Yes, only copy-paste is the way to add emoji in your title. This forum only provided few standard emoji, as you can see when you want to create post/thread.

@OP this, or you could also add emojis if you’re on your phone, and if you use Windows 10. Just hold the Windows key on your keyboard and press on the .(dot) key and an emoji list should appear:

Nice one you have break it down to lay man understanding, what you just is called, theory and practical, and it's the easiest way to make someone to understand that's to show that you are  good tutor.

Apropos icons in the topic title, try avoid them a much as possible, and if you really want to use them, don't overdo it.
Some think that they will make their topics more noticeable if they use bunch of icons, but in reality it looks tacky and more often than not will have counter effect.

Depends on the context I guess. Definitely a no-go for most boards, but the gambling section for example would just not be the same without it in my opinion Grin 🚀 🎰 💰⭐

I don't know, maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I can't post emojis from my phone. I use dafault Google keyboard and when I try to post it, it simply doesn't shows after I publish post. Can't say that I need it much, but it would be interesting to know how to post it.

Icons are great in topic titles - they show the threads that aren't worth reading.

You can see differences between serious boards: Meta, Bitcoin Technical support, Bitcoin Development & Technical Discussion and the Bounties (Altcoins).

In serious boards, emoticons are not welcome. It is fancy but if is abused then will become annoying.

Im curious why even forum supported emojis and lots of iconic figures.

The way I understand it, emojis are pretty much considered as characters so every single forum supports emojis by default. Though there are some forums I use that has made an update specifically to decrease the number of emojis on a topic title(max of 5 as far as I remember).

Upon reading your comment, I tried it at once (in MS Word). And I am amazed that it actually worked (though some emojis appeared as boxes only). I didn't know about that before so many thanks, @mk4!

To improve our way of expressing ideas of course. Imagine throwing a sarcastic comment here in plain text, others might get offended isn't it? But with the power of grin/tongue emoji, your comment would look more funny thus others can easily ride with it Smiley. (Now read my post without a single smiley. It sounds like a preacher, right? I hope you get it.)

I think the emoji and icon itself is not the main problem, an abusive user is. So whether we only had one or hundreds of emojis available, it doesn't matter. The decency and neatness of one's post still depends on how he will use it.
Yeah, emojis add an expression or feeling on what the statement conveys. I get your point there. Cheesy I also use emojis on some of my comments when I deem it necessary. But I make sure to limit it to one or two only. Having too many hurts the eye already. After all, this is a forum and not Facebook.

Hello everyone,

Some threads have icons in their topic, was wondering how they got to insert them? I copy-pasted the moon icon in this subject, but does not seem to work..

thanks
Your moon icon does work. I can see the icon on your thread title.I think copy paste is the only way to do that. I have not seen any other option to add such an icon in the title.
Edit- Did not notice your edit  Cheesy

there is other option   use mobile to post before creating a topic and you can add other icons you like.

This is one of the example 🎩✨🎉🎃🏀🎀🎗️🎀  if you can't find the icon  you are looking then you don't have any other option than to copy it from others.

These emojis are applicable depending on the context because it can boost up the mood in the topic, thread, or posts that you are going to make.

They are right, copy paste and a Windows 10 is the only thing that I know how you will input an emoji together with the texts.
But I don't usually do this, especially if the topic is serious, significant and requires a critical discussion.

It's up to you depending on your preferences but you should always consider the mood of your thread if it is okay to put an emoji in it.

Personally I don't like using emoji on topic title since its make forum mess and hurt my eyes.
Me too. With these emojis and heavy solid color it made forum looks like social site like twitter.

Im curious why even forum supported emojis and lots of iconic figures. There is no code that can be written to show them in preview hence still showing up if user tend to copy paste it.

Some think that they will make their topics more noticeable if they use bunch of icons, but in reality it looks tacky and more often than not will have counter effect.
There are lots of these on the bounty section and Ive noticed their favorite to use is the rocket icon and the big red circle. Honestly its really annoying. Im not sure why user think they could attract readers and users with these.

You can choose emoji what you want to use here https://emojipedia.org/

Keep in mind not all emoji can be used in this forum and most outside emoji doesn't work on windows.
