Sigh...   Sorry but this still doesn't seem to work.  Fastcash4bitcoins first of all only appears to buy, not sell, bitcoins and secondly all the methods transfer to things like paypal which are not anonymous.

Come on guys - I keep hearing how great bitcoins is - if it is LESS anonymous than precious metal sales (under $10,000 in metal sale/purchase is TOTALLY anonymous) then what is the point?  If it isn't anonymous then why isn't it is only a short matter of time before you guys get stuck with a big capital gains tax on all those bitcoin trades.  This is the same problem that allowed the govt (banks) to kill egold and all the other online currencies.  I hope I'm wrong and someone has a better answer here.

Thank you very much for the links.  By the looks of it then, in the US, I can either buy from an individual (not really a convenient or safe option imo) or I can buy with Bitinstant and incur a 5% fee?  Neither of those sounds too great although nice to know the option is there.   However using precious metal instead of bitcoins would therefore be a cheaper option since the commissions on gold sales are generally under 5% (through a dealership with no paperwork needed if sale is under $10,000).  Is everyone sure there's no cheaper option?  Does this mean precious metal beats bitcoin for low commission anonymous transactions?   Huh

If you are outside USA you can use this trick with VirWox
You can pay with any credit card, even Paypal.
Just follow these instructions.

http://howdoyoubuybitcoins.com/with/credit-card/

You have a daily limitation of 64 dollars the first 10 days, and your account will level up increasing this limit.

For cash:
