A much easier way is to do it directly from exodus wallet, but you must have a bitcoin cash address handy. This only works if you have bitcoins in your wallet before August 1 2017. You can find the info here:

Okay the wallet I chose to transfer my Bitcoin Cash to is Coinomi.
Step 1: Dowload Exodus 1.31.0: https://www.exodus.io/releases/
Step 2: Follow the instruction on this link

Step 3: Download from your app store Coinomi Wallet’s version is 1.7.2.3+
