point of view that the casino is good to comply with the KYC where it is totally Trustworthy , for example I do KYC in casinos with which I feel good, like in Stake.conm, bitcaisno, io, because they are casinos that have a great reputation, they are innovating all the time, so made at stake.com they are hoping they make an innovation with the opker, I don't know how they are preparing them, but something looks very promising and I think they can make the difference.

I can provide my login details as many times as I want because even though these casinos have gone a great deal to secure their websites, my time on the internet has taught and prepared me to know how to secure myself and personal information online.

It totally fine with me. In this day and age with the amount of cyber security information at our finger tips, anyone who gets hacked should have himself to blame.

Peace be with you!
As long as you bookmark the correct gambling site and save your username and password you are pretty safe unless you logged in on another devices. There will always be risks wherever we go even with our social media accounts so how much more about something that involves money? Our safety is our responsibility so we can blame no one except ourselves who has control and of cours it will always be our priority to protect it. Always remember what Benjamin Franklin said "If in doubt, don't."

The point is that everyone has a different understanding of casinos that ask for details of their users' identities. Of course there are negatives and positives, but for me it is not good to give details of our identities to online sites, because we don't know what will happen in the future and as far as I know, storing real identities online is not good.

But currently I still enjoy gambling at online casinos that don't require real identity, I don't know what the future holds, but I don't feel safe sharing all of that, I prefer casinos that don't require detailed KYC, I feel uneasy if real identity is shared online, especially for online casinos.

I think it's boring to enter your username, password and then do mobile verification every time you open a casino website and I have never been in such situation because your browser has cookies and that's how they work, with the help of cookies, you don't have to enter your details regularly. If you delete your cookies, then you will have to enter it every time. I have never experienced what you describe now. If any casino does that, they will lose their customers.

Are you positive or negative on casinos asking for log-in frequently or do you feel unsafe in putting your login details every time?
I'm used to this set up and not a problem if they often ask for my login details everytime I open a browser. In fact, I prefer this one rather than keeping myself logged in on the particular site (even for other users it is convenient) just to save time and hassle. However, it's a different thing if i'm already logged in, then I hit the backspace or check their other features then they will ask for my login details once again even i'm not closing the browser, in this case it's hassle and annoying even it's for security.
It will be a form of security for us if we ever want to gamble, we have to log in to enter our gambling account. It can also prevent hacking, which may have used vulnerabilities in browsers that we don't know about so that hackers can use the loopholes to get into our gambling accounts. With this login facility, we have implemented one of the most basic parts before we log in to our gambling account, so it would be even better if we also activated the 2FA feature or something similar so that our gambling account would be even safer. But whatever it is, every gambler will find which one they like and use it even though it may not be safe for other gamblers. And they already know how to deal with it if something goes wrong, so we'll see it as unsafe when for them, it's perfectly safe.

That's going to be a weird experience, how can a casino ask me for such details after using like dozens of different online casinos and no single one ask the same thing? That's going to be the end of my journey on such casino either new or old.

Some browser automatically store your login details when you visit the websites for the first time and create an account, though you can always switch it off in the settings, but I don't see anything wrong with this because you can decide to add extra security layers yourself, 2Fa and secret codes are available too.

I also don't like leaving money on any casinos, once I am done gambling on the website I immediately withdraw my fund, crypto exchanges have better security than gambling platforms but gambling platforms don't always get attacked by hackers like trading platforms, but gambling platforms can be easily breached.

If security is your main concern it's better to use 2FA authentication on your account, but first make sure that the gambling platform is reliable one, then proceed with adding more security.

I mostly don't see the need for the use of VPN but then some others may have different opinions to mind on that subject matter,  although, sometimes we usually believe that the reason why most people use VPN is because they want to avoid regional sections but then also,  why should I gamble on a casino while my country is ban or restricted on such casinos.

Most especially on a centralized casinos that are regulated and compliant,  this is what mostly gets us tangled when you attempt to access such casinos using a VPN to bypass the restrictions.
I have never been asked to enter login details at the casinos I use, and I also never save passwords in the browser when accessing gambling sites, plus I always use 2FA so that security can make me feel more at ease.

Regarding VPN, actually those who use VPN because the jurisdiction of that country is prohibited by gambling sites so they choose to activate VPN to be able to switch to another country IP address.
But some gambling sites strictly prohibit the use of VPN and there are even several provisions relating to VPN that will endanger the accounts we have.

If you feel that you really need to use a VPN, it is better to talk to the support team first because there will be considerations that can have if you really need a VPN to access gambling sites.
It all depends on how we use it and not taking advantage of VPN use to carry out prohibited actions.

If I'm getting you correctly here, you mean you prefer your log in details to be saved on the browser and the casino should keep you logged in always? Correct me if I am probably wrong.  To me, I feel more secure knowing that I have to log in every time, and that my data is not being stored on the site. With that, I think it provides an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access to my account. We all know security is always a top priority, especially when it comes to sensitive information not only about gambling sites but also include things like banking and personal details. I can imagine that having to log in each time would also help to minimize the risk of someone else gaining access to your account if you accidentally leave it open on a public or shared device. Login in frequently may seem to be stressful but it's the best practice in my own opinion.

