We know that some people can't help themselves in panic and have the intention to sell their losses.

The best way for me to relieve stress during market crashes like now is to;

  • Stopping all price update notifications
  • Deleting exchange apps (if you have them on an exchange)
  • Not playing too much on the internet
  • Focusing on the real world
  • Keeping myself busy doing physical activities

Are there any other ways you can suggest?

The only way avoid stress during dip is only invest spare amount so when the price drops due to some market reasons then you are feeling relax, and it is only possible when you invest the amount which you will not be using for your monthly expense. The stress is only that you invested the amount you have with you to pay bills, property rent, grocery etc and when the price drops then you start panicking so if you don’t have spare amount to invest then stay away from bitcoin investments.

Although no one will feel happy if our investments are increasingly losing value regardless of whether we use idle money to invest because no one likes to lose money. But I agree with you, using idle money and possible losses to invest will help us reduce stress.

Some people will say that bitcoin will always increase in the long term, I don't deny that but we need to pay attention that bitcoin is unpredictable. No one knows when it will rise, when it will be dumped, the bull season may have ended and the bear season has arrived...no one knows what is going on. So let's only use the money we can lose to invest if we don't want to put pressure on ourselves.

For those who are having trouble holding back panic, there is probably nothing wrong with following the advice above, but there is no need to complicate things and don't assume that everything is over unless you trade Futures, maybe that solution is more appropriate. But believe me the market has fallen and risen many times, anyone with experience should have realized that there are times when the market is sluggish and there are times when the market is rising. Don't let the sluggish market judge yourself as if it were your fault.

yeah if there's someone that should be stressing in this market it'd be the future trader, because with futures our capital act as a margin, it can get liquidated if market crashing but the people who buys bitcoin traditionally and hold it won't get affected, even better if they can just leave their bitcoin be and set alarm when BTC reached their price target.

if i'm the people who were holding BTC despite recent market crash, i won't sweat at all, i just gonna leave it be until the market settles the dust.

Focusing on the real world or working outside crypto world is the best choice to make our self busy and forget what happens in crypto investment, to avoid being stress by the continuous dumping of the price of our holdings, another effective strategy is to stay away from the gadgets or internet and focus on activities that can relieved stress, example is mountain climbing, jogging with friends, play basketball swimming, dancing, etc,.

Totally depends on someones mind because if you are really that always expecting something positive towards the market or with your position then on the time or moment that the market will really be making corrections then this is the moment that you would really be freaking out instead of seeing this as an opportunity. This is why self experience would really be having that big role when it comes into this aspect because
if you do have the experience then you are already aware on the things that you would really be doing. You are really that much aware on how this market works and would really be acting according into it.
You cant really just that make yourself making some unwise decisions just because of lacking that experience. Stress is really just that normal since we are just human beings and we do really hate up on losing money.

There's no way that you could be able to avoid stress and thats normal but we do know that there would really be steps on which you would really be that making yourself at least be able to avoid
or able to make yourself divert your attention into something else on which it could cause up that avoidance on some actions due to on being that impulsive on which we know that most of the time
you would really be making up some shit decisions on this case. This is why it would really be that important that experience in correlated to this.

I guess despite of those suggestions listed above, the fact that we are investing in such a volatile market, it's normal to be stressed at some point but as long as you can manage them and overcome those pressures, then there will be no problems at all. We are humans with sensitive emotions, and what we don't like to see will certainly stress us, but we all know emotions are hard to control, so learn to manage them on a positive way so that it will also create a positive scenario.

Yes, there will be a time that no matter what we do here, we will be stressed out and it's really hard to cope with it. We all know though that it's all mental, so you will really need to fight it out yourself and it takes time to master that self-control on how not to be affected negatively.

Let's say though that the market makes a huge correction, it might have help if we are going to focus and look at the bigger picture. If we see have that prediction that at the end of 2025, the price could be $100k+, it might calm our nerves because that is our long term goal. Focus on the gains itself and not the losses that we are going to suffer if the market crashes.

Experience can indeed be a direction for every Bitcoin investor, but it must also be accompanied by a mature level of knowledge and a steady level of psychology so that every time you want to make a certain step or decision in certain conditions it can be more appropriate. Because the loss of an investor resulting from panic is actually a bit ridiculous, especially if they themselves do not have the right education in running investments and also in dealing with market situations that often change like today.
With the existence of knowledge a person can continue to improve experience as a step to train investment skills and with experience people can see how investment trips can continue to grow from previous mistakes. Panic is caused because someone does not understand how to carry out the correct investment so they experience panic when Bitcoin experiences correction. From this, the experience is needed to see Bitcoin's journey so that people can be a little more relaxed when Bitcoin experiences correction in the market.

