An ICO is a good option is to invest your money, where you plant a seed and watch your returns grow as the project continues to mature. Most often you can really get a good gain if you choose the project with the most promising tech and team, for instance check out Eterbase.
Some people are skeptic that the chains eg Ethereum will not cope with all dApps running on them from ICOs due to scalability issues. That's true, but Ethereum is the highest possibility of surviving the blockchain world as it is backed by numerous good ICOs. However, this will depend on the team solving its scaling issues, but I cannot think of a better crypto team than that of the Ethereum devs currently.

The below aspects must be checked through to confirm the ICO is legit and best;

The project, Investment, White paper, Roadmap, Infrastructure, market reputation to the ICO and the partnership with the existing reputed firms on the same field. Infrastructure should be checked as a firm with it in place will certainly succeed in the market minding its reputation earned in the market.

There are pointers to selecting a potential ICO. And ensuring it's a legitimate project.
That doesn't guarantee it would be successful.
Many projects have successful ICOs but go under in the market.

Nowadays there are thousands of ICOs. While some ICOs have 20 times gain Cool, some have 1/20 times gain Sad.

How to find the best ICO... Huh

  • Whitepaper and website
First we should find out what the purpose of the project is. If the project has an applicable conditions, then the ICO might be successful.
  • Team
The next thing, that should be concerned before selcting ICO is the team. The team becomes an outstanding criteria since the team has the capability of the way to success of an ICO. Experienced team has their own tips such as bounty campaigns, airdrops and exchanges.
  • ICO ratings
When we find out the details about an ICO, what we should do is ratings of the ICO in the responsible websites. One of good website that the ICO ratings are published is ICObench. URL ; https://icobench.com/

According to the my opinion, above three criteria are the most important when we select an ICO campaign to invest Wink.

Whitepaper and website aren't important, I saw successfull projects without whitepaper and bad websites and otherwise projects with good website turned out to be scam, ICOBench is a bad rating website im my opinion, almost all ratings there were bought . The main thing in good ICO is a hype level which depends on which funds and influencers are involved in project.

In my opinion, the feasible, practical and relevant idea of the user's general trend will play a decisive role in the success of a project. So I usually consider it first.
Next, is the devs team + Advisor and WP, the professional in the management of the community (telegram, facebook, twitter, etc)
- Roadmap and MVP
- community support.

I don't think find ICO project to invest in on ICO listing site like ICObench is a good idea. You'll lose your money very soon if you believe in these websites Smiley. I think to find out a good ICO project to invest in, we should take a look at dev team, roadmap, social media network accounts to see how huge their community are. Beside don't forget to check their partner Smiley.

Here are my tips but we still can not say if it is good and not scam. Every time you as investor or an bounty hunter it is a big,big gamble because number 1. you can't tell if it will be successful or not.

NOW MY TIPS

1. You go to bounties in see the known campaign manager at the made post at marketplace now.

Try to look the ICO

2. Look at there team and see if the private sale is finish if it hit soft cap you might hit the jackpot.

but

3. If you want to invest and your a good investor who see if the ICO is good than go invest.

I have read on Reddit, Medium and Bitcointalk how ICO ratings are paid for by the ICO themselves. So I'm not sure if its a good idea to use them as a criteria in selecting our investment. However, they are a good starting point to find similar ICOs who are competitors with one another. Find out yourself what specialties each of them have, and decide which one will succeed in the long run.

I don`t think that the ICO ratings can be trusted 100%.
Sites with ratings give a relative assessment of projects.
It is necessary to analyze independently in which project to participate!

This is a fair post, but there is much more to choosing a good ICO than this. Any ICO can promote a solid team of 'advisors' and write a good white paper.

The problem in the current market is the lack of trust out there for good projects with the sheer volume of shill and scamcoins out there looking to make a fast buck.

A good way to spot an ICO with potential is looking for "reverse-ICOs" - existing businesses with existing turnover. This means that a decentralised token is likely to be the next evolutionary stage in their business (be it to provide a global payment solution, lower transaction fees, faster liquidity etc) with an existing demand.

A good way to spot one of these ICOs is if they accept fiat currency in exchange for tokens. If they do (and not just via paypal!) then obviously they are a licensed business with existing revenue streams.

These are often safe projects to put money into as they already have stakeholders they are required to deliver to and an ecosystem in which their token will have demand.

I believe when choosing an ICO to invest in you should answer several questions:
  1) What problem does the project solve? Is there a need for a cryptocurrency to solve this problem?
  2) Is the project's solution to the problem unique and if not - why is it better over other cryptocurrencies with the same value proposition?
  3) Is the team experienced? Can you find more information about the leaders in LinkedIn and the internet?
  4) Do the project have notable partners?
  5) What are the token economics? How many coins will be minted? Is there a total supply? What percentage will be for the team?
  6) Last but not least - do the project have a working prototype?

