Hey fellas,

Can someone tell me how to lower power consumption on i5 2500k.

How many Cores should I let run, 1 or 2?
I assume I should disable Turbo Mode?
Anything more I can do?
Can I undervolt and how?
Can I reduce clock speed and how?

Thanks!

pretty much a senseless question.

why is it senseless?

I don't know what you are looking to mine with  the gpu's on the pc or the cpu on the pc or both.

That cpu will earn money mining xmr

look here  at nicehash I mine  with

 cpus =xmr  also called cryptonight
gpus =zec also called equihash

so I do not see why you would cripple the cpu.   unless it is overheating  ie 75c or more