Bitcoin is quite speculative but that does not mean that someone cannot minimize and the way we can do is be patient. When the market is corrected, one can be calm and do not need to think to decide the loss in the period of decline. That is why knowledge and experience is important as an effort to avoid losses caused by lack of understanding of investment.

never have more than you can afford to lose in the market is the only way that truly works.
Yes, its the most common or lets say that this is really that indeed the most basic on which someone should really be doing not only on dealing up with crypto investment but also in other ventures as well.
We do know that we would really be needing up on taking up some risks for us to obtain something on which its the most basic concept. This is why it would really be that ideal that you do already accept on whatever the things that you would really be able to encounter so that it would really be able to give out that kind of frustration and disappointment. It would really be always best that you should really be that knowing
on how you would gonna be dealing and what are the things that you should really gonna do. Never ever make yourself that too desperate on becoming that profitable because this would really be causing
up that kind of potential problem on which you would really be that able to encounter. It is really that always important on thinking up realistically on how things works and what are those probabilities of things to happen.

The wrong thing on some people is that on the moment or time that they do become that too hoping for something positive results then they do really that becoming delusional.
They would really be hoping or seeing things in advance that they could be profitable on the moment that they would be making up positions and when market crash happens.? Then what would really be your
main emotion or thinking up into that condition? Pretty sure it would really be having those realizations that you are really that being too delusional into this aspect.
You would really be normally be making those adjustments accordingly.

Experience will be a strength where we can learn to continue to improve and it is with experience that people can achieve the best investment potential to minimize any risks resulting from investment. Most people will definitely feel panic when they don't have experience so they will try to decide on losses by selling when there is a decline and with experience we can see past events regarding Bitcoin's journey.

In terms of managing emotions in trading is not easy, there are quite a lot of ways and theories that can be learned but it is not easy to apply. If we look at the whole mistakes or panic that occur that cause losses on average experienced by beginners in trading, especially those who are less experienced, so it is undeniable that traders who are used to going through situations when market prices are falling are not too stressed thinking about it.

  • Deleting exchange apps (if you have them on an exchange)
There is really no need to delete an exchange when you don’t invest more than your capability you will have nothing to fear for and also when you set out plan and you are disciplined enough it will be difficult for you to go back and sell off your investment after a dip.

  • Stopping all price update notifications
This is good so at least you don’t have to always see updates about the market which could affect your mental wellbeing when you’re losing money but all this can be avoided when you only invest what you can afford to lose. It is always advised to always invest wisely that way you won’t have anything to worry about even when there is a dip in price.

  • Not playing too much on the internet
I will be on the internet, but that doesn’t mean I will keep on opening the exchange and checking how the market is. There are other things that I can be doing on the internet that will keep me busy, and I won’t even think about the crash in the market.
Internet has its advantages and disadvantages so it also good to always be active online so you don’t miss out on certain updates. Sometimes awareness helps a person avoid certain crashes because knowing early will make him to take some actions early to avoid being hit by the crash. It is also good to help keep a person distracted from the dips that occur.

It will depend on how much you have invested in this market. If you only invest a small portion of your assets in this market, and you have many different sources of income and diversify your assets into other areas. You can easily ignore the short term volatility of the market and won't even be tempted like you said. But if you put the majority of your assets in the market and it's a large amount of money, it will feel completely different.

Many people claim they don't feel panic every time the market corrects strongly and I also trust them somewhat but I guess they don't invest too much here. Because no one will feel comfortable when yesterday our assets were worth millions of dollars and now it has decreased in value by 20%-30% and may decrease even more. That is a huge pressure even though we all know that bitcoin will also recover over time.
Diversification is the best financial tactic one can use to avoid getting liquidated from all your assets. Those who invest everything they have in one place are the ones who know nothing about asset management. If you have one million dollars and need to invest it all, you are doing something wrong if you invest the whole amount only in one area of investment such as cryptocurrencies or real estate, etc. You need to diversify, that's the key.

When you diversify, and put your money in different markets with different behaviours, you will never have a dry season because if at one time, one market isn't going well, the other will be giving you profit, and if two aren't doing well, the third one will do something for you. That's the advantage of diversification.

I agree with this one, the more experienced an investor is, the better their way of minimizing losses. At the very least, they won't sell as prices fall, while they will buy and increase the potential for a quicker reversal.

Yes of course. Long-term holders basically do not completely ignore price changes or trends. They will continue to monitor price changes so as not to miss other good opportunities to build a portfolio. This is what most experienced investors do, I mean they will buy a lot during a downturn and accumulate it in the long term.
Long-term holders will only take advantage of dips to accumulate purchases and they will not consider dips due to panic concerns, although sometimes they also monitor price changes. Long-term investments can provide benefits because we can continue to collect and will not cause panic even though prices are experiencing a decline. Knowledge and experience cannot be separated, but if we implement long-term investments it will be much easier to control panic.

The most important thing is that when we are involved in investing, we understand the fundamental level of the coin and we also know that the coin has the best capabilities. That's why people prefer bitcoin as a long-term investment step because it has been proven to have strength under any conditions.

Everything you've said are just plain suggestions that won't guarantee that you will never get stressed in the market. The fact that you know what is currently happening with your investment is stressful enough, and unless the market won't start to recover, you will never be relieved from stress and pressures.
this. can't really disregard the market if our money is on the line and the market tanking Grin. but using the money that we can afford to lose could also help aside from having the mindset that the market crashes won't last foerever.
because by using the money that we can afford to lose, we essentially get rid of our fear of not making it out from the market and losing our entire wealth, basically if it goes to zero, well just move on and if it somehow go really high then lucky us.

