The company offers a system that allows users not only to trade digital assets but also to buy and sell cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, bitcoin cash, litecoin, dash and many more

What's difference between two?

Hey Everyone,

I have been trying to purchase Bitcoin, I am from India and I have seen most of the people are either charging double or are trying to scam.
I just want a legit person/way to purchase Bitcoins in India through IMPS or UPI.

I am asking here because I haven't got any information on the google.
I have a Localbitcoin account which I have only used to sell Bitcoins and have good reputation.

Now the point is I want to know if it's safe to purchase or not?
Please reply with a legit option.

Thank you.

I think you have the information that the RBI ban regarding the buy/sell crypto directly from your bank account  has been withdrawn so you can easily but Bitcoin from Zebpay. You need to verify your KYC first. And then the next process is super easy. As many people said earlier you can also choose wazirx for P2p buy option.

According my experience i find wazirx and bitbns are the best exchanges if you want to buy bitcoin in india. but rates are bit more in indian exchange compared to international exchanges.
Slightly high which is due to cover up the fee which is collected by the exchanges for every trades, when it is fiat to crypto the fee will be higher than crypto to crypto exchange and it is normal in crypto market.

For what it's worth, zebpay has been opened for a while for trading. You could use any payment methods described in their app. There are some instant money transfer methods available in addition to the conventional bank-transfer as well.  Zebpay has been remained pretty respected outlet for the trading crypto so far. And has better support team as well. In recent times I was not been able to check how good is their support team in resolving issues. But from previous experience, they are professional one.

Hey Everyone,

I want to buy bitcoin, almost all exchanges have a different fee structure. I wanted to know which exchange offers the least fee and is trusted at the same time, so I can buy the bitcoin without loosing too much money in the transaction.
Or you can use localbitcoin which has no fee when you buy bitcoins from someone but the price maybe little higher but it will be same as wazirx or other platform and almost you can buy bitcoin at instant as well.

I want to ask you a question. Can we use INR that we deposit directly on WazirX for P2P purchase? Or those can only be used to purchase in INR sub-section of 'Exchange'.
FYI i am not the owner but here is the answer you are looking for Wink.
You can deposit INR directly on wazirX and it will get credited within an hour and you can use the INR to purchase the INR pairing (USDT, BTC, WRX, ETH, XRP and LTC these are the coins you can purchase with your INR) and you cannot do a P2P pairing of INR from the exchange because the default is always USDT from the start.

In short P2P is used to sell or purchase USDT with fiat currency. I will still use the P2P model as you never know when they will target the users who are depositing directly to the exchange through banks, i just tried once to see how long it will take and how is the response time to get the amount credited.

Never ever buy from anyone without escrow, and that's why, you should always consider buying at localbitcoins or paxful because atleast in these websites, in expense of more fees, you are getting a worry free experience and chances to scam you are almost zero. But from a reputed trader and always check their reviews and ratings prior to buying.
I tried using Methods like UPI and it gave me a warning that these are the most risk including ways to purchase on LBT. Not sure if that’s the case with you or others.

You can't say its zero risk on trading paxful and LBC, for a complete noob it is going to be a tough task to find traders who are actually legit because most of the reputed traders won't accept new traders so only less trade offers for those new registered members will be available.

You can now use WazirX to directly deposit and withdraw INR.
Banking channels have opened up.

I am one of the co-founder of WazirX and we are working hard to make things more instant this week.

Do you mind selling me some Bitcoins over here? I will go first.

I won't mind dealing with you. PM if you ever need any coins.

Or use my localcryptos profile to put an order.

That’s okay. No problem! However the prices fall so badly😕

Yes, there's a saying. Buy the dip!
So if you time it right and can afford to, then go for it. When recovery happens - which will happen, just look at the charts, things would be very green.

But of course, only buy with one thing at the back of your mind, you may lose everything you invest, so invest accordingly.

As a buyer it should be a happy situation for you. Smiley

I think you are yet to buy so you can buy more now with the same amount of INR which you have got to buy bitcoins.

Unocoin is open for business again and a trusted Indian exchange.
Right now I am trying from WazirX. Is there any difference between them? Thanks.
Unocoin is the oldest crypto exchange in India also resumed their deposit and withdrawal support on the other hand Wazirx is now owned by Binance so we know how much reputation they have. Both are good to go at the moment.
Thank you so much for the information. I will go with Unocoin however the pricing is way too much. 20k+ on 1 BTC.

What do you mean by 20K+ on 1 BTC? Difference of ₹20,000 between buy/sell or $20,000 for 1 BTC?

I just checked the site and the buy price is ₹688000 and sell price is ₹645000. However, this price is based on exchange margin, you can always set your own buy price to buy cheaper.

I sold some of my btc today on WazirX at the price of ₹697000 today. The buy/sell margin on WazirX is hardly 200-300 INR. I would recommend you to use WazirX for now since it has lot more volume as compared to Unocoin currently. This may change in coming days.

As @manav24  has already mentioned, as per the current market, WazirX is the most legit way you can buy/sell crypto in India.
All you have to is to open an account on WazirX and then place a buy order to buy USDT from the P2P tab.
Once your order is matched you will have to deposit the INR to the user's account as displayed on WazirX.
Once you send the INR to the user's account he will release the USDT and it will get credited to your WazirX account.
After getting the USDT you can buy bitcoin or any altcoin from the exchange.

If you need any help you can post it here and anyone of us will be glad to help you.
Hey pawanjain,

I tried creating an account and when I was entering the phone number for verification it says my number is not a valid number for the selected country i.e. India. I need some help, i am entering the correct number.

Please help, thank you.
There should be some mistake from your side. May be you are selecting the wrong country code or entering the wrong number or something.
You can post the screenshots here or you can ping me on telegram @crptotrader for faster assistance.

It is better to buy form Localbitcoins and WazirX if you want safe dealing. Don't go for direct dealers or unknown persons to find low value. People are doing scam to give low price.

Wazirx is good exchange for Indians to get involved with crypto.
Wazirx has announced that it has brought back the INR deposits in the below article.

https://medium.com/wazirx/crypto-wins-inr-deposits-back-on-wazirx-ebd3e02fb968

So a much easier option would be to directly deposit INR into Wazirx and buy crypto with it.

Avoid Localbitcoins. (just my preference)

And use Localcryptos

Or Wazirx

I used to be one of the hot sellers on this forum as far as Indians are considered. These days I have over $15k traded on Localcryptos, there are people with way more trades there than me.

If you still need more help, talk to me. Either DM me here in the forum or find me on the community Telegram of V Systems.

Speaking of which. There's currently an airdrop for Vsys that is being conducted for the successful listing of Vsys on Bithumb.
Details here if interested.

I have a Localbitcoin account which I have only used to sell Bitcoins and have good reputation.
Buying bitcoins from LBC is more secured than selling because you have chances of getting money from hacked accounts while selling your bitcoin in p2p sites buy while buying there is no such kind risk but still follow the same strategy of trading with someone who have reputation and positive feedbacks in recent times.
