I read an article regarding merit, but I am not fully aware how to deserve merit on this forum, could anyone give a hint additional to provided explanation on forum...

There is one simple rule -
If you start yet another post about merits that just repeats a question that has been asked a hundred times already, then you don't deserve any merit.

Merit is released to prevent  spammers and low quality posters to rank up. So if your a good quality poster and contributor on this forum you will get merit easily.

Inorder for us newbies to get merits we should take into consideration the efforts that we put in every posts that we are making in this forum. Most of us newbies in here just spam our way just to rank up without any efforts of providing fruitful information that can contribute or benefit anyone coming into this community.

One liner posts or comments doesn't deserve a merit. Don't ask for merits or seek for one. It will just come automatically if you exert more effort in your posts and just try to help out the best you can in here. I know this is hard but there are some generous members in here that can really see the worth of every posts that your making.

This merit system is the best way to eliminate spam from newbies that only seek high ranks for bounties and signature campaigns sake and I'm very much in favor with this kind of system to maintain the quality of posts made for new members or readers to learn productive and meaningful information.

Goodluck with your journey in acquiring those required merits for you to rank up. Just do the best you can in every post as much as possible and you'll reach your destination without even knowing it! Smiley

I am not fully aware how to deserve merit on this forum, could anyone give a hint

From where I am standing it appears that you have a fundamental misunderstanding about what the merit system is. The way you worded the OP is very strange, asking for a "hint" as if we have the keys and are simply hiding them away from you. There is honestly nothing outside of what has already been said that can be told to you. I can suggest that you use the Search function or take a browse through the Meta board where you will find a plethora of information regarding how you can improve your posting habits and become a contributing member of the forum.

Do not be concerned about receiving merit, be more concerned about having interesting conversations. Read threads that you don't plan on posting in simply so that you have more knowledge. Examine how other users convey their thoughts and opinions, while seeking to take the best from each of them along your journey to becoming a better and more informed person. Try to consider all angles, and if you believe you have thought of a viewpoint that nobody has yet to bring up, then do so in a creative, interesting, helpful, thoughtful or nuanced manner. Nobody can explain to you how to be a more thoughtful person, but we can try to assist you convey your thoughts more efficiently.

I was given merits for the fact that I made tweeter audit to other people, think about how you can help the participants of the forum - help, advice, experience.

You need to read more and follow those who are earning merits, so you can see how they are doing.
There are several useful posts I founded related not only to merit, but merit-winners:

- TMAN`s guide to getting merit. In there, the user speaks about what kind of post he considers to be merit-deserved. He`s between the 10 most merited users, so you should read it: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/tmans-guide-to-getting-merit-3182178
- Another user, Seoincorporation, created a thread in which he explains what`s he consider to be the best attitude towards merit. I agree with him on many points: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/a-small-guide-about-merits-edited-new-ideas-added-3288547

There are other users creating many useful threads and getting merit for this. There are some examples, so you can learn from the best:
- DdmrDdmr, is a brilliant user. All his posts are amazing, and, of course, he receives tons of merits: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/analysis-of-users-after-merit-kick-off-what-theve-been-up-to-3308505
- Bitmover is celebrating how he got 100 merit in no time, due to the quality of the contributions he made. Also, he wrote today about some advice to other users related to the merit earning system: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/finally-101-merit-and-84-activity-celebration-post-my-thoughts-on-merit-3306385

These are my favourites, but many people are creating amazing threads each day and earning merits for that. Learn from them

Look around on meta board, there is a lot posts about merit.
This is the list of top merited users https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=topusersat
Find their last posts. We can simply read and see what they have done to be a top merited, then learn on it. And me, also still on learning how to create a constructive post.

I have also searched so much for this question because I was not able to rank up when there was still no merit needed, and i have learned that most of the merits are given to "quality posts" that are posted by knowledeables who are usually high ranking in bitcointalk. Mostly are links or articles about something important in crypto, so maybe Ill try so follow same path if I'll get some merits too.

One other thing, I have read in the meta that soliciting merits from users could be bad for you, so dont.

To put it simply, if you deserve merit, you're going to receive it. If you don't receive merits from your post, it simply means you post nothing of quality or you most likely don't know much about bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general. There's no sort of "secret" in to getting merits. The knowledgeable people here most likely didn't even change their posting habits and quality, and they still receive merits. Invest in knowledge; money will come later.