Now, I've only one suggestion, learn to control yourself from not getting too much involved with your investment. Seems like impossible but actually possible. Invest at an amount you can afford to lose so that you won't be struggling with your investment if ever the market crashes,  but instead just chill and relax knowing the market won't be crashing forever.

If you have seen or experienced the November 2022 Bitcoin dumping market, you will surely understand that no bad situation ever lasts.
Then the Bitcoin market dropped to $16k only because of the FTX exchange scandal and the market has grown almost five times in just two years.
No matter how adverse the environment may be, if you persevere, you can surely reap the benefits in the future that many are currently reaping from past records.  So patience can be the only good solution for the current situation.

  • Stopping all price update notifications
I don’t really like receiving price notifications, I get distracted, and sometimes I do end up doing things that I am not supposed to do when I am being notified about the price of a coin at a particular time, so what I do mostly is that I do not activate the futures always, whenever I want to check the price of a coin, I will check it myself.

  • Deleting exchange apps (if you have them on an exchange)
This is not really necessary, I see this as a waste of time. Why do you have to delete all the exchanges that you are having whenever there is a bear market? It doesn’t really make any sense to me. The best thing is not to go close to where those coins are stored. And why are you even supposed to leave your coins on exchange? It’s not supposed to be like that.

  • Not playing too much on the internet

In gambling, you shouldn't gamble with money, which you can't afford to lose. The same thing applies to trading and investing.
Even if you apply all the tips from your list, you would still be stressed out about the crypto price crash, because your financial situation would depend on the current crypto prices. The cryptocurrency markets are very volatile and it's normal to witness big price dumps every now and then. It's impossible for the Bitcoin price to keep going up and up, without any price corrections and bear markets.
Not using the internet and staying away from online activities during a price crash seems like a funny advice, if you ask me.
Trading definitely is something that you would be doing with more stress, because you have a feeling that you may actually make some profit from it, and that means while you are gambling you are not really looking into making a profit and if you do then that's a mistake like mentioned before.

This is why if you want to be a good trader, you should be aiming for a profit and most traders are not making that profit right now, because the market is down and many of them think that they are not going to do that fine. I believe that we should be considering this market crash as something benefiting us, because we could buy right now and make more profit later on, and newbies should be shown that and if they make a profit they would have more courage.

Because that way, stress would go away, there are two options, either you trade and make a profit, or you trade and it goes down and you buy more and hold long term and make a profit anyway. That's the way it should be and the stress would go away when you do that, it would benefit you and the profits will come. No matter how newbie or veteran you are, this method will make sure that your stress isn't too much and you end up with something good.

Ignoring the market price and focus on other activities, it  will help newbies to avoid panic whenever the price is decreasing in the market, because no matter how old newbies are in the crypto investment, they must panic when they are holding huge amount of coins and the market price is still decreasing. Having the knowledge of holding long, it can make you not to panic during the bearish season, because no matter how low the price may reach in the market, it will definitely increase higher to your wish before you can trade to make income, because you have the knowledge of holding long. I think, stoping all price update notification will make some Newbies to avoid panicking, because the majority of users that panic during the massive bearish season are newbies, because they always focus on price update notification which  they need to avoid to overcome panic during the bearish season.

In my case it is from experience. In the recent dip, a friend who has started investing a year ago asked me via Whatsapp: "Hey, how do you see the market drop?" To which I replied with a GIF of a guy yawning.

When you've been doing this for a while you know it's normal. And what's more, when we have been in the bull market for a while, which is when some newbies are investing because it seems that the price is going to keep going up non-stop until infinity, that's when I expect a crash to come imminently.
What you should not do is to buy high and get scared in the crash and sell.

When there is a major crash in the market, there is usually uncertainty among investors. In this instability, many people sell their assets which is the biggest reason for their losses. Investors must keep their spirits up as such situations are not uncommon in the crypto space. I must agree with you that if one stops looking at his portfolio during that fall he can be stress free during this period. Sometimes it can be seen unconsciously so if those apps are removed it can definitely play an effective role in relieving such stress. The investor should remember that he has no investment. He has to forget his investment. As much as possible he will feel the pressure if he does not keep himself busy with other activities. I can emphasize that if a person wants to forget about his crash then he can take these steps which will definitely be able to keep an investor stress free.

The best way is to learn how to stop caring about the price. Step away from the screen. At some point you will become a Bitcoin veteran who does not care about market movements. And that is also when your risk of panic-selling and thereby losing money, becomes minimal to non-existent. But until that point, the only thing holding you back from making a bad decision is your self-discipline. Unfortunately many people lack self-discipline.
Sometimes it's hard not to care about the price, let alone stay away from the screen because it can be our daily screen to find any information and behind it all can certainly be a panic when the price drops.
Yes, now learn not to care about the price, because if you continue to pay attention it could be that they will sell because they don't want to lose more, if there is no doubt then you can buy again at the lowest price.
Bitcoin back to $60K recovery will happen soon, then the market crash only happened a few days.