The best thing to do with this is add another layer of security. The 2FA would be enough IMO. It's best to play in casinos that have this kind of feature to make sure that you have the best security that you have in your account.

Multiple things to feel safe.
  • Complicated password
  • Different passwords per site
  • Added layer of 2FA

I think that's enough already because even if there are hackers who know your login details, it's important to have another layer that will be served by the 2FA.

If you have been visiting that casino frequently, it will be saved to your browser unless you use another browser for it.

I agree to the measures that you've mentioned to make yourself protected by any other intruders and attacks. These habits are important to recover for someone who does care for his funds stored on your casino accounts.

As long as you know the official website, you can have it bookmarked and it's just all about that to save time from logging in and as well as small potential attacks.
Yes, it is true that you should avoid accessing casino sites outside the home, let alone using a browser on another computer, for example, if you are used to playing using a cellphone and a computer with WiFi at home, you should only access them both inside the house, not outside the house, it might be very vulnerable to intrusion and That's important, until now I still consistently only access it using my cellphone and computer at home apart from that I don't gamble outside the house let alone access the casino.

If we are careful and consistent with security, of course everything will be fine and the account will be safe with phishing links or something else and bookmarking is also one of the most effective ways to save site links and also save passwords for casino account login details without having to type them again so they are filled in. It will automatically be easier to access it quickly, as long as you're still using the same browser, there's no problem

Well, it should be noted that sometimes it is a little unsafe to do this type of practice, sometimes our history can be something that helps us to get one thing wrong at Once , but it is also something dangerous, there are Many hackers who use cookies and histories to that can be accessed from remote access, there are many ways to do it, when there is a hospital, there must be a password and many things that are Saved in the browser , and this Means that when we are in the middle of the game they can be accessed without realizing it so yes, it is good to have Control of our personal PC, and where we are the ones who access the site, but when we enter here we must not click on any potentially dangerous site, because at the least desired moment is the Mention that the Passwords , not only From sites but from Wallets, from things that have to do with Security, for me it is always better to use another type of Access, for Example to have a .txt document where the URL is and one can Copy and Paste , it is Much Safer than doing it that Way.

For me , security is a topic that must start from our Own Computer, Phones or place that we Frequent, so that is why we always have to activate the necessary security, 2FA layer, and all kinds of things that can be bad, sometimes We give you no clicks or security through 2FA, and by email, despite being something very complicated and annoying, sometimes security by email and 2FA is not enough, sometimes it has to be considered the security cap of 3 things , as well as the SMS that can be read to our phones, but these types of things must be considered so that our accounts are Safe, in a Casino , what we will be willing to risk and win is money , so all kinds Security is Welcome , there is no other Option , you don't Want security, you can't play, and even have Security that our funds are stolen, many people have been robbed for not having layers of Security.

It may make me feel a little unsafe, but more than that I'd be feeling annoyed. Why do you have to be asked for those details each time you click on other features? That sounds a little too much.

What I'm currently using as my sports betting platform has also a casino, but they don't ask me to login once again if I transfer from sports betting to playing blackjack in their casino, for example.

This is more of a UX issue for me, not really about safety. After all, for as long you stay on the site and you're never taken to another site, your login credentials should be valid.

You should put the name of the casino in your thread for many people to be aware of, its quite annoying doing that but if your computer is clean and all safety measures are being implemented I don't see any mistakes or wrong it's just the casino's way to protect their users and to retain their attention it maybe annoying but that's how they implement their security maybe because some of their users got hacked so they revise their security measures to make it different from all the other casinos.
Unless there are a lot of requests I don't think they will change the current security features but if you name this casino they will be made aware of this and maybe address it here

Talking to those free VPN then it isnt shocking which this is what i do really experience on making use of them specially on Opera browser VPN access which loading times are really that slow
and this is why there's no point on making use of this if you arent something needing to hide. There are really just those people who doesnt really want for their IP address to be known but in todays
ISP on which it is really that always dynamic so its not really that much of an issue in speaking about IP location or whatsoever.

Going back into the issue about having those always logging in scenario then it would really be that kind of a hassle thing on which you do always do make out some log in details
or inputting those information but we do know that as long you do have trust into your connection and with your PC or mobile then it will really be that
much of an issue honestly.

There are some.security tips someone should follow. The most basic one is having the real URL bookmarked and making sure you are on an HTTPS url. Other than that, if you are connecting through a connection you don't really trust it might also be a good idea to use a VPN. This is why I like casinos that are friendly to VPNs, because it's also a security measure.

And in terms of passwords and usernames, always use different ones. Especially if you keep decent amountsin your casino account even for just a few minutes, you don't want to have people guessing your password based on what might have been leaked from other sites.
My measure setbacks with VPN usage os in the area of network sluggishness while on VPN because I have not enjoyed gambling using a VPN as bypass access,  it makes the site load extremely slow and sometimes most features won't even load at all.

But if I off the VPN and try to access it with my free networks,  it works fast and smoothly compared to what I always experienced with VPNs in the past.

It would have been better if OP shared the name of the casino he is talking about, when you log into a website, the time session doesn't always depend on the platform either gambling or not, sometimes it's the browser you are using, and I haven't seen such problems before when using a gambling platform that's why I said it's should have been better if OP shared the name of the casino he is referring to.

