I suggest you don't use the instant exchange service if you're fine with KYC. In addition to being more expensive, I can't trust them with my card/KYC data. I'd rather use a CEX or other centralized services if KYC is not a problem.
I can neither trust instant swap services nor centralized exchanges with my credit card details after some centralized exchanges will still demand for ID document verification before someone can be able to make a purchase. Truly centralized exchanges are cheaper while buying cryptocurrencies, in this case if WAXP and many other altcoins, you can easily send the WAPX or many other altcoin to noncustodial wallet with just low fee, but it will require high fee for bitcoin.

Just make sure whenever you are forced to use these services, like I do, that you also request for their privacy policy. Then, after you've finished using the service and you don't want them to keep your data, request they remove it and delete it permanently with proof. Otherwise, you threaten them (and this is real) with reporting to EU (even if you're not EU but the service serves EU people then it has to comply). This is privacy legislation that works these days.

It works for me at one exchange I didn't use anymore. They deleted and showed proof. Doesn't mean it's really gone but I feel better about it.

Swapping from one coin to another because your exchange doesn't support them or you need a quick swap is probably the only use chase where I'm fine with this instant swap service.

After you buy bitcoin I'm sure you can buy the WAX actually I don't know what is this I can't find it on Coingecko and Coinmarketcap except for WAXP
It actually confused me too the first time I checked it on Coinmarketcap and later on Coingecko, just as Bitcoin is for BTC, WAX is also for WAXP, it is the same thing but the actual name is WAX.

If you are living in the US or UK you can try cash.app you can add the credit card into cash.app and buy Bitcoin.
The KYC process is fast I think within a day it should approve after the KYC process.

After you buy bitcoin I'm sure you can buy the WAX actually I don't know what is this I can't find it on Coingecko and Coinmarketcap except for WAXP it seems there are many exchanges for this but only Coinex exchange is the best place I think to buy this token they don't have KYC, unlike the other exchanges.

So I'm on "Change Now" looking to buy WAX by sending BTC to the address they give me.
Should you buy WAX in ChangeNow?
commonly, the fee is higher.
If you meant this Wax, you may check this information:
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/wax/markets/
You can choose an option there to buy Wax on one of the exchanges.
There are some exchanges that accept buying coins with credit card.

You mentioned PayPal above, did you mean you have Bitcoin on PayPal? If so, know that you can only use PayPal to either buy and sell Bitcoin, you can not use it to send or receive Bitcoin or any other supported cryptocurrencies.

ChangeNow is a noncustododial exchange, but not completely decentralized as it can keep data logs, but you can truly use it for the exchange. Being noncustododial, you can make use of your Bitcoin on any noncustododial wallet like Electrum. Did you have Bitcoin on your wallet? If not, try to purchase Bitcoin on a supported wallet, hardware wallet like Trezor will be better in this cases, but if you do not have such wallet, you may not have option than to use close source wallet which are not recommended like Trustwallet to buy the Bitcoin. Then, make use of ChangeNow.

Fees/ exchange rate is very high. Sums up about $13 - 100 WAXP then it would be with BTC to WAXP
Fees will be high, you will pay for the service ChangeNow rendered, you will still even pay miner's transaction fee.

Since you don't have a problem verifying your identity, just head to Paxful.com and initiate a trade with someone who sells PayPal. P2P is always the cheapest option.

That, or you can try the currency exchange board on the forums, but I doubt you will find somebody since you're new around here and people here tend to be very cautious when dealing with reversible payment methods.

If other platforms are also OK, from what I know Binance also allows you buy Bitcoin with credit card, if you are from a certain list of countries.
I don't know though how quick (or slow?) they may be. The details (and tutorial too) are here: https://www.binance.com/en/support/faq/8df758a570ba4d18941f38423f63aae5
