You do not have to buy them, you can get them for free if you're promoting them, this is really a super project from Viberate.
If you want to become a music fan and just promote them, just click on the globe below my username.
This is a great future, while Viberate is well-known for its good vibration.

You will also want to setup 2 factor authentication (2FA) on your smart phone as this is an additional safety measure to prevent hackers from accessing your account. It is also used on some exchanges to transfer the cryptos out of your account which is redundant, but a good safety measure.

A good starting point for new people is either Coinbase or Gemini if available where you are at.

Is it true that xapo allows user to buy bitcoibs with the debit card? Or could you give us sites here that accepts debit card as medium for purchasing one. Some banks in other country does not really wanted to get involved with bitcoins thus it becomes a headache buying some.

You can google / ask all the time, but the only way is to use at least 3-4 major exchanges which supports a lot of different coins each (poloniex, kraken etc) only in this way you can aim to reach access to 50%+ of the thousands of coins available.

Best method I found is,

1) Buy BTC or ETH from a site like cex.io or coinbase
2) Send them to a exchange like Bittrex or Binance
3) now you can buy any coin which are listed on the exchanges

after that, if you want to transfer them to your wallet, you can do that also

For most people in the U.S., Coinbase would be the easiest option to buy Ethereum, Bitcoin, or Litecoin (it doesn't support any others yet). After verifying your account, you can add a number of payment methods including credit or debit cards, U.S. bank accounts, or even wire transfers of funds. Other options for exchanges that will take U.S. dollars for coins are Kraken, and Gemini in the U.S. Typically you will need to verify your account with a driver's license and add other details to expand your buy limits. Since cryptocurrencies are "hard currencies," the exchanges don't want to risk getting ripped off, since you can't reverse a cryptocurrency transaction once it's done.

If you are looking for some of the newer coins like NEO that are making big movement but haven't made their way to the aforementioned exchange sites, you can look into Bittrex, Poloniex or Livecoin. You can transfer Bitcoin or Ethereum to these platforms from Coinbase and then exchange it for any other digital currency that you want.

If you are outside the U.S., here are a few options for exchanges that take your local currency: BTC Markets (Australia), Bitthumb or Coinone (Korea), CHBTC or Huobi (China), and QuadrigaCX (Canada.) You can find a full list on this page of where to buy Ethereum for your local currency.

Most cryptocurrencies only have a BTC (or ETH) pair. This means that you will need to buy BTC or ETH before trading it for the altcoin.

For the major countries, you can use Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, Bitstamp, Localbitcoins, etc... If your country isn't supported by any of those, google "buy Bitcoin your-country" and do a little research to see if your local exchange can be trusted. Then, create an account at the exchange that has your desired altcoin, send the BTC/ETH to the exchange deposit address and trade to your altcoin.

You can find where each altcoin can be traded at: https://coinmarketcap.com/

Are you from USA? You can use Coinbase (it is an app and a website) and you can use your cash to buy bitcoin and ethereum. But yes, you need bitcoin or ethereum to transfer to an exchange in order to buy new coins.