The casino needs to make a check box available and it's not hard to do, maybe they will listen if you drop them the complain directly, but honestly I don't even use to notice that such problem exists with casinos, the few casinos that I use for gambling don't give me such problems.

My advice is make sure the casino is a popular one, if its new be careful with them, their security might even be worse, due to avoiding spending more money on better website security, I even recommend creating a separate strong password for such online casinos.

Bookmarking is just one of the safety measures that one can do. Whether the casino keeps you asking about your login details upon visiting them, it's normal.

It's much better to login every time you visit but if you don't like that, just adjust and think of it that you have to do it all of this time for your safety usually if you have a lot of funds on your casino account.

When a platform asks for login details too often it is annoying for users, because users need to retype their login details which is more risky (does not apply to those who have auto-fill passwords enabled). I don't know the reason why casino platforms make their sessions so short, because for security and other issues they can use third party services such as Cloudflare or others. The platform should set their sessions long enough and have a robot verification system to prevent bots.
I can relate to this. It may be understandable if they don't have that " remember me " thingy, along with a small white box that we need to check, so that we don't need to login anymore the next time we visit them. But the problem is they do have that and it doesn't work as it was intended.

The issue is already present for a long time but up until now they haven't given any action to fix it. Other than that, I also experience the same thing in the pop-up advertisements and in-game banners. They also have that option for them to not show up next time but it doesn't work as well. It's so annoying man, however I wouldn't say it's risky because I already downloaded their app and bookmarked their site. You guys should too.

That's why features like "keep me log in" is saving time and less annoying. I guess on this one, it's to each their own.

Some may agree, and there are the others that will disagree. Honestly, it's not that much to think of when the casino asks you frequently about your log in details because there's a security measures through that.

If you find it that it is costing you a lot of time then all you need to do is to find another one or request that to the casino where you're gambling.
There are just time saved log ins are undergoing reset. You may save the address of that gambling site or to manually check each letter and punctuation ‘coz it is where phising sites are taking advantage.Another option is to not store huge amount of money or tomake it a habit withdrawing the fundswhenever you’re done playing to lessen your worries of losing all of it if ever you would mistakenly log in to fake gambling sites. Never be too lazy if you’re afraid of the consequences of such action.

Usually gambling sites does have that session timer on which it would really be having that automatic logged out on the time that there's no activity but just like on what you said that there are ones who would really be just still that get logged in despite on being inactive or simply doesnt have that kind of log in limit. We arent that dumb on not to see on which one is better when it comes to security but its not always a concern considering that majority of gamblers do really end up on zero balance on which security isnt really that your outmost priority but rather you would really be choosing or sticking into those sites which you do see that you could really be having that a good user experience or simply does have that less hassle for you to be able encounter on a certain platform.

You would really be that staying up on a place on which you do seem that it would really be that comfortable for you to play on. There are ones who do really find it quite hassle for them to
always making those kind of log ins and there are ones who do really just simply that doing fine or just okay with it and accepts that this for safety feature which it is
but there are ones who dont really like for them to get hassled from time to time on their gambling sessions.

I think its normal to put your login credentials frequently in the website, if you dot want that then save password so that you will never put your passwrodd in it so many times, but that is more risky you know, if you dont trust the website then stop using it, I get it you are just concern on your security but I know before you registered in the website casino there is an agreement section that you need to check, if you a responsible gambler who concerns your security then you should read that before signing in, because the moment you check it and created an account then you agree to input your personal details, if you really want to stay away unnecessary website then use a VPN it will protect your browsing in internet, but of course see first if the website casino will allow the use of VPN.
Most persons have refused to open an account with Casino bets online because they are scared that they can just wake up one morning and see all their money vanish,I don't blame them because things like that are happening, and we can't just trust them completely.Just like the other day,I told my friend to open an account with sportybet,so that he can be playing games online, but he refused and told me about  a boy that opened an account with them, and before he knew it,everything in his account was wiped out.I tried convincing him and he told me No.
As for me,I don't trust them totally, but I just need to have an account with them to be able to play online games.

Most platforms would allow you to save your login details and also have a "Remember me" checkbox that you should mark so that you stay logged in until the session times out. And even if a platform doesn't have these features, if someone has bookmarked the website, they shouldn't really have any issues because that bookmark should take them to the official website unless their device has some sort of keylogger or malware that messes things up in the process.

Apart from the security concern, it also gets a bit annoying to keep logging in every time you close and reopen the tab or the browser and features such as Remember Me or Session or cookie remembrance should be available on all websites that require users to log in to use the services they are providing.
I tried using a bookmark for this particular casino and even at that,  on the first page you are still asking for your login details at each point in time and this is none of the reasons my suspicion was first raised toward them.

Most of the casinos that I used in the past and even at present doesn't demand for such sensitive information to be input and regular interval like this one.

My casino does not ask to log in frequently,I keep myself logged in and the casino fully accept such thing,I use Chromium browser in Linux which is the equivalent of the Chrome in Windows and I also have 2 factor authentication enabled in whatever case. When you have such security hardened account the only reason you fall for phishing is when you click some phishing link.Even if you get phished when you have 2 factor authentication enabled the hacker maximum can do is to use your balance inside the casino and not be able to withdraw it,if this happens, you just need to log out and log in back again with 2 fa credentials after clearing history and cache first and hacker has no more access to the account.