As a investor, you are right, it's hard not to care about the price. However, if you are going to keep on looking at the price like every hour, then it can stressed you out. So for those who have the experience already, I doubt that they are going to do that, instead they are going to just keep a mum about it or keep silent until everything settles down and then we can go on.

Just like what we have been seeing in the last 24 hours, the last time I check the price is $57k, now as I go on cmc, it's up to $61k. So just imagine if I panic when it goes down to below $50k and then sell, I would have regret my decision then. Are there any other ways you can suggest?

You are right. These all tips may seem still useless if you have invested all your hard-earned money that you can't afford to lose. This is the reason why we should know well our investment first before making such decision to invest. That way, you will be prepared if there are price correction or market crash that is going to happen and you are fully aware on what to do to avoid such losses. Learn to invest at your own risk. Losses are inevitable, at least you won't get highly frustrated if ever that happens.

We know that some people can't help themselves in panic and have the intention to sell their losses.
Panic is influenced by ignorance and most people who experience panic because they don't understand the journey of bitcoin, so they feel afraid when the market experiences a correction to the journey of bitcoin.
I agree with this one, the more experienced an investor is, the better their way of minimizing losses. At the very least, they won't sell as prices fall, while they will buy and increase the potential for a quicker reversal.

The advantage of investing in the long term is that we don't need to check the market all the time so that even though there is a severe correction it will never affect panic excessively because we understand that every correction that occurs will definitely have a gradual recovery. The way someone relieves stress during a market crash is different and it is influenced by the level of knowledge about the investment they are running.

When we understand investing in bitcoin, maybe a market crash is a momentum to make large purchases because this is the best opportunity to enter the market to accumulate purchases according to the capital we have.
Yes of course. Long-term holders basically do not completely ignore price changes or trends. They will continue to monitor price changes so as not to miss other good opportunities to build a portfolio. This is what most experienced investors do, I mean they will buy a lot during a downturn and accumulate it in the long term.

Well for me what I do is just not look at my phone. I will even now sometimes just turn it off because I do have so many applications with price notifications.

Not going on twitter and other social medias does also help. If we avoid them then we can avoid the fud and fomo that people speak of. I do not want to sell my coins for so cheap so it is how I do this.
Sometimes indeed everyone has a different way, maybe what you do is good for you but I don't think so.
I will still see the movement of market prices but whatever happens does not affect me anymore because I already have a commitment to the investment that I made so no matter how much the price drops it doesn't make me panic and even though there is an increase it doesn't make me tempted before the price hits like my initial plan.

With the recent crash that happened in the crypto market, some investors who have not experienced something like this before will panic and sell their bitcoin at a loss if they aren't strong enough to hold their investments. Not all investors will be able to handle the dip in the crypto market. The points you listed above are valid to help investors relieve themselves in times like this. Another thing that will help investors relieve themselves is that if they have extra money to buy the dip, they will see this dip as an opportunity to accumulate bitcoin at a low price, and they will get over the dip because they seized the opportunity in the market to accumulate more stash at a discount price.
Those who panic when they see that market conditions are declining, of course, because they do not understand well how Bitcoin works, so they sell their assets at a loss and also things like you mentioned will also affect someone to hold their investment because they do not have another source of income that can be used for their needs so they have to sell some of the assets they own.

Buying in a declining condition is certainly very good, but we also have to have enough funds and be able to hold it in a short period of time because if we continue to buy it and can't hold it until the price rises again, of course this will make losses for ourselves, so before deciding to take advantage of the declining condition, of course we must first have a source of funds that we can indeed hold on to for a long period of time.

The rise and fall of Bitcoin prices is something that we have seen very often over the years so that almost everyone has a fairly mature plan with what they have experienced when they have committed to continuing to invest in their respective ways of thinking while still making Bitcoin their main focus. But most people also really want to take advantage of the moment of price drops to buy Bitcoin which will ultimately also increase the number of Bitcoin assets that they have held so far and I think that is also good because it includes people who do not panic when they see a price drop happening in Bitcoin.

To be fair it is not really fair to say that we should "avoid" crypto just because it's down. Realizing that downs are natural part of the market should be more than enough to be fair, and I think that's what most people are dealing with, they think that it is going to be fine and they just see the drop as a chance to buy more, that's why it doesn't stay at the bottom after a crash, you see the price crash to a very low price, and then a day later it is already near 10% up, that always happens because we keep seeing many people taking advantage of the situation and keep buying, that's the most important part.

I believe that we are going to make a profit from this part too, we just need to keep holding and keep buying up, don't feel stressed.

this is why I like diverting my trade to stocks and crypto, because if crypto suddenly go down like this I can just get my stock money and withdraw it from the market to trade on crypto and get best of the best position from the very bottom.