Of course you can go deeper finding more about the technology, the governance model, etc.
In the end of the day during time when the trading prices of projects from top 20 are 80%+ down from their all-time high, probably the smarter decision is to invest in them and not in ICOs. Just my 2 satoshi.

There is no way which is the best ICO but you have to find out what you can do this better project. I am really happy to see this project but there are many campaign in bounty and ico project. Many project are scam now. So you can fast project to see and see how many participant so you can join after this. I have many kinds of work project such as many kinds of scam project so i am very unhappy. Now ICO project is best if the project is successful so you can more profit from this project. at last i can say that this is the project you can find out which is the best CIO project.

In order to choose a real perspective ICO you need to devote a lot of time to studying the project: its team, goals, demand for the project. It is also important that project has white paper and a road map. As for me I am waiting for ICO of Menlo.one project. I think it is one of the most promising.

I think the vector has changed a bit, earlier investors used to pick up projects with potential product and idea, now to get quick benefits a lot of them risk and dive into project with decent hype (but not overhyped ofc) with well-known and authoritative names on board. Because with such unstable market investors do not want to wait but to get a quick turnover.
So a good sign is when a great team coupled with huge names and influencers. IMHO ofc

Good ICOs are harder to find as the day pass. The word "GEM" is a niche in describing these ICOs. We can't trust almost every ICO rating websites these days because more often than not they advertise ICOs that are not sorted well or studied enough to be called GEM. Sometimes an individual study or research about the project often leads to a red flag than the ICO rating sites saw themselves.

Yeah Agree. Finding projects is easy but knowing if the project is legit or not is hard, if we only rely on those review sites we all just end as a broke. Right now, I consider menlo.one as a gem which I currently have an investment.

Main things to look at when choosing a best ICO is, read out their whitepaper, roadmap, team member’s profiles, infrastructure existing on earth, amount invested and the project taken upon have to be checked and analyzed. These details will provide you the enough information on the best ICOs and legit ICOs. We have campaign managers who analyze and choose the best projects. Find out the bounties managed.  Try investing into these projects once analyzed. This will return a decent profits.

Yeah there's so much information to swim through nowadays, and so much work behind finding the right ICO. It's a bit overwhelming for someone who hasn't done much work with crypto to try and distinguish one from the other. Thanks for the list of pointers, that is certainly good advice.

I don't know if it would be better to hire someone to do this for you or not. It might help to work with an advisor at the beginning just to see how they do it, and then start out for yourself, but starting small.

There is always a possibility that a successfully looking project would collapse right in the middle, so everyone's advice here is just "Invest on what you can afford to lose", You are right start small. Also no advice is perfect, the best teacher is always experience. Also there are some review sites like icobench and menlo.one that can help you where to start investing your money.

It's good to invest small and lose small, but in order to be rich, I believe that the higher your risk appetite, the bigger your potential gains; of course it would ultimately depend on the project you choose to invest in. Just like what I did with Neo and Spectre, I'm gonna wing it with Menlo One.

Exactly, extremely high risk assets have great potentials for return so don't need to have extremely large investments. If someone wants to buy 0.5 BTC now they'll need almost $4000, but if they put that money into 20 different cryptos at $200 each, some may win, some may lose, but the ones that gain will gain 1000's of percent.

That depends again on the amount a person is able to lose. You've got pretty strong faith in Menlo, so it's good to invest more in them than the other coins to maximize the potential

There are whitepapers that aren't so professional and only copy pasted so take note of that.

ICO ratings now are used to advertise and make their names colorful and more believable for investors. That's another marketing tool so take note of that too.

Whitepaper
Roadmap
Team members' profiles
Its infrastructure
Its investment
Marketing move
The project
How long the ICO exists in its business

These are the main points to look at when choosing a legit ICO. Besides this, we have bounty managers who are bound to choose legit ICOs. Go with Yahoo62278, Hua_Hui and Needmoney.
Having those aren't enough to say that the ICO is legit.

The fake ones are having that type of qualities too but you'll see them running from their obligation to their investors and boldly open themselves as a scam.

Its difficult to know on what are the scam and legit ICOs.

I said almost the same thing in a previous post but I will add some more, only to ico.

Whitepaper
Roadmap
1) Understand the project proposal
2) Find out who the team is that is developing the cryptomoeda
3) See if the cryptomoeda has partnerships with companies or universities
4) Discover details about the community

In my investments I take all this into account.
Good luck

I think that you can invest in different ICOs but in my opinion is better to go on a exchange and buy right now some altcoins like lisk or whatever altcoin you know that it will increase a lot in the near future. It's a good time to buy altcoins cause Bitcoin decreased and now it's about 6500-6900 USD (depends on what exchange you use) so yes you have this opportunity , but you have to know that there is an risk : you wil lose some money if Bitcoin decrease more than now

Find a good ISO project is a real!