I never feel worried to get phished,my only worry is if the casino gets hacked but since they have million of dollars in profit I think it would be a shame for them to not have the best cyber security team safeguarding their realm.
Same here, once you do logged in then they wont really be asking out as long you dont logged or close your browser but if its really just that open then i dont see such logging out scenario.
It is really that indeed hassle if these things do really always require for you to log in just doing some short inactivity on your account or simply making out some alt+tab. It might
really be not a serious issue but you would really be finding it to be hassle on the time that you are on such scenario. If ever there are platforms like this then it would really be that wise
that they should really be changing up that kind of behavior. Yes, for security reasons but we know that when it comes on exchanging that user experience then
it would really be something that too pesky on logging in every now and then.

Actually, I do not feel unsafe whenever I provide my logging credentials in any casino, since I take the time to go through some security measures before logging onto the casino.
First, I have got Double factor authentication enabled, so even if anyone managed to steal my username and password, there would be nothing they could do in order to mess with my balance and the satoshis I kept in there.
Also, there is another thing I try to do before even typing down my credentials: Most of the web browser nowadays allow you to check on the casino web certificate and also allows us to check whether we have accessed to such web before and also how many thing we did it, so in the case somehow I entered in a fake casino webpage posing as the actual casino I like, then the browser would show me that I had never entered on it before that same day.

No gambler should live in fear of getting hacked and robbed, by the way. The idea is not to be paranoid and over react to recent hacks and other crimes, the point is to develop some healthy security habits.
Good luck, everyone.  Smiley

Exactly which casino site are you referring to? Personally, I haven't faced this kind of security feature. But don't you think it's a good thing? If you were the original owner, you should be able to answer all security questions. The casinos already have all your information in their hands. Your number, your email, your first name, your last name, your date of birth, etc., with the help of KYC. So there isn't anything to hide. If you have faced these features too frequently, then it can be considered a bad feature. As you said, OP, a session should last until the user closes the browser. That, I agree with you totally. Nobody wants to play a random quiz every 10 minutes.

There is nothing that appears as annoying as that. First, the constant logout when you just navigate through tabs is disgusting, and another thing is that it will kill one's gambling spirits because logging in almost every five minutes is time-consuming, and one might even lose interest in the game. If it happens that I need to pick a code all the time before I can authorise my login, then it will be much more annoying than I am even imagining right now.

Such experience alone can make me drop a negative rating for a casino, and it also appears that they might be having some security challenges, which could really be a thing of concern for others if the issue escalates more than that. If I report such an issue to the casino and nothing is to be done about it and they just treat it as some normal thing for them, then I will have to let go of the casino, as such behaviour is really what I can't endure, especially when there are other casinos out there with many gaming options.

Isn't it the other way around? It's safer that way. I mean, you are not logged on some different browsers which means they are not saving anything just anywhere. I think as long as you are not mistaking their site for another site, (phishing) then it's all safe. I don't really mind logging in every time I use a different browser or using my phone.
If you are really worried about this kind of problem then using 2FA might be a good idea, if it is a phone then use Biometrics so you can keep your account as safe as possible.
It's not just gambling sites that do this, even this forum will ask for login details every time we use another equipment or browser. I think what we should worry about is where they will keep all our details.

Remember, a legit casino will never ask your password, they're either ask your username or email address. They might ask you some personal information (if you verified your account) to make sure it was you, usually this happen when you're have no access to your account due to forgot password, email etc.

If the casino is really ask your password, you need to create a thread or complaint to their ANN.

I wouldn’t want to play on a casino which asks my login credentials constantly. First of all it is another distraction. I just don’t want to type my info too many times. Many casinos use cookies that last for a long time and I’ve never has any problems with any of them. So when a casino logs me out frequently, I will just leave this casino and find me another which doesn’t do this. I know browsers can remember out login details and all it takes to click the login button but like I said, it is a distraction and I hate to get distracted while I am gambling. Freebitco.in’s cookies last for months for example (maybe a year or longer) and it is just great because when ever I go to the website, I am already logged in. Every casino should do this.

If I found that at a casino, I would not continue to register or log in to that casino. Casinos can change the rules easily, so we have to fill in all the information about ourselves, but we, as gamblers, have the freedom to choose the casino. And if there is a casino that does something like that, we don't need to choose it by continuing the process. There are still many other casinos that we can choose from and methods that we like so that we can feel comfortable when we gamble and are at the casino.

For this reason, we need to make sure of everything by looking around and reading the rules and other things before registering to know whether this casino is what we are looking for or whether we should look for another casino. The promotions given by the casino will tempt most people, so they will rush to register at the casino without paying attention to many things. That many people then experience problems that they don't want.

Entering password repeatedly while logging into account is really annoying sometimes it causes problems when you want to see the necessary things. Many times this kind of problem occurs when a hacker is caught that's why 2FA is good to maintain the security of your account. It reduces the hassle and the account is safe hackers don't get data easily from here. 2FA protects against phishing social engineering and password attacks and protects your logins from attackers exploiting weak or stolen credentials. This dramatically improves the security of login attempts the two factor authentication process can add additional security measures to a device or account. And this is a method that makes it difficult for a hacker or a stranger to access your account.

