your wish is very good, but behind it you have to have money, knowledge skills in cryptocurrency, statistics, partners, investors and many more things you have to learn, it's not that easy to make a website like that. and I don't think you can work alone if you want to make a coinmarket cap and others. You must have a strong team

That's the easiest way without studying web development. There are lots of plugins out there that you can use to build a website the same as Coingecko using WordPress CMS.

WordPress, many developers don’t like it because it is considered too simple and anyone can work with it, even without knowledge of coding. But still provides many solutions, there are almost no WEB things you can’t solve with WP.

You stated that you are not looking for developers. Maybe, you just want to gather the information for decision-making purposes.

I would say, it is possible to build a site that replicates the functionality of coingecko and/or coin market cap but the issue is this; you would have to do a lot of hype work in order for people to know that this site of yours exit.

This is so because there are lots of website like this which do not have the prominence of Coingecko or Coin Market Cap.

If you are a developer, then you need to get the blockchain APIs for all the major crypto currencies on major exchange platforms.
But if you are not a developer, you will need to learn some front end and back end skills first of all

It is a long-term policy and continuous development with creativity in the marketing department and patience for several months until you can achieve a suitable return.

So when budgeting, consider enough for two years with all the requirements for good marketing and marketing campaigns.

First of all you should decide either you will be able to do it or not. For that you should make design, development, and important part is budget which you should made. For web design you should hire a web designer, for development you should hire a developer, for graphics you should hire a graphics designer. And from those you may get an estimate budget. To hire them you may try here or reputed freelance sites.

Find the developers in LinkedIn, there's some luck in Fiverrr or even in this exact board but LinkedIn is your best bet if you want to find a programmer for your website. Also, you might want to prepare about 40k to 50k USD for starters to include everything you need to pay for the site.

so now, you still need to know at least something about the backend. If you don't know anything about it or you don't have enough skills, the best suggestion for you is to turn to something else or start learning a certain subject.
it is not that I only criticize will give you some hint. Try to search about WordPress and "coinmarketcap" plugin for them. for a relatively "small" amount of money, you can get something similar and functional, and someone else is already making fixes and changes.

There are so many websites similar with coingecko and coinmraketcap but they don't have much traffic and they don't offer any real advantage or new feature.
Coinpaprika is third alternative website but I saw many others like CryptoCompare, Coinlib, Blockfolio, Delta...

First you need budget to build it ofc aside from the building of the site, the cost of domain and hosting, website maintenance, also the premium api calls from different exchanges' crypto prices to get the average of every crypto you're going to list on the future market cap website of yours.

Yes, especially if you're managing it alone and only hire devs to do the work for the website coz you'll encounter a website related problem sooner once it's up, either from hosting, downtime or from attackers.