To do this, you need to have experience in this sphere, and also be able to properly analyze the prospects of projects. To look at ratings it`s necessary too. But while  you will not sort out with the project independently it`s better to not participate in it!

Short 3 big points to determine a good ICO project, however even if they do have great information regarding the official website as well as the whitepaper there is a big possibility that the project might fail or unsuccessful in the long run. But it those information really helps us a lot to choose a certain project, let's just hope and give our support to it and pray for success for us to be benefited if it succeed.

About the Team, this is one of my favorite point when selecting a good project because they are behind every projects success the determination, hard work, activeness and their experienced in the fields are huge factors for us to trust a certain project as well as more investors will trust especially if the team are honestly working and doing their best for the project. It is important to research on the background of each team members, the history of which projects they help succeed is one key to know that there's a huge potential the present project they are handling will surely made it to the top.

ICO ratings, although there are lots of good reviews some get a perfect reviews 5/5 or 10/10 we still unsure if the project will succeed but based on my observation people who runs an ICO review program are expert in this field, blockchain, marketing, I.T etc are part of their life and I know they studied it very well as they study the project well to conclude in high possibility of the projects success.

There are also scam project reviewers that we need to consider! I also search on Google to find if the project is scam or not!

For me one project that's very convincing for me right now is menlo.one. I mean, there plan is to clean the ICO marketplace from Scam projects with their guild based ICO review platform which I think what we really needed right now. Plus, I have been seeing their team, or there projects being mentioned on coin conferences around the globe.

I managed to participate in several ICO, some I earned quite well, I can say with certainty, for a good project, it must have potential for the future, that it will be needed in five years. Unfortunately most projects do not have this potential. I was lucky and I came across a project focused on protecting against hacking quantum processors, and to maximize the use of all the advantages of new technologies, project Kelvin Blockchain, you need at least to consider, because not every day there is such a good option for investing money. With the coming quantum technologies, the current market must experience many changes. To be more exact, many coins will leave the market, as there will simply be no demand for them, due to the same technological superiority.

Kelvin Blockchain project itself is flexible to implementing cryptographic algorithms which will make it one of the safest blockchains ever existed with 10+ signature available from the start. This project does not rely on any particular signature algorithm and due to the multi-client use - on some single consensus. In case of any problems, it is possible to quickly locate the threat and prevent it’s distribution throughout the system. Multiple blockchains with different consensus algorithms, token types, and assignments will be available. The multichain technology allows creating almost an unlimited potential for speed and productivity. Kelvin Blockchain can launch up to 2^64 subchains - more available subchains will benefit in increased speed and security. Moreover, all the blockchains will be processed in one wallet so that the client could have fast transactions, secure investments and cheap smart contracts as well as a lot of other services at his hand.

But in the three criteria you mentioned earlier in my opinion the very main is the team, if the team and the developer are competent people in the field, I think his project or his ICO will be successful.

All I could recommend is, as an investor, you yourself should learn how to distinguish SCAM and FAKE ICOs first. After removing these risky ICOs from the list. The trustworthy of LEGIT ICOs should then be sorted of what you think will grow BIG in the current market and not just a ripOFF of another platform's idea because this will just cause a break down within the community because COMPETITION is always healthy but too much is NOT. This is pretty common these days, ICO platforms are just changing the names of the features and services offered but if you look and study them closely, they work the same as previous platforms that came first. Also, you should know how much a of a budget that PROJECT DOES REALLY NEED. Too much BUDGET for a SIMPLE project could mean that the project and management itself has a "moneygrab" characteristics.

I also see that a good ICO project has a very active admin in their social media, And that's an indication that they really want to develop their project,

Very true. They are usually active and prompt to respond to issues, make clarifications and directs you to there goals. This is just what the trippki team do, they have a very active telegram group where you can raise and ask your questions.

token prices and total supply should also be considered because the price is too high is usually more difficult to get a profit than the less expensive
also look for ICO that already have agreement or guarantee for exchange

Good county = Good Ico = Good project. First you have to look at the comments here. Then you have to search the team. You should look at the telegram. These are important factors.

Just an additional to their comments in choosing the best ICO you should know also the purpose of their project and learn it very well. Read their whitepaper to understand more about their project and better to know the team behind it if trustworthy and honest in dealing with their investors and in promoting their project.

Finding a good ICO is getting more difficult by the day with hundreds of projects launching every month. One can no longer rely on whitepapers as one can hardly read hundreds of whitepapers per month and make a good investment decision. With that said, there are good ICO marketers such as krypital group that one could rely on based on an impeccable track record of successful projects.