So far I have not yet encountered a casino like this, it will be quite annoying for me and for some gamblers as well if you keep inputting your login details, and there would be a lot of complaints OP did not mention the name of that casino here.

They could potentially lose players and revenues if many of its players are annoyed by putting in the password and username repeatedly, so they will take action if they receive a lot of complaints on this, but if they are not they will consider it as players satisfied on the security they've had, every casino has their own way to secure their casino.

I will not play at a casino if I have to give them my info every login. It's supposed to be for your safety, but if it could be exploited I'd rather not worry about it.

I prefer to sign up and verify my email address, then set up 2fa. That's been the safest route for me.

Phishing usually entails that you click something as well. If you are clicking something to get to a website you might wanna change that as well. Just type in the casino in the search bar.

If you don't allow a site to permanently log in to your browser, it's normal for it to ask you for your login details repeatedly.  Many popular and trusted sites do this too. or you may be prompted to login again if you visit a site with a login while connected to a VPN. This is for the safety of your account. But you must note that where you input your login details. Whether that site is official site. This is not a problem if you login to the official site repeatedly without going to any phishing link. You must maintain your own safety so always avoid phishing links.  And always check if it is an official site before inputting your login details somewhere

In my opinion, it's annoying to be constantly logging into the casino, but as we are dealing with procedures that the casino chose and when people created an account at the casino, they knew or observed this, so people shouldn't be complaining about things that they themselves saw and accepted. In my case, I only use a small number of casinos and I don't see anything unusual, so I'm happy with how things are currently in the casinos I use. Now, although I find it annoying to be constantly logging in, if the casinos I use also put in place this type of procedure, then I will have to accept it and I will remain in the casinos I use.

The problem with constantly logging in is that sometimes or even most of the time the person is analyzing the games and then placing bets even before the odds drop and arrives at the casino and sees that they need to log in, this gets annoying, I I had a bad time at Binance in the past when they had this problem where people constantly had to log in, it made me very angry. There was a casino I used that had this same problem of logging in all the time, I remember that I even left my money there and stopped using that casino, and I don't even want to use it because it irritates me

each platform has different regulations regarding security on their platform. it is possible that the platform thinks that in this way the security of user accounts will be better maintained and that will prevent bots which often cause problems on the platform.

and what's more, there's actually no problem if you enter your password and username every time the website asks. if you find it quite annoying, you should be able to use the auto fill password feature which is available on almost all browsers.

and the most important thing is the security of your device, make sure that it has antivirus installed and security patches that are continuously updated so that you can log in more securely and spyware-free.

How paranoid are we or how safe do I feel with my data hosted on my PC.

I am not very sure about your concern, since most Casinos keep the section active if you tell them so, and/or, "maybe" your cookies are deleted every time you start the section, check your settings.

This is a question that would go well in service board, if you indicate which Casino gives you that "hassle."

Are you positive or negative on casinos asking for log-in frequently or do you feel unsafe in putting your login details every time?

Well, I do not feel unsafe. On the contrary, I do feel more secured whenever I’m asked to input my login details on any site I’m registered. How else are we going to get into our online accounts if we don’t input your details?
Personally, I would prefer logging out of online casinos whenever you’re done playing on them. That way, you know you’re still secured on those sites whenever someone else has access to your device. I’m down for any online casinos requiring players to log in whenever they come on the site to play.

Probably the OP main concern is for the potential hack due to malware or something. Also phishing is very popular nowadays which you will never know if one day hits you accidentally since we are all susceptible for a human error.

I agree with you that we should not leave our account credential login always since there’s malware too that can get details on all login account on your browser. All this worst case scenario only possible if you allow malware to enter on your device. It’s better to invest on device security rather than rely on the website security alone.

I personally feel nauseous/sick anytime I was reasked password, email or other very specigic details like phone number. I know its good for security overall and I know it actually helps us customers stay safe. But it awakes my anxiety and I feel worried. Same things happen to me if Binance did same. I don't mind reentering data by the way, the screen makes me feel worried like - "your ip address was changed/unknown" it makes you feel like thief entered your home and you are left with message. I wish we had better solutions to all of these.
Password saver might help but if your anxiety is that much, maybe you have other problem that needs to be addressed.
For me, there's nothing wrong about inputting your log-in details again because it's for your security and the site is just making sure that the rightful owner are the one who are using it. Developer might find a solution to address this concern, but for now you have to deal with it and accept that you don't have any control over this and you really have to input your details over again.

I don't think it was a hacking trick but just needed in order to access our account. I'd never see it wrong as long as we are using the right platform and with the help of 2FA, all the transactions (in or out) seem to have our permission through 2FA.

Most platforms are encouraging us to enable 2FA authentication to enhance the safety of our accounts. As long as we have a high level of account protection, we are safe. So, it was not necessary to worry about always inputting our username and password when login.

I don't see anything wrong at all with that kind of method employed by the casino, every casino has their own security feature although its quite annoying if you keep in putting your password, so far I haven't stumble this on all the casinos I'm playing even if I close my browser or my session I'm still login unless I log out or empty my caches.

