I'm a new person here, but I've learned a lot of interesting information and I want to share it.

The rules I adhere to when choosing an ICO for investment:

1, I monitor sites that evaluate different new projects (!!! but they can not be fully trusted !!!), if the project is rated 4 out of 5, then the project is likely to succeed.

2, You need to look like a website design company, it's also important.

3, You need to carefully check the project team, check everyone who is in the project team. It is very important!!!

4, You need to read the white paper, there is described in detail what the company will do!

5, Communicate with people from the team. They kindly have to answer all your questions and then you will understand if you should deal with them.

I think if you adhere to these rules, then your investments will always be successful.
Sorry for my bad English.

I would be grateful for Merit!!!

One of the things you have to check is the team background, whitepaper is just a paper, if the project has a ready MPV or prototype, then the team has shown some seriousness, then check the community for the kind of engagement of the team, from their discussion in the community you will know how good they are and how confident they are to deliver the project

Whitepaper doesn't have to be something you will take into consideration. I find many ICO whitepapers not to be technical, even they pay people to write those nowadays. Whats most important is that team/company have good past and good marketing. Because how do you expect people to buy into the project if they haven't heard of it?

After looking for these you can move and read in depth whitepaper and do other type of research. But let's be honest doing research for every ICO is existing and that's why many people are looking at the surface by using websites that rank certain ICOs as they believe those websites did good job in researching the matter.