I think for someone that easily gets stressed like you this strategy might also work, it works like a distraction to not get too focused on crypto market sudden dump and do something else, because the nature of crypto of always growing in the long term price chart, waiting it out usually suffice if your portfolio happen to be down really bad because of the sudden market shake up.

because speaking from my experience, people who easily gets stressed, are also vulnerable to making haste decision, you see those paper hand selling at the very bottom, those are the kind of people who gets easily stressed by the changing of the market direction.

Actually I didn't panic about the decline in bitcoin, instead I kept monitoring the graph as usual and it didn't make me want to sell bitcoin, sometimes if I have extra money I buy bitcoin because the price is discounted. In addition, I also believe that bitcoin is an asset of the future, so having this kind of belief makes us not panic.

This is good advice, it's better not to open social media when there is a decline, let alone listen to predictions given by influencers on social media. Because this is what makes our belief in bitcoin shake with the fud and fomo that we read and hear so that indirectly makes us panic and sell it at a low price. Honestly, sometimes when we have strong beliefs in Bitcoin after reading other people's analysis and predictions, it will affect our decisions, especially when the price of Bitcoin drops drastically by %12 like yesterday, it is very easy to influence our decisions. The most effective way to avoid stress when the price of bitcoin drops is to find as much income as possible in the real world to buy bitcoin again.

Taking a long brake from the bitcoin market chart is the sure way to staying away from every possible depression from market volatilities, this is very important for us as bitcoin investors as far as we intend to make some positive growth along the way, bitcoin will always recover each time it has a slide downward so for that we have to get ourselves prepared ahead even before we decide to invest in bitcoin and hold for sometimes.

Between that also we need a basic Concepts to our bitcoin approach in the sense that we need to build knowledge that can guarantee us a level of peace since that is what you need as a long term bitcoin investors, and taking a brake from the daily bitcoin market movements helps alot.

I can only suggest to look on crypto as a long term investment and not focus on frequent price changes. But crypto, set a goal (for example double the investment and quit) and wait. You won't have enough nerves if you react sharply to every price change. Just remember, no matter what current price is, nothing is over until you take a decision to sell. Yes it is always sad to see market being red, but nobody forces anyone to sell at low price. Just wait until goal comes true.

Everyone says they invest long term in bitcoin but they always find reasons every time the price drops and check the price every day and panic when they see the price drop. It is true that it is much easier said than done, everyone can say it but not many people can do it. Personally, I can't do it either, it's very difficult to stop checking bitcoin prices once we've made it a part of our lives.

I certainly won't sell bitcoin until I reach my goal, but there's no denying that every time bitcoin has a significant correction, I'm not happy at all. I also feel uncomfortable that the value of my assets has decreased significantly.

Suggesting not to check prices or pay less attention imho is also wrong. A person or investor must always be aware what happens with his money. Otherwise it will look like a reckless approach towards money. To people who see red market, and such market continues to be like that for days, I suggest to look on the price graph but select longer time intervals like 6m, 1y and etc. It might be that only right now market is red, but in general situation everyone are still in profit.

Best way to avoid stress is to understand why we move and to what extent it matters.   The boundaries of this current recovery are relative to the last sell at the start of July, current pricing is just below the closing daily lows of that period in BTC price action history.

If we cannot surpass the daily lows within the 56k area I expect it to resolve into further weakness.  If we cannot go up we'll test the lows again probably from which we have just recovered, BTC is a restless soul its likely to keep moving to test each side of any box its placed in.

  • Buy the dip
  • Buy Bitcoin
  • Buy the dippity dip of the dip

If you're stressed out of the market because these dumps, strengthen your heart. Do something that makes you happy and one of it is buying more Bitcoin.

You'd see how this is a shortcut in all of those stress, and soon you'd just say whenever there's a $10k slash to its price or even more, "I'm used to it".
DCA until you have spent up all the back up funds you do have or the USDT or any stable coins that you do have. This is really indeed the sweetest time or moment that you would really be needing up to consider on adding up your bags instead on trying out to chase or tail out some green candle. People do usually have this kind of considerations on the time that they would really be having those buying plans or strategies on which it is really that very wrong. Getting stressed on a market crash then its really that something very stressful on the moment that you are seeing your portfolio is really that on deep negatives. You cant really just that make yourself having that kind of relaxed feeling specially you do know that you are at loss, we do know that its just paperloss but cant really be able to resist that kind of reaction deep inside that you are really that worrying.

I do agree into that dippity dip of the dip kind of entry.  Grin
DCA even if it means that it would really be that becoming even more deeper in terms of the price correction. We do know that this isnt something that new
and could really happen anytime since this market has always been that volatile in the first place. You should really be having that right approach in terms of price volatility
so that you wont really be that getting self stressed out on particular conditions.
I recommend DCA but I don't recommend going all in and spend everything that you have. You don't know what might happen in the near future with your life and if you're already bankrupt and doesn't have enough back up funds.

There's a huge tendency that you're going to spend the Bitcoins that you've efforted to accumulate and DCA. And that's why when investing in Bitcoin, you have to do it with the funds that you're not going to be bothered with.

Many investors have made that mistake that they've DCAd, which is fine but then with everything that they've got and that's the wrong strategy that they've come to realize.