But I am confident on casinos that employ email verification or 2FA as one of their security feature, but securing one's account should be the concern of every player even if the casino has a tight security if you are not tight in how you secure your account, there will be an intrusion, so its a two way when it comes to protecting one's account.

Being logged out all the time when I have not even closed my browser will make me think there is something suspicious about my account that the casino is investigating, which makes them log me out, which will end up giving me a mixed feeling about whether I should continue gambling there or not, or if they are probably waiting for the right time to disable my account with an excuse best known to them.

Unless the casino is open, ask on the login page for how many minutes I want to stay logged in, and if such an option is enabled and I happen to click on it after the exact time has been exhausted, getting logged out even though I am still on the browser is understandable, but this really makes this appear unsafe in my eyes, which will trigger a mixed reaction from me.

I think the casino does that to ensure that you are actually logged in to your account because it could be that you are using another browser to log in so they detect that and ask for login details, there aren't many sites like that even so far my account is still open. and I'm not asked to log in every time I access it because I'm still using the same browser so there's no session time limit to automatically log out of my account unless I delete all my browser history.

Don't overthink it because of course the casino does that for the security of your account too and it's all positive and there are no errors whatsoever, usually there is a time session for your account to be automatically logged out so it has to ask you to log in again when accessing it again, this is to prevent other people too access your computer and browser when you are not using it.  Grin

It's not about the frequency of login times they are requesting you to put in your login details, it's about if the information you're giving are not too sensitive to your security safety, if you should appear once in giving them your private informations then it's as perfect as meeting up with their timing against you, of you think about what they are demanding is going beyond your affordability, then try to stop and finds in another gambling platform to use if you never go far with them.

To me, a session n n should last until the gamblers close the browser instead of being online and when you want to backspace or check out some feature outside your current mode the prompt for a new login comes up.

I feel unsafe with this and I have avoided the casino,  but that is just my thought but it be nice if I had your views on this.

I believe it’s case to case basis because my casino account is still login until now even I play yesterday. Probably it’s due to settings of your browser that automatically delete any login information on any website once you close it.

Your concern will be easily resolved if you will use 2FA on your casino account since the hacker can’t access your account even though they have username and password without your 2FA code. I believe the only time I will be uncomfortable login my account is when I’m using device that is not mine.

Like log in credentials right? If they are the legit casino asking that since they always clear the log in sessions of their user for protection then I would provably do it. Since this is what we supposed to do to log in our account and use it. But we also need to be aware that phising attacks exist so proper checking of url is really important so that we will not caught up by those phising site. Some people fail to detect that the site they are using is fake one so verifying is really important with this so we can avoid any risk that might happen to us.

Actually I'm not negative on this since I always consider that if our device lost and those people who picked up our phone can freely take out our balance since we didn't log out our casino accounts on that device so I guess for that reason its fine that casino frequently ask our log in details once we want to use their casino.

It's frustrating at times because most of my accounts have 2FA, but i'm okay with that extra inconvenience if it can save me from losing my account in the future. It does bother me a bit when I get logged out or my previous session expires because it sometimes gives me the thought of logging in at a potential phishing site, so I always double or triple-check before typing my username and password. In casino apps, it's easier to log in and out since they can use your fingerprint to store your login info but only a few casinos have a mobile app.
You are very correct on that because for an account that have an 2fa security lay out it can become o pain in the ass since in most cases you 2fa app could possibly be on another device and may be we ant with such device but juts want to have a few games outside, this of course is one of those thing that I have in mind before creating this thread for us to share our idea's and suggestions that can help us to make better choice as far as account security is concerned.

Frequent log-in requests at casinos can be seen as a security measure but it can also be inconvenient for users. It's essential for users to assess the casino's reputation and security protocols. If you're uncomfortable, consider using two-factor authentication or choosing a casino with a more user-friendly login system. I think players should always prioritize their online safety. Personally, I prefer where I don't have to input my personal log in details too often.

If I can change the details of my name, telephone number, etc., after I can find the comfort of gambling at the casino, I will use a fake name first until I can find it. But if the casino had asked me to provide everything completely and it was really my personal identity, maybe I would postpone gambling at the casino. But if a casino asks me to log in every time I want to gamble, that happens at every site. And usually, the username and password are stored in the browser so you don't need to remember the password. For this reason, you have to be careful when browsing the internet and make sure everything is safe from phishing and other things.

Usually, the login details are saved... if you need to retype the username and password it should be a red flag! Phishing sites are a real danger, especially when it comes to casinos and some other services where we have some money. So people should be extra careful if we are not careful
it can hurt a lot, financially of course.

This doesn't happen with me on stake,  but there is this new casino that a friend my mine introduced to me and to some extent I have used the xmxasino for up to 15 hours now and within this time,  I can't tell how many time I have to input my password just to resume the session,  and this is unlikely and unfamiliar with me since I have gambled on stake for over a years now I'm and I haven't experienced such before.,  Anyway,  I am not saying that I have proven that anything is wrong with that.

But then me in my personal terms I don't feel secure having to forget my password at a regular intervals.
Maybe this is a security measure by the new casino. It could be very stressful to keep logging in after a few minutes but it is worth it for security reasons. It will be helpful if you fail to log out after you are through with gambling. But you can also check the settings of the casino to check if you can extend the login time.

