I know the markets, I'm already on Binance and Cryptopia which have USDT but not USD. I wanted to buy USDT with FIAT from my bank account and transfer them to the 2 exchanges for trading. Already did that through localbitcoins until now but the asking prices are to large. For example, I bought some BTC fractions when BTC was 6000$ but the local sellers sold the BTC for 6500$.
Do you try it via Kraken exchange? Here you can deposit USD and than exchange in USDT.

None of the exchange will support the fiat cash as a deposit option right! I would like to know is there a option to fund on Kraken. I use always Localbitcoins to exchange fund for fiat cash.
I know Kraken is one of the fine exchange is been used in European countries.
Mostly probably all the altcoins trading site is been allowed to invest the fund for trading with the bitcoin or ethereum only.
Kraken  have option  to deposit funds(USD) via bank wire transfer.

according to coinmarketcap.com which you can see here: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tether/#markets (you can always use this website to find markets on your own)

there are also markets for trading USDT (tether) with USD (dollars).
bitfinex was already mentioned but there is also Kraken and Exmo

Of course it's not going to the mon as it is tied to the $ so it will stay with it. I just want to buy USDT with my local FIAT (European Union country that does not have the EUR yet) so that I could exchange it for BTC and other altcoins afterwards.

Hello guys,

I did purchase BTC through localbitcoins, from local sellers, in my country. Trouble is, there are not many sellers around here (like 10-15) and they sell BTC at 1.05-1.1 the price (5-10% over the real price), which is huge. Is tether a cheaper way to acquire BTC/USDT with USD ? (actually, I will be buying with my local FIAT which would be converted to USD while paying) ?

I would like to convert my USD to USDT. I do not have any BTC nor alt coins, I see usdt is accept in multiple exchanges but how do I convert USD. Whats the best way to proceed and could anyone share their experience with tether.to?

What do you mean tether (usdt)?
If you want to exchange usd to usdt you can try it on https://www.bitfinex.com/trading/USDTUSD or https://c-cex.com/index.html?p=usdt-usd
There is a market available for usd to usdt and I like to trade there.

Thanks for the response. Just to get a clear understanding, Once i create a tether.to account and link my bank account to it, what is the time line?
ie. how much time to verify my tether account?
can I deposit into my tether account 24/7?
how much time for the amount once I transfer from my bank account to reflect as tether balance in the wallet?

before do it, be sure that you country not belongs to limited country list.

"In what countries and states does Tether have limited functionality?

Tether is committed to operating in a secure and transparent way, while adhering to all government compliance and regulations.

For this reason Tether does not operate in countries and U.S. states that do not regulate virtual currencies.

Current countries with limited functionality:

Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Cambodia, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Ecuador, Guyana, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Myanmar, Namibia, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Uganda, Yemen, Zimbabwe

Current U.S. states with limited functionality:

Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming"

I am not in any of the regions mentioned in their list. If you have used tether can you help me with these details?
how much time to verify my tether account?
can I deposit into my tether account 24/7?
how much time for the amount once I transfer from my bank account to reflect as tether balance in the wallet?

You can either buy it directly from them or on an exchange like Poloniex if you want to buy BTC first on a site like localbitcoins.