Because when a sudden turn of event happens, they'll be forced to sell those Bitcoins even not yet on the peak or even a break even or a few percentage of profit.

They say it's where your treasure is, that's where your heart will be. I think it's what the Holy Bible said. It's not easy to invest in Bitcoin and not monitor it except you have other means of income but even at that you'd still check.
For me, the best way to relieve myself of the stress attached to Bitcoin trading is to first accept that price will fluctuate so that I don't panic whenever I see a dip and then focus my energy on other productive things that will still yield money.

To avoid stress I remind myself what time I want the sell and I keep hodling. I also have fiats therefore I do not need cash so I do not have to sell. I have done some research and I know the market is always behaving like this so I just keep hodling. Deleting exchange can be of help but the apps can always be downloaded back without wasting anytime therefore if that is your only solution, it might fail you. I train my mind to not get worried about what is happening to the market and I stay aware from having discussion about the market. I also buy during the dip therefore when the market is crashing, what I think about is how I can buy and not how I can sell and this helps me to forget that I am losing value of my coins. I do not think that I have lost because I have not sold but I know my coins are losing value.

With this big event last night with the price of BTC falling rapidly, in my opinion, many people are disappointed, especially those who have BTC assets, because indeed this moment is a moment that is not desired by those who have assets in BTC or others.
But the other side that is beneficial is for those who want to have assets in BTC because they can buy at low prices like my friend who took advantage of this moment because he bought only a few coins but the profits have been obtained but still refrain from selling them.

To divert stress because the market is down I think you can by keeping yourself busy, but for those who are already MC I don't think they can help themselves to stress.

do something productive to make up your losses but don't realize the unrealized loss.

like basically if your position is already losing right now, just let it float with unrealized loss, because if you sell it means you're losing opportunity to make it up back again, but also set SL to prevent too much loss.
meanwhile you just try to find some way to make money to compensate for loss and as a way to kill time so that you don't get overly stressed with your holding position.

when things start picking up later on you will find yourselves recovering your loss while also got another source of income.

If you sell then you lose why panic or become stressed on the market it's normal for Bitcoin if you decide to invest in Bitcoin you should be aware of what might be happening in the future like today.
As you can see on the chart 3 times the price of BTC is stuck at the 50k level they called it 3 bottoms so there's a possibility that this is the last cheap price of BTC and later after this decline we see price surge and touch to 70k in a day without we noticed.

So think twice before you sell I don't know if there's a way to avoid stress but you should understand the risk in crypto unless if you are a trader and want you tell sell it to exchange it to other asset since altcoins/tokens are more volatile than BTC.

Everyone will panic with the market situation now, because in 24 hours the market was so deep more than 15%-20%, some news came out a lot of money came out of the crypto market.

But for me it's too much with what you said, I know there is a little tension with the market now maybe it could be a deeper fall in bitcoin to $40K if the market is crashing.

I'd rather be busy with other activities or continue my hobbies in this real world can forget about the current crypto market.

We know that some people can't help themselves in panic and have the intention to sell their losses.

The best way for me to relieve stress during market crashes like now is to;

  • Stopping all price update notifications
  • Deleting exchange apps (if you have them on an exchange)
  • Not playing too much on the internet
  • Focusing on the real world
  • Keeping myself busy doing physical activities

Are there any other ways you can suggest?

- Dont tend to check charts
- Dont try to see your portfolio
- Avoid on choice out some market apps on which give out updates
- Avoid on getting together with those people who do have that around on which it would be making up some impact towards your emotions.

The key on here for you not to be able to make those cut losses on which on the time that you are really just that starting to trade is that only make use of the amount that you can afford to lose,
or simply you are really just that making use of the amount which arent intended or making use for other priorities. On the time that you've known or seen yourself having those negative
funds but on those money which arent that too important then its likely that you could really be that easily to sustain and easily be able to survive whenever market crash do happen such as this.

Self acceptance whether you would really be able to adapt out on those certain conditions knowing that not all the time we are really that doing the right way. When it comes to market
crash then this is something which isnt really that shocking. Why? its just been always been that part of this market. Make yourself that too impulsive or crying then
on the moment that you will losing money then its an another story.

Yes, there's only one way that has been very helpful for me and that's to be emotionally strong when you see market going downward. Most of us who had opened positions are still in loss because of the recent market crash and the best way to convert those losses into profit is to be emotionally strong in such times.

The market always has its ups and downs and if such ups and downs make you worry or you panic sell when market dumps and FOMO buy when market pumps then you won't make any good profits as a trader or investor.

The market is still crashing and who knows how low we may see Bitcoin's value when this crash gets intense but surely we will see another upward moment after the crash and those who know this fact are still accumulating Bitcoin when its value is going down.

Stopping looking at the price update is actually going to do everything. But it's hard to control yourself when you've been used to it. If you are a busy person, it'll help that you've got some other things to do and forget at the moment what's happening in the market. For some, there is joy in adding more to your own holdings, and for those who have said that Bitcoin is quite expensive at $60k levels, this is their opportunity to buy. It went down $50k so, that was actually a good price if they ever have seen it do a flash crash there.