It cost you nothing if you are asked to log into your account with your username and password,  but some people are so stupid that they use the same password on their special accounts like social media and bank accounts, once the hackers get a hold of your password they wi start trying it out on other platforms.
.
You are correct mate. It is wrong for you to use the same password on more than one platform, it could be very risky. However, asking for login details frequently within a few minutes can be frustrating and time-wasting.

Of the several casinos where I have played, as far as I remember, only two casino will still leave the user's account in the logged in position even though the browser has been closed for days, for some reason this is quite easy and the rest will still log in even though there is no activity, meaning it will only log out when I press log out button .
Not for security reasons, but if the casino account will log out automatically when there is no activity for a while, it is quite annoying and it is better if the gambler's account is logged out when the browser is closed or when there is no activity in one day, not a matter of hours, but the casino method is to log out the player's account automatically because there is no activity there must be a strong reason and players have to accept that and if they are disturbed they can use another casino which has many choices at the moment

Are you storing money or leaving money behind on a casino? I don't worry about my casino accounts because I won't leave behind a penny, I only deposit some amount for gamble on that same day and if I lose the money I will leave with 0 balance until another day, this should be the right thing to do.

I think you should care more about your device security, either you are using a computer or a smartphone make sure they don't get compromised, and also make sure that your password on a casino is different from what you using on other platforms, if one is compromised the others won't be affected.

It's rare for me to have an experience like that. Usually when I ask for live chat they will ask for a little account data for verification such as asking for a username or email. I don't mind that because maybe they need to verify us, anyone can claim to be someone because anyone can contact the livechat service.

As long as you know there's no issues with their system that you know of I think that's normal. Always update your cached password so you'll not be mad that they'll ask it everytime, maybe you don't save those password for that site but I'll understand I don't usually save passwords on my browser for security purposes as well. For example, if your phone got lost or you have left it opened, that really causes some threat for me if they goes through my accounts that has money in it, I mean saved passwords it's really an easy login.

For me, it is normal for a platform to ask us to log in.  I feel safe in this kind of system.  We just need to make sure that the browser link is correct.  We can even save the website link in our notepad to make sure that we are on the right page.

Although it is annoying, I prefer it over a casino that keeps our account logged in even after we close the browser.

I hate casinos to be asking me for login details all the time that I want to gamble on the casino, but I am not feeling unsafe because that is not making the casino unsafe and my account on the casino too is not unsafe because of it, but it is frustrating. On most casinos that I am using, as long as I am using the browser that I use to enter the casino, no login is needed again.
I agree with you on this,  because of the frequent asking for login, anyways,  it may not cause any security risk for both the gambler and the casino but just as you have rightly said,  this is a frustrating thing and I don't know whether or not that there be security challenges.

The thing is that most reputable and popular casinos don't indulge in such things because at some point there is no need to ask gamblers to input at timing intervals.

I think it is normal for websites to prioritize an extra layer of security. It doesnt seem to be much of a problem. I think it is related to maintaining active focus on the site. If the active focus is lost, for example, you open a new window or new tab and the casino site ends up in the background, I do not see it as problem for the casino to request login information again. Imagine a scenario where the casino website remains active in the background, and you forget about it, and someone else accesses your computer after a long time? In such cases, requiring re-authentication actually seems like a good security practice.

Yeah I understand that,  it doesn't cost anything to input those log in details,  but you still should be aware that there are sometime where you may be venerable to spy who may have phased into the site and even though you may be dealing with the right site,  you input your login details exposes you details to possible attacks.

This situation may be rare but there is a casino I am currently playing on and they are frequently asking me for passwords and user details even though I just minimize,  or stay away for a short time.
When I read the OP at first I didn't get it but now, I see your point. My input on this is that if you have been gambling at this particular casino for a long and this just starts to happen, then you should be concerned. Reach out to their customer support and share your concerns with them. However, if this is how it has been happening since you registered with them, then you shouldn't be worried at all. This is just a security feature. If you have ever signed into a US government's website, you would notice that once you stay idle for more than 5 - 10 minutes you will be logged out. And you would need to log in again.

This is merely a security feature and I understand how stressful it may be.

I think this is more safe that to keep your account logged in even if you are not using here.
Even here in the forum I always choose to logged out my account so whenever I’m not around I still have the peace of mind that no one can access my account same thing with gambling. Casinos should be more secured and you should always use their security feature, the purpose of 2FA as well is to be more secured every time you log in.

Barely encounter this kind of situation but on some occasions, I don't really mind it as long as you're logging in on the correct website then there shouldn't be any issue as they already have credentials on their system.

Also, this usually happens when someone has a VPN or constantly changing or hiding their IP address whereas casinos or even other platform will automatically log you out of your session. This happened to me once until I turn off my VPN and it keep my gambling session active until I log it out.

Your gambling site logging you out frequently is just for security purpose, and you will be asked to input your username and password to continue gambling. It happens to me always, and I don't think there is anything bad in it. If you receive a link through Gmail or a normal SMS asking you to input your login details, don't even try it, but when you login through the gambling site application or through their website link and you are automatically logged out and they ask you to login again, then it is normal.

