I believe if you or other members understand the Rules OF this Forum there will be no such treatment. If there is such a thing, it is normal for a discussion forum because everyone has the freedom to speak and think as long as they don't break the rules.

You can just leave and forget that you created this account. As others stated already that it is not possible to delete an account. Anyway, could you elaborate more on why you want to delete this account? Aside from the reason that you left the forum and just want to remove your account. Could there be anything else? On a side note, I saw several accounts banned last month that break the rules by posting bounty reports with their alts. I guess, they didn't self-report...one more thing to do next week. gah

You can always hit the 'Report to moderator' button and tell mods that you currently ban evading by posting in topics outside Meta and more specifically your ban appeal thread. This is the closest thing that you can do to delete or remove your account. In a sense, you will remove yourself from Bitcointalk.

could that be the reason why someone wants to delete an account?

As stated above, you can’t delete your account. I’ve seen that you have been red-tagged today for plagiarism, on account of another of another account (@toheed2x) allegedly belonging to the same user. That account is banned permanently, and by extension, so is the person, who cannot any longer post from any other alt account of his/hers outside of Meta (and posting on Meta is for claiming purposed only related to your ban). 
But if you are wishing to use the same email to register another username by deleting your existing account, that is not possible.
I believe changing the current email to another one, then creating a new account with the old email should work.