I still cannot understand at this stage in Bitcoins history or even given the
last 4 years that some people would panic and sell when the market has fallen
back. Its end of world thinking, its Bitcoin is going to Zero thinking.
We don't have the same tolerance for what's happening on Bitcoin. It's true that it won't be going to zero but they just can't help themselves having that panic and anxiety attack when seen crashed.

For the time being, don't look at the market because this decline will happen in the next few days because of global economic tensions that I know, 100 million more have been liquidated from the crypto market.
Honestly can't avoid the news about crypto because notifications always appear on my mobile and even X always pop-ups when there is hot news there.
Let's face it, there is no other way to do that because we have to be able to pass all the tests that are being inflicted on the market.

The market always recovers so having a medium to long term outlook is
very beneficial.

Also having an outlook that when the market falls its an opportunity to DCA,
treat it as a positive rather than a negative.

I don't think I need to do any of this in order to restrict myself from selling, as I have already developed my self-control to the extent that no matter how fast the market is trying to dip, it will be very hard for me to sell off my holding below the purchasing price, as it's when ever I sell out that I can officially record losses if not I hold until the market comes back to normal and even does better.

Watching the price most times might affect me emotionally, but I can also use that to my own advantage if I have spare cash. I can still accumulate more with the opportunity that the dip offers.
Good thing if you have spare money to add more bitcoin in your portfolio, that's a good opportunity to maximize your bitcoin investment. However, not everyone is capable to buy so hodling should be the best option, and in order not to be triggered with the price and decide panic selling, stay off the market first and focus on your other investment or hobbies. While you become productive with other stuffs, you have avoided as well getting frustrated while seeing btc price drops drastically.
Investors are wise in managing investments to maximize losses during bearish markets, this step must be implemented by every investor to reserve USDT in the same portfolio to increase btc investment during current market conditions, an important benefit of the DCA strategy is that they avoid depression and stress because they have been waiting for the current price moment to increase the number of btc, but investors do not have fiat reserves, do not rush to cut loss decisions due to terrible market panic, we must be patient in current market conditions and we are sure the btc price will recover soon

The above listed is a good way to avoid panicking on there  investment especially this period that Bitcoin is getting everybody confused in regards to the actual movement because a week or two weeks ago we were almost certain that we are about to enter the bull season and so many people were so happy but it was surprising to see that the market is not actually done with the bearish season, so right now for those who easily get emotional on there investment in terms of seeing there investment declining should try as much as possible to stop price notifications on there cellphone because is one of the things that makes people to panic a lot, however the one I like most about your listed is the aspect you mentioned that engaging on other normal activities to distract themselves from thinking too much because that could actually help those kind of investors a lot.

All the point you mentioned are on point and helpful in time last me this when the market is in crisis most especially in a downtrend directions, the thing that mess with bitcoin investors emotions is the frequency of bitcoin price updates that are constantly being put in they faces and if you can get rude of that undate, you will be better off in all cases, but this can not work with a trader, and only long term investors can apply this technique in dealing with bitcoin market price changes, but still there is what will work for both long term investors and traders when talking about bitcoin and it frequent price movements which is.

The acceptance of the fact that bitcoin should be taken as an unstable asset when it comes with price, and at the same time bitcoin should not be viewed only in the positive light when holding it, what that means is that, as you expect profits from bitcoin so you should also expect loses and not to rate the ratio of profits possibility more than the loses and infact one will lose more than the gains from bitcoin at most cases depending they entry price.

I think rather than carryout those steps as you have suggested in my opinion, the very best way to avoid stress and emotions from this market crash is to get to have a knowledge about the cause of the crash. You'll get less worried having much information on your side than staying in ignorance right now.

Honestly, I woke up this morning with a big stress about the market situation and all I wanted to know is the reason about this big crash, leading most of the crypto market to lose between 10% to 20% of their value in less than one day.
Any investor and crypto holder may get stressed and find this scenario scary, it is the first time not seeing an ATH achieved after halving, what happened this time is different than previous times. However, the market is very unpredictable and we can’t just face momentum ups or downs, everything will change IMO, whatever the reason for this crash, I believe Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are strong to manage a comeback.
As I read days ago that the stock market lost about $800 billion and that could be the connection to this plunge on the crypto market even gold and other digital stocks are bleeding too, so cryptocurrency is not alone on this one which gives the optimism that the market will recover in the due time. For those that have the extra cash it's am opportunity to buy the dip before it recovery.

The best way you could actually go about not minding the charts is,
Having other streams of income. This is the most sustainable and effective way because, you have what to live on and not border about what is happening on the chart. Your term goal becomes your stronghold.

Deleting exchange apps (if you have them on an exchange)
Focusing on real world problems
While other plans like,
Having to delete exchange apps wouldn’t work much, you could still visit these sites remotely on browsers.
Getting busy or trying to focus on real world challenges might come in but, not very effective as, the problem would still be there when your much relaxed. Mind you, when your money is vested and you depend on it, it’s a real world problem for you.

