Is the 150W per card a figure that you've measured from your rig? Seems particularly low in my opinion..

It's my most recent thread Tongue
At my local hardware store it is around $350 and I should get 700 KH/s (litecoin) from it.
AsRock 970-Pro3
AM3 Sempron LE-145
Patriot 2GB DDR3 1333 Memory
HDD (Any cheap HDD will do)
2x Radean HD 5850's
Corsair VS550 (changeable)

I'm not sure what your build is but I get 2x 5850's and all the rest for around $350 - $400

can you write down "the" $350-400 rig that you mention above?

because from what i read that 1 5850 is "only" 150 watt
so 4 of them "is" 600 watt

I would have said that if you're looking at putting 4 HD5850's into one PC, then you probably need more than a 750W power supply. With a 750W, as long as it's highly efficient, then you could probably do 2 5850's, maybe 3 if you're lucky.

Best way to check all this out is to use a Power Angel / Power Meter to accurately see how much power is being used...

and is it ok if i'm using 750watt psu? coz i have one unused

TIA for the reply
