Not because of this thread, I believe it. But I'm glad about this progress.

This seems more aimed at HW troubleshooting but it also applies to SW. I would add that console sessions
with command line parameters for compile errors and run time error messages is also required.
Something that shouldn't have to be said is where the code was obtained. I got a few complaints of
compile errors that turned out to be from someone else's fork.

I will add to this. If you are mining, get a power supply tester. They are cheap and are available on Newegg and Amazon. You will save so much time if you have to troubleshoot your system if you have one of these. Also, if you have multiple mining rigs, consider having a spare power supply in case one shits the bed. Having one on standby means significantly less downtime if there is a failure, unless of course you live near a computer store.
Yep, this is excellent advice. Many of the higher end EVGA PSUs that are popular with miners actually come with a power supply tester, which is handy if you don't already have that kind of gear on hand. Right now we're up to ~15 rigs so we try to keep at least one spare part of every kind on hand since minimizing downtime is essential (especially in times of reduced profitability).

I gave you a merit for this good post. A lot of times some OP do not include the problem in detail and usually threads asking for help become longer and longer without reason as we that try to help ask them what is this and what is that in order to check where the problem might be. I think this post can be made sticky now that many newbies are coming in altcoin mining gpu rigs without knowing what they are really doing.

- Storage Drive (Including type and whatever that you want to tell us)
- Risers (whatever, as clear as possible)
- Operating Systems you are using.
- GPUs driver you are using in the current situation.
- Overclocking Utility software (Including setting you are using)
