Don't know but it will happen so it is always good decision to buy ethereum because of that. Vitalik buterin is so smart it is good decision.
Another question is if Proof of Stake evolution in Ethereum did not happen or waited too long, will the price keep at these levels or start decreasing soon? I am almost sure that Proof of Stake implementation in Ethereum will make the price go to the moon, but it will affect negative if this make community waiting.

Why are u waiting for ETH POS? There are many minable POS-coins with profitable masternodes now, for example - GOA coin in my signature

Not to mention, there is too much fud resulting from timelines. It's always the "end of the world" now anytime there is news -- even if it's good or indifferent news. The crypto world is going downright crazy.
If I were making the decisions, nobody would know about ( previously discussed and approved ) imminent changes until about a week before it goes into effect.
Gotta minimize the fud window as much as possible.
