Hello everyone,

I've got 3 stucked transactions that don't seem to go through even after waiting more than a week.
In the end I don't really care if they reach their destination, I'd even prefer to cancel the transactions.

How can I withdraw the transactions? I want the network to abandon them but I don't know how.

Well if you actually want them to be canceled you just need to way, and the network could eventually drop them, and the coins will gt back to your account. This actually made a lot of money to a friend of mine. He was going to sell 0.07 bitcoins to neteller, but he used low fees. The transaction was never completed and he eventually got the same amount of bitcoins back in his wallet. When he got them back, bitcoin was already at $3500. He realized how lucky he was, so he kept them, and eventually sold them close to the top. I keep telling him that he should buy them back now, after the dip, but he is still not convinced.

Anyway, like I said, you can just wait, and if the fees are that low, they will be rejected eventually.

There is another option to push your transaction, that I've never tried. It's called the Child Pays for Parent (CPFP). From what I've read, usually transactions send the coins to the receiver, and a "change" back to you. You can usually spend that change, even if the tx is not confirmed yet, so you can send the change back to you, and this time by including a fee that is big enough for the tx to confirm. This way, miners will increase the priority on both the transactions and they will complete at the same time.

Like I said I've never done this, and I will leave you this link, where I've got the information:
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/what-to-do-if-your-bitcoin-transaction-gets-stuck-1481042383/

You can also try to use a transaction accelerator. The site mentions ViaBTC.

Yeah a Hero member who knows that it is possible but never had to do it so has no idea of how to do it.

Just waiting? You mean that the network will drop the transaction by itself after a certain time?
I'd be ok with that. I don't need the money right now so waiting isn't a problem. But I don't see how just doing nothing will lead to the transaction being dropped. For me if you just wait then the transaction will just stay in the pool.

Try sweeping the wallet to another type of wallet client, ie: if sent from electrum take wallet.dat file and put it into
exodus wallet folder (sweep)
then open and send with larger tx fee to new exodus wallet address.
I think, in theory, that could work for you. You will have to spend some money to do anything, period.
Or you can just do what you don't want to do and wait  Tongue
I know it's a weird situation huh?
Sometimes if the tx fee you included is smaller than dust your tx will not get ushered through and will be dropped, but.. how
long that will take is anyones guess.
I've had a tx for over 4 months sit there.

Try to sweep the wallet.dat file, young jedi Cheesy

hmmm..a hero member and they have to ask a question such as this.    Roll Eyes

TL;DR
A) Either try to sweep the wallet to another wallet client or you wait.

B) Nothing you can do, Wait.

C) Nope, not much you can do.

Good Luck!  Smiley

My suggestion is  to contact the support team of where the transaction is conducted then try to explain the situation. Also, send them the transaction number or what is necessary for them to be able to process the cancellation.

Everything also depends on the wallet that you use. For example it is possible to add some fee in electrum. If you don't want to make this transaction then you can try to replace it with another transaction with a larger fee. Just re-send it to your own wallet with a bigger fee so the new transaction will net confirmations before the first one. I did not checked this method but it seems to be fine Smiley

Why do you people keep answering at a question I haven't asked?

I'm not asking how to make my transaction go through. I know how to do that, I have to upgrade the fees and electrum wallet does that pretty easily. That's not my problem, that would be a costly solution.

What I want is to DELETE a transaction that has yet not be confirmed. I sent money, noone confirmed, I no longer want the transaction to be done and that's cool because noone confirmed. But how do I say to the network "hey forget it, I no longer want you to take this tx into account"?

Damn for it to be confirmed we need to upgrade the fees because if we don't we're not gonna get prioritized by the miners. I mean it totally sucks because the fees they requure are so high which is even higher than are bitcoin which we are about to send because if we don't comply they will not confirmed your transaction and your money is just gonna get stucked in your wallet.
