Seems a lot of scammers are loitering and getting ready for someone that will click their bait. So better be mindful in clicking those links that came from unknown sources. Always check the url versus the page you'll visit because these scammers are upgrading and thinking like a monkey.

The scammer (I say one since the sites are link to the same DNS) has updated the sites.

They are now showing new versions of the fake software.

In fact, the scammer is only targeting Windows users.   The links to Windows is the scam malware, while the links to other OS platforms are legit (currently).

Example:   Electrocash.org (the scam) links to a download on the site for the windows client, but the linux/mac/source is to a valid software on Electroncash.org  (note simply that the scam site is missing the N).

To claim BTG you can just use Electrum Gold, https://www.electrumgold.org/

It's the same as electrum, but for BTG instead of bitcoin

Claiming of the bitcoin gold might be possible, but this too needs a better understanding. In the past, during the fork of bitcoin cash similar incident took and blockchain.info themselves placed the fund in terms of bitcoin cash.

Claiming (or rather simply spending/moving/or whatever) is the same as other forks.

The only issue was that BTG had a hacked client on the site for a little bit.

Need help splitting off your BTG, message me; however, I would suggest you download the wallet and do it yourself.   It's as simple as a process as the other forks.

A Beginner’s Guide to Claiming Your Bitcoin Gold (and Selling It)

Here’s what you can do with your BTG now that the blockchain is alive and well.

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/beginners-guide-claiming-your-bitcoin-gold-and-selling-it/

Did block chain supported the gold fork because I had not received any mail form them stating that they supported it and the one can withdraw the gold now. Generally as far as I know they do send a mail and also checking the site I did not found any option or anywhere name of Gold. So how do you know they supported it or not?

If you can't see it on the left tab it means it's not supported. Now if you wanna know if they will support it or not in the future, Keep up with their announcements using SNS e.g. facebook, twitter. If the coin is finally integrated on their site, yes you will receive a mail (make sure you're not clicking on a phishing one)  although I'm not sure if you'll receive one before but most probably not.

IMO unless bitcoin gold gain a significant demand from users, blockchain.info probably won't support it.

Thanks for the information . At present I do not see anything else other than Btc , ether and BCH. Maybe in near future they may introduce and provide the fork coin to those who had Btc in their wallet during that time . Will follow them as well for future updates .

To claim BTG you can just use Electrum Gold, electrumgold(dot)org/

It's the same as electrum, but for BTG instead of bitcoin

Stop advertising a scam site here! This wallet is not even listed in bitcoin gold's official site: https://bitcoingold.org and it's not open source

Upon checking, This has been flagged as "malware" by electrum

Be extremely careful with altcoin versions of Electrum. For example, Electrum Gold is confirmed malware.

Thanks, that update to the Coinomi tutorial got me the BTG I was having trouble retrieving.  Grin Appreciated!

Yeah same here. For anyone else that is wondering what this coinomi thing is, it is essentially importing your private keys into a multi-coin wallet that also has support for bitcoin gold. Pretty easy process to go through actually.

All you need to do is to first find all your private keys from your recovery phrase on blockchain.info(there are tutorials out there regarding how to achieve that), then you will need to just go to coinomi, add wallet(bitcoin gold), and find the swep option.

Then, you're pretty much done and ready to go.

We are waiting for official steps to claim BTG because until now I have not got a link or a way to claim BTG, but according to confirmation via email blockchain.info will give all our rights if later split into BTG.
Don' trust fishing emails from "Blockchain" .     I receive every day same emails from different email addresses:

Please refer these 2 pages of coinomi to complete your btg claim procedure.

https://coinomi.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/29000016909-i-didn-t-have-btc-in-coinomi-at-the-time-of-the-snapshot-how-do-i-claim-btg-
https://coinomi.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/29000013719-how-to-get-bitcoin-cash-from-many-wallet-software-services-with-coinomi

The second link has the standalone bip file which will give you the private key to be entered and complete the procedure for claiming btg in coinomi.
Please note, that you wont get exact same amount as your balance in blockchain because coinomi deducts a little fee during the conversion.
Ex: on a 10k sat balance expect a 1k sat btg as fee so you will get about 9k approx.

If Bitcoin Gold will not launch, don't be sad and wait for Bitciin Silver, that is expected in December.
But for serious, that is new to me, that Bitcoin.info provided Bitcoin Cash. Maybe because they lost many customers, who exported their seeds to another wallet. The more important step would not be the split of Bitcoin Gold or Bitcoin Silver, but their statement to Segwit2x.

The fork just got over, so is there any way to claim Bitcoin-Gold from the split ?
I am using blockchain.info wallet and they did let me to claim BCC from the last fork from their wallet itself.

according to my research there's a way that you can claim your bitcoin gold  using your private key.  Cause they all said that bitcoin gold is like a token the process on it like the ways to convert token into bitcoin. Ithink you need to trade  first before you can claim your bitcoin gold.

