If you have Bitcoin, here is an easy way to buy XRP:

Go to  https://www.ripplewise.com/
Type in the amount of $ you want to spend, it tells you how many bitcoin that is and how many XRP you will get
Type in your Ripple address and email
Click Issue Invoice
You have 15 or 20 min to send the amount of Bitcoin to the Bitcoin address in the invoice
Shortly after you will get XRPs in your account
I have used it twice successfully

I think this is the easiest way to buy XRP by Bitcoin.

Since I basically just went through this process, I wanted to share the steps I took.
It was somewhat of a nightmare, but if you follow these steps, it should be a lot less stressful.
Hoping my misery brings you ease of use lol ...

1)  Sign up on Ripple.com.  Upon completion you'll see mention of SnapSwap.us as the payment gateway.
2)  Sign up on SnapSwap.us
3)  Decide on your dollar amount, and have SnapSwap generate an invoice.  They will email this to you instantly.
4)  Note, you can only do up to about $985 USD (maybe slightly more, or less, I can't remember the exact limit) per invoice.  If you type in more, it will give you an error.  So If you want to do $6000, you'll need to do 6 invoices of $985 (or whatever it lets you enter up to) and then another invoice for the remaining amount.  Yes, you are paying a fee for every invoice.
5)  Print out invoice, drive to Wells Fargo bank, and deposit cash into their account (yes its legit).  If you have multiple invoices, you must do multiple deposit slips.
6)  Note, the address on the invoice will not match the address on their Wells Fargo account.  This is okay.  The invoice address is for wiring.
7)  On the deposit slip, its a "Checking Account" you want to check.
8 )  On the deposit slip write your username and invoice number in the blank area bottom right. (yes they'll see it, they review the scans of deposit slips)
9)  Drive home, log into Ripple.com > Advanced > Trust > Add Trust > rMwjYedjc7qqtKYVLiAccJSmCwih4LnE2q into the Contact Name/Ripple Address box > Dollar amount of your deposit.
10)  Email [email protected] and tell them you did the deposit and dollar amount.  Tell them you added a Trust Line for X dollars as well.
11)  In a few days your Ripple Wallet will have a USD balance
12)  In Ripple go to "Convert", select "XRP" from the dropdown, and type in your USD amount to purchase your XRP.  You'll get current market price this way, and the purchase will be immedate. Alternately you can attempt to use the "Trade" system, which I was utterly unable to figure out.

Your USD will be converted to XRP and you'll see your new XRP balance in the box at the top.  You're done.

Right now Ripple Price is about $0.05 USD.

If you do your due diligence and determine that an XRP may be worth a dollar one day, you could easily purchase $2500 worth today, and when it hits a mere $1.00 you'll walk away with $50,000 ...

Hope this helps someone.
