The Star Atlas Wormhole is also known as ATLAS... there's where the confusion started. PancakeSwap did not have ATLAS listed, so I tried to add it manually, but it seems I added the Star Atlas wormhole instead !
To make matters worse, I traded 0.8 BNB for 3537 ATLAS ( wormhole tokens ), which means I spent about $250 worth of BNB and got $25 worth of ATLAS tokens back ! Yikes !
When I wanted to know WTF happen here guess what I got ? PANCAKESWAP OFFERS NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT !! Great
So I had to talk to my buddies at Exodus and they explained to me the Price Impact was set to 85% because it's a low liquidity token, so in theory, I ended up paying 85% more than the market value, however ! I think you would agree I ended up paying nearly 10 times more !!!
And you wonder why DeFi hasn't gone mainstream yet ! Can you imagine how would the average person react when they learn they lost $250 on a stupid purchase just because of a technicality ?
Please, don't take the fault on the dApp, you should have read everything else not just because you want to get FOMO by the token. You should have research more so that you may come up with the best possible outcome when you are buying. If the coin/token you wanted to buy is available on reference tracking websites like coinmarketcap and Coingecko they usually put there the different contracts if the coin/token is available on other chains.

Yes, shit happens but in reality the fault would still be on us individuals if we don't take any responsibilities over our own money. You may disagree with me but I always do more research over my investments especially when I am trying to buy the token on DEXs.

You are interacting with a so-called decentralized exchange/platform, it's different from a centralized exchange/platform that could give you support service. On Dex like Pancakeswap or Metamask wallet, the developers/team won't bother to give customer support. So you have to figure it out yourself or ask the official community(Star Atlas) for help, but there is another problem which may arise, you might be a potential user to be scammed/deceived, so make sure you interact publicly or just make sure that you are communicating with the legit admin.

After all, you know it by yourself that Atlas only run on Solana, why bother to bought it on BSC.

HOLD ON HERE ! Does that address belong to the Star Atlas Wormhole ?? Did I buy the wrong token !?
I went to Pancakeswap, added an ATLAS token... traded 0.8 BNB for it, and now my Binance Smart Chain shows I've got $28 worth of ATLAS ?!? WTF !? Or did I buy the Star Atlas Wormhole by accident ?!? Somebody please help ! PancakeSwap offers no Customer support, neither does MetaMask !!
Star Atlas only exists on Solana. If you are using other networks there is a very likely chance you are getting scammed.

AFAIK, the mentioned Wormhole address may be just a bridge smart contract, you bought the token via BSC but you have to redeem it on the Solana network. The problem is I don't know if that is legit. Just because it is listed on CMC or stated by members above doesn't mean it is authentic.

It's better if you are using phantom wallet. Solana was the first tier network and it's not supported by metamask as solana was not compatible with ethereum blockchain. The first step is download your phantom wallet and this is working pretty similarly to metamask.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/star-atlas/markets/

The possible thing if you are buying star atlas BEP20 that based on the BSC chain that was supporting the metamask. Solana can't be set up on metamask and you need to download phantom wallet for that.

Star Atlas is available on multiple chains dear, I invested in this project and use BNB chain because of lower gas fee transaction, here are all Star Atlas Contract Addresses.

1. BNB BEP20

0x83850D97018f665EB746FBb8f18351e977d1b0D6

2. Terra

terra1rg8f993m9834afwazersesgx7jjxv4p87q9wvc

3. Ethereum ERC20

0xb9F747162AB1E95d07361f9048BcDF6eDdA9eEA7

4. Solana

ATLASXmbPQxBUYbxPsV97usA3fPQYEqzQBUHgiFCUsXx

I use trust wallet and it's very easy to add any coin or tokens you want, just select and choose the network of the token and paste in the contract address it will automatically add up.

Do you need to have the Solana Network setup on Metamask ? do you need the Fantom network setup ? I've got most of the other Networks ( ETH, Binance, Avalanche, Polygon ) but I think I might need The Solana or Fantom Networks as Star Atlas runs on Solana.
I'm still not sure how to manually set up Solana Network on Metamask though, and once I do that, will I need to move funds into it ( ie. from ETH Mainnet to Solana ) to be able to buy Star Atlas ?
Im not sure though solana is different network and Ive never seen them on metamask. So definitely you cant buy star atlas on it via metamask. But I think they have some dex on their own. As far as I know, its not compatible thats the only thing why I didnt use solana cause I want L1 that can be used on metamask like avax and fantom.