I don't fully agree with the points you make, 1 & 2 are not the best in my opinion. I tend to ignore price volatility once I decide to hold longer, it has kept my psychology fine even though I have lost thousands of dollars. It's not my way not to monitor price changes, trend changes, because basically they give me the opportunity to accumulate instead of ignoring them completely.

Since April until now, I have really noticed the cumulative value of my assets dropping. I didn't panic because I had considered price volatility from the start. Of course not everyone can do it, but some advice might help them get out of something that is weighing them down.

Doing DCA and not minding the market. Maybe mind it after a couple of years, 3,4 maybe, but any earlier than that and you just ignore it Tongue. Pretty much what I did after suffering from what most newbies are feeling right now with the dump. Granted took me about a month to do so but hey, still a tip I'd suggest 100% of the time.

Outside of that, anything that makes you think. Could be some strategy games, writing, reading, playing against someone, etc. Usually just takes an hour or two to forget about stuff if you're really immersed into doing something.

Good thing there is a thread about this. Because I am pretty sure a lot of people especially the newbies are so stressed right now. At least some gets an idea as to how some crypto investors are doing these bearish times.

I haven't even checked my Coingecko portfolio today since I get nothing but stress. I already received some messages from my friends asking how much I lost and what's the best thing to do. I haven't sold anything also because it's too late and I am also confident that the market will recover soon just like it normally happen in the past.

First thing is nobody is going to like the way the market is simply because no one can happy seeing their holdings bleeding even those looking for buy opportunity. But that aside, there one thing I have always say is the solution to all this stress when a market dump is before investing into anything use the ideology of not investing what you cannot afford to lose. Having a throwaway amount on this volatile assets helps you to reduce the panic or fear factor when the market is dumping.

Another thing aside your listed options is avoid leverage trading or futures, not that there are no opportunities in the market but the risk has just triple, except you want to gamble with your funds leave future trading for now or apply very good risk management

With bitcoin down 10%, ETH down 20%, and many other altcoins plunging in one day is unusual as we are not in a bear market. So I'm really skeptical of those who say they're not worried about the current situation, even those who still have money to buy.

Those who have money left won't even dare to buy because they are also worried that after buying things will get worse, so for those who have no money left and their portfolio is losing money, the worry is the inevitable.

To be honest, I don't feel comfortable with what's going on and what I do is avoid checking prices and ignore market news. This way I feel more comfortable and focus on other work.

You the thing is there are people that will still like to create hope so that the FUD doesn’t settled well, and those are the people who will be saying they just Bag more but mate I will tell you only a quarter of those spreading buy the dip do that, the rest just wanna sound hopeful and that’s all. The news of WW3 and recession are the main reasons here, it is not only about bitcoin or crypto you can clearly see that stocks too are affected. What I will say is look at history of the market, it will definitely bounce back, we had hit from $60k to $15k in 2022 and went all up the following year, so hodl on tight and only sell at profit

I want to add these for your list of avoiding stress during tough times in market:
- knowing the reasons behind the market being bearish, to understand what’s going to happen next, it will surely reduce your stress.
- managing your money, going into stable or less volatility coins to reduce your losses to the maximum.
- the best thing also to do is having conversations with your friends, or similar people that invested in the market.

Do you need to go through all these rigorous stress just so you don't get bothered with the market fluctuation? Just the general knowledge that deleting all the exchange apps or stoping all price update wouldn't affect Bitcoin price should tell you that those aren't things you should be doing at this time.

So let's get it right, what's your main reason for doing all these things? It's because you know that Bitcoin will bounce back and that's why you want take out hindernace that will leed you to make any bad decision, if that's the case, wouldn't it be better to keep doing your thing and if you are able to, you can turn this moment of market crash to period when you buy more Bitcoin. All the ways you've outlined is just like taking alcohol to feel high so you can forget the problems you're facing. After your eyes becomes clear, does it directly translate to solving the problem? It doesn't. Morever, that you hold Bitcoin doesn't mean that you've put a stop to your real world activity.
Are there any other ways you can suggest?
it's simple. Don't stress too much about it if you can't change it. Thier is no point deleting anything or going offline. experience the downs and get to know how it feels down here and walk with Bitcoin back to the top, that's my suggestion.

That's good, your self-control is very good in handling market events like now, it looks like you have been in bitcoin for a long time and your mentality has been formed in dealing with bad situations in the market.

If you still have and DCA of course it is a fortune for you because you can buy bitcoin at a cheaper price at this time, but for people who do not have cash in a situation like this he must be more patient and calm himself not to get out of bitcoin.

That will depend on each person. If you went all in at a price higher than the current price, constantly checking the price will only make you more stressed and possibly make the wrong decision. But if you still have money left and still want DCA, then checking prices regularly will be to your advantage.

But up to now, I think many people have invested all their capital in the market because everyone is waiting for an upcoming bull season. But things are not happening as expected when fears of economic recession are covering the entire financial market, not just bitcoin.

Many people who invested millions of dollars when bitcoin price reached $70k will not feel comfortable with the current situation.