Using the coinomi portfolio I reclaimed BTGs prior to that transaction I only had to import the recovery phrase provided by blockchain. I didn't have to add my BTC purse to coinomi just create a BTG portfolio and use this adjustment to claim the BTG "M/44H/0H/ 0H".

Not all wallets participated in Bitcoin Cash giving on the previous fork and I have got few on Hashnest. But this time not Bitcoin.info, not Hashnest participated in air drop of Bitcoin Gold, but I got some from an exchanger this time, YoBit gave me the same amount that I had in bitcoins in that moment.

You're lucky, because there is no BTG blockchain. It hasn't even launched yet. I don't understand what these exchanges like Bitfinex and Yobit are doing. They are apparently letting people trade IOUs based on the proposed snapshot. But nobody can even verify that this is the snapshot that BTG developers will use, since the code is not entirely public yet.

No one can even be sure that it will launch.... and if it doesn't, these exchanges are going to be in some hot water. In that case, people like you just got some free BTC out of literal thin air (assuming you traded it).
I  still don't see any wallet release for bitcoin gold but how yobit support bitcoin gold..
It was honestly hard to get bitcoin gold . but i heard there are other people who receive they bitcoin gold and sell it in yobit this is just what i heard if they are holding bitcoin

Claiming BTG from Blockchain.info wallet is not simple as it was for Bitcoin Cash still, I can suggest you a simple but a bit lengthy method for it.

Download - https://iancoleman.github.io/bip39/

Go to your Blockchain.info wallet and get you Recovery Backup Phrase from there. Now put that 12 words Phrase into BIP39 Mnemonic.

Now, you can check the Bitcoin addresses with their private keys and copy all you need. In case you don't find then probably you are not using the default account of the blockchain, go to settings --> Address check how many accounts you have there and change the account's field to 1 or 2 or 3 depending upon the list. Always Start counting from 0 as default account is referred as 0.

After that Download a wallet that supports BTG and Import the private keys of addresses which had the balance at the time of fork. That's it
Now you can transfer BTG to an exchange and sell them for Bitcoins  Wink

Thanks for the guide. I will try this on my old blockchain.info wallet. But is that mnemonic converter safe to use? Sorry but I am moderately new to cryptocurrencies with only one year of being around the forum. Is Ian Coleman a trusted BTC developer or contributor?

There is a slight chance that BTG will get supported by blockchain.info sometime in the future. This has happen before on Bitcoin Cash fork. Blockchain.info initially didn't support it, but they do give their user the option to cashout their BCC after one and a half month post fork. Lets just hope that the same will happen again on BTG fork.

As for this time, there is still no updates if there is a network available for the bitcoin gold like mentioned above. And if the developers of BTG have updates for the wallets, etc and there's a go button, then you can export the private keys of your blockchain wallet using the 12-word seed. And you can follow this tutorial so you can get the private keys and export it to the compatible wallet for BTG.
Make sure that you sweep the funds of your blockchain wallet to another wallet that you hold the private keys before you export your private key on BTG's compatible wallet.

will anything happen to my BTC in the blockchain wallet during this process ?

If there are BTG nodes online and miners, I dont think blockchain.info will support it all the same. BTG is not needed, it has no support from the community and the developers could be scammers. Everyone should be careful with it and dont let your greed get the best of you.

Yah, I got confused for a second as why would they be trading it already. I just realized that they are just IOU's probably so withdrawals can't be made until the official release.
I think exchanges are doing this for profits again, letting people ride the hype train again even though theres nothing really. The devs are on finishing phase so i doubt they'll back out particularly when the snapshot has been secured. I mean we all know they're gonna dump their private premines lool.

Yeah, they're just IOUs at this point. But I would laugh so hard if the coin never launched and people started filing lawsuits against Bitfinex for letting them buy a coin that doesn't exist and has no network. Grin It's pretty obvious that most people didn't understand that only a snapshot had occurred.

I think they are fully intent on launching, but it's surprising how incompetent the developers seem. Now that the market has shown that it values the coin (albeit lower than BCH for now), I would think some competent developers would step up and grab the bounty for replay protection. Then again, that bounty should have been much bigger, considering how big the pre-mine is rumored to be.

If you're talking about the wallets, they already have a few listed although most of them are for android and you can also run its full node. Updates are also listed on their site here http://bitcoingold.org. They're doing great so far so the coin should be launched by Nov 1st.

The fork just got over, so is there any way to claim Bitcoin-Gold from the split ?
I am using blockchain.info wallet and they did let me to claim BCC from the last fork from their wallet itself.

There's no way to claim BTG at this time because there is no live BTG network. The only thing that happened was the UTXO snapshot that will become the UTXO set if/when the coin is actually launched. As it stands, the developers haven't been able to properly add replay protection, and everyone is waiting around. Once the network is launched, assuming there is replay protection, you can move your BTC to a new address and then import the original BTC address(es) into a BTG wallet.

It's really odd that so many exchanges launched trading for a coin that doesn't even exist yet. What happens if the Bitcoin Gold developers never even launch it? It seems legally precarious to allow people to buy imaginary coins.
