Thank you for thread, my friend want to start translating in bounty, but i dont know what i can advise her, because she has so small experience in crypto. But as translator she is perfect. i will send her this link.
If she's native into your local language and she has an average to fluent in English, she can start it anyway.
Then you need to start with some ICO projects and keep collecting your works because the portfolio is really needed to get accepted from the bounty managers, for the transalation bounty.
Portfolio is your base weapon to keep on moving with your translating career, what's the problem to most of the aspiring translators is they are afraid to try it out.

You have firstly to be professional in your original language, in addition with English of course. Then you need to start with some ICO projects and keep collecting your works because the portfolio is really needed to get accepted from the bounty managers, for the transalation bounty.

I also want to be a translator but the average of each project wants a proof that we have translated before. I also feel confused just like you, what should I do to be a translator!

Being a translator for the bounties is hard to get. To get the translation bounty user need to have previous experience, so that he can quote it as a reference and request for the translation for the respective language. To be a translator it is good to go with native language translation.

Hi guys, I participate in a lot bounties lately and I am bothered by one thing.

How can you become a translator when every single bounty requires some proof of former work? It would be no problem for me to translate an english whitepaper/website/ANN into my mothertongue, but with no former translations my requests always get rejected.
Is there any way to get in?  Huh

If there are some translators how did you start? Did you just get lucky?

First of all... Don't just wait to be accepted. Find out who the BM is, find them on the telegram and talk to them. THat is how i got my first job as a translator (it was for Play2Live so it was really big ICO too). I always prefer to find the BM ASAP and communicate with them, never just waiting Smiley

First you need to understand whether you need it. Then look for small projects and start translating, why will the portfolio be ready for you to participate in major bounties
Complete agreement! To participate in such bounty, you need to have a good stock portfolio. And you can start with small projects.

As an idea - you may suggest your service for free. Just one time.
Maybe it will be enough to accept you as translator.
That will be a smart move, offer your service for free. Who knows, you may even end up getting a reward for it as well as a proof of work to present when applying for subsequent translations.

well not really that they have luck or chance to be there, the only thing requires you to do is that you have to to do what requires from you and once you are done with this i assure you that everything will be alright.
although of the most thing that matters is that your links should be accessible for so that they can easily go true it.

why would a bounty manager choose you rather than other active translators with an expeirience of translating whitepapers and Ann threads ?
it makes no sense, you should try your luck with almost all bounties you find, maybe someone will accept you, and then you will have a former work.

Demonstration is the nest way too, if you saw some campaign manager running more than five bounties then try to ask him or her if you could translate one of his/her project, or ask him/her to give you work to translate and if you pass ask him/her if you could translate his/her projects in the future.

You just have to participate in the translation bounty,
Fill up their form and make sure that you are the first participant to translate the bounty in your language,
The bounty translation have a first come first serve policy and if the first to apply couldn't finish the job in the time that the manager gave him/her then the other participants could take it.

I do not know whether you read the discussion or simply sharing the answers over here. I see already gweigstar has been shared the information about to your reply saying someone wakes up the dead thread.
But since being senior member in this forum. Even you do not know spamming in the dead thread is right or not means what to say. Really worst behavior mate.
@gweigstar  keep up the good work mate. If anyone do like this. Just burst them bro.

Hey someone dug up this old thread, nice Cheesy

So you guys were right, after the first job it is really easy to get more. I've translated several projects now and received some good payments. Even though some projects fail and the time put into those is wasted.

I do not have any problems with this, English is not my native language, but I participate in the bounty and have no problems with it, besides there are bounties that give the opportunity to write messages in local branches
If you are native with your local language it will be easy for you to work as a translator, you just need a basic to average English proficiency so that your words are constructive and understandable.
You can work not only with bounties but being a freelancer as a translator is also a big edge for someone who's looking to earn good amount of money.
In bounties, you'll get paid with tokens depending on the reward that the bounty you joined. It's also another good way of making money but just joined those who are legit projects.

learn English)) and there will be no problems, or look for bounties that make it possible to write messages in a local branch, you can use an interpreter, but such messages are often blocked by moderators

you can publish your messages in a local branch in your native language if the bounty conditions permit, or you can use an interpreter and write messages, I do not have any problems with this

kind of like an internship i think Grin yeah well why not, maybe it is worth a try. Thanks for your suggestion
No. Don't offer your work for free even only for once. If you don't have any previously translation while applying become a translator, just find a project which will accept you without any history translation.