I have a mobile banking app that logs me out after a few days, and they will ask me to login again to continue using the app. Binance and Kucoin Exchange also do a similar thing, they do log me out sometimes, and I will have to login back to continue using the app. So I think it's just normal, but if you receive a link and are asked to input your details, then avoid that.

I don't mind whether my account will remain logged in or out after I exit the browser as long as the session is done on my own personal device.

If remain logged in after opening the site again, it saves time for me to log in again. On the other hand, if the session were automatically out after exiting the browser, it just takes a few seconds to log in. Besides, I am already used to both situations since all the gambling applications I used and installed on my phone (local online gambling sites) log out after exiting a session.

Most browsers save data, cache, and logging sessions that's why even after exiting the browser, the account remains logged in. While on the application, the only thing it saves are the username and password if allowed by the user thru "Remember Me" option.

Talking about security and safety, let's say a stranger able to land or access our account, I don't think how can they even take advantage of the account. First of all, to withdraw funds, most gambling sites are asking for verification not unless these scammers know some trick to bypass that but that is a low chance. The only worst thing they can do is, to intentionally lose all the available balance there.

It does not make any sense, though, but logically, if such happens, there is likely to be a login from somewhere else, because at least ten minutes is enough to sustain your appearance online on that website, whether you close the page or not.  Although I find it inconveniencing to be inputting details on and on every time I back the page, I do not think I would waste my time with such a casino because, if possible, that might expose you to security risks, and you might think they are trying to protect your account.

It is true that the security of customers details is the priority of every casino and exchange and it is good measures are put in place to do that effectively but when it is not conducive anymore, it tends to become a threat to the users because the pattern does  not conform with the normal original and hence causes panic annd disapproval from users.

Can you tell on what site is it OP? So that people would really be able to at least be able to test it out and find it out if its really that happening. Just like on what stomachgrowls said which it isnt really that
requiring extreme effort on making log in. If you aren't really that confident with your device on the time that you are logging in then you would really be that hesitating.
Its your money and if you do find out that you aren't that comfortable on logging in most of the time or certain moment then we do have tons of gambling sites on which we could transfer on.
Just like on what most people been saying that it not really that something could be seen on most gambling platforms.

For me then it wont really be that an issue if i do really like the site on where im playing, anything that makes you uncomfortable then it would really be that just wise that you should really
transferring or trying out other places because its our money then it would really be just that right that you should be sticking into those places on which you do really love
and confident on where you would be staying or hanging out.

I think it's normal that a casino platform asks for login, no? It has been always like this, unless you choose the option "stay logged after closing the page". It doesn't seem a big issue... They are making sure you are the legit owner of the account you are attempting to login into. You just have to pay attention to the link you are accessing, especially if you received it through an email or social media direct message in order to prevent being hacked and stolen.

Personally, I always prefer to access a website through google, as legit sites appear highlighted there on top positions.

Asking to log every time is actually a good thing from a security perspective and if you feel its a threat to it then its time to increase your cyber internet knowledge. And FYI casinos already have your login details but in encrypted form so even if their database leaked then its unlikely the account can be logged in using those encrypted credentials.

That is why in recent days hackers targeted cookies and tokens from your browser cache so they can simply use it to log in from somewhere and it will be valid if the site allows always log-in feature.

It is advisable not to use the same password of other sites as your gambling password. If on that gambling platform, you use a password that you have never used before, I don't see it as any problem if after a back space you are asked to login again, as I believe it is for security purpose. This will also enable to casino to know that it is still the same user.

I have seen some sites especially financial institutions that does this steady asking of password when you want to make any transactions or when you leave the page and decide to go to another page for some reasons.

Are you positive or negative on casinos asking for log-in frequently or do you feel unsafe in putting your login details every time?

The security and comfort of users/visitors are our reasons for looking for and finding safe gambling sites that can provide both, especially the security of users' personal data. However, because the desire to gamble continues to increase and they cannot hold back their patience to immediately gamble, this often causes someone to neglect everything, including security. They often ignore all forms of terms and conditions when registering on a gambling site.

And obviously I am very worried about this, so it makes me more careful about logging in or registering on gambling sites because, apart from involving personal data, gambling also involves money. And currently in my country there are very vulnerable illegal gambling sites where apart from the safety and comfort of users cannot be guaranteed, fraud also often occurs.

Are you positive or negative on casinos asking for log-in frequently or do you feel unsafe in putting your login details every time?

I havent encountered yet on a casino that do ask out log in information whenever you do tend to make some backspaces on trying out to check out something as long your logged in with that particular session then it wont logged out and stays logged in but basing up on my awareness that there are sites which are really just logging up your account on a specific period of time and if they do detect out that there's no activity on the said timeframe then it would really be logging out on which i could say that it isnt really that much of an issue but somewhat really that very hassle when to this. For me, if ever this would really be applied on
most casino sites then it wont really be an issue as long you are dealing with the right or legit site or platform because you do know that it is really that part of their security.

Also, it doesnt really cost an arm and leg for you to input those informations. Worrying about security wont really be there as long you do know that the site url that you are dealing with is true and legit.
No matter how many times you would be logging in then it wont really be that an issue honestly. Lazy enough? Well there are people whose like this.
