Benefit of offering services in BTC: BTC owners highly-motivated to buy from you, as the competition space is small.

Disadvantage of offering services in BTC: customer space is small.

Except for mining (which is getting more and more specialized and risky) and investing on GLBSE are there other ways of earning btc? And I'm not talking about trading on silk road, only online stuff Smiley

You can do in-person trading.

You set the price.  Have the person meet you.

This is because even going to 7-11 and picking up the red phone is too much work / too complicated / too risky / etc.  and meeting up with the seller and doing a trade face-to-face is worth it to some newbies, and they are willing to pay a little extra.

Helps if your in a heavy populated city. The closer people are to you the better.

If you are concerned about the risks with mining, invest your BTC with pyramining and let someone else buy and maintain the hardware for you:

Take something you have, or a service you can offer, and sell it for BTC.

Whats the use of constantly repeating here what has been said?

Well, most posters here seem to reply to get rid of their newbie restrictions. That would be on reason.

The same way you earn USD. Take something you have, or a service you can offer, and sell it for BTC.

It depends what your skills are OP. What are you good at? If you have trading skills or are willing to learn you could consider buying and selling on the exchanges, or arbitraging between them.

Hey, mining is still legit  Huh,

Everyone has marketable skills, offer services in exchange for bitcoin e.g. computer building, coding (web or program based), design, a bitcoin mixer and charge a small fee once you're set up.

I'd happily pay a small business/individual with BTC  Smiley

Also if you have programming or web design skills you can likely earn BTC by doing some freelance work.

Start a good Bitcoin project. Create something useful for the community. Offer a useful (bitcoin) service, or a product. Use your imagination!
Or start a ponzi  Cool
