Help me.How to do good post and earn merit??
If you write an important post with a good description and attractive you don't need to ask that how to get a merit. The merit will come to you easily because who like your post they can give you merit if they want. And remember bro. merit is not minable things it's an honorable shine.

As a newbie, you have to learn a lot of basic knowledge of how to make an informative and decent post to reply. If you can do so your merits will come automatically there is no doubt. So just keep learning and keep posting informative and reliable post.

yes many topic we can find answers in google only but many of them create new topic here , may be it helps some newbies

It helps newbies and other ranks to learn to use the search option in order to easily find answer to the questions or inquiries that have, and this unclogs the various boards.

Of course it would help if other users simply pointed out the poster to the original post where that topic has been discussed, rather that bashing them.

well, let it look damn suspecious to you all you want, it's none of my damn business, I've gave you guys a good reason why I merited the op, it's my smerit, I give it to who ever pleases me, it could be you, it could be him(the op), it could be any body, if you feel the op does not deserve the merit I gave to him, then report to the authorities and tell them if I gave the op.my smerit or yours

PEACE... thank you

There is no suspicion at all and I think this isn't a matter of suspicion, the OP considers what you are doing is a miracle even though everyone sees this as a joke.

It's just that, at other times this miracle is still expected by other newbies who haven't got it until now. Of course, it is very worrying that other similar threads from more newbies, even "spambies", will appear. Shocked

If such merit begging posts get two merits out of no reason its a bad sign for all the newbies out there, especially for those struggling to rank up with good posts.

Furthermore, it looks damn suspecious to me ...

The meriter definitely could have his reasons as to why he merited the OP, I personally wouldn't merit that post, but that's my opinion, and I do not expect anyone to abide by it..
I do not really think it's that much suspicious as I've come across merits given for far worse and went unnoticed or without any query, most times for a one line comment(mostly of humor)
But it's always best to merit fairly good post,so others would haven't been merited despite coming up with one or two good ones, wouldn't feel the system is biased

Merits are meant to be giving to quality posts, and not posts that appeal to you. Meriting such 'merit begging' posts could be intended to encourage the user to engage more in the forum, but it could stimulate others to make similar kind of posts, trying to butter up merit awarders in a bid to get noticed.

The standards are not that high, and a quality posts does not have to come from an experienced individual, with basic knowledge you could string up words that could be vital and relevant.

How one awards merit is his own prerogative, although the general spirit is to do it for a decent enough post, and when that is clearly not met, it stands out as strange and a misleading example to others. Of course this is not a cult (well, perhaps a bit …), where by everyone abides by the same tune, but merit should be based on content and not pity in principle.

Beginners & Help board in my opinion gets by with a lower standard for receiving merits than on other boards, and if people really want to invest the time and effort needed in posting, a few merits should be no issue at all really.

That isn't the purpose of the merit system It is here to reward and encourage good posting, not to make people feel good by giving away undeserved merits. Promoting bad posters blocks the regrowth of the forum as a serious discussion platform. It's also the reason that I think sigs should only be allowed for members and above.

I concur on the fact that the 2 merits awarded today are completely undeserved, and therefore have a suspicious appeal, besides setting a bad example for others on the Beginners & Help board. Those merits will remain suspicious in my opinion, due to the content of the merited post, but likely no one will look further into the nature of the sender’s account on the day to day run (I saw the sender’s selling post you must have seen, but only after you mentioned it and I did some digging, meaning it is not easy to see first off).

Looking through the OPs posting history, you can tell that posts are not merit postulants, and that the OP even in the business of purchasing Facebook accounts, so not a great precedent to lift suspicion on this case...

hey, let me please clarify things here - there is nothing to be suspicious about here, I gave 2 merit to the op on the purpose of being nice to him after the many discrimination against his post here, we all have been there some time in the past(begining) so any reasonable and considerating person would understand, I didnt give him (the op) 2 merit based on whether his post deserve it or not, cus truly, it doesnt, I was just tryna be nice to him (the op), that's my way of showing him I understand his frustration, please don't use that against me or him

And secondly, there was a time I made that mistake of wanting to sell my account which I thank God I didn't - and till today, I still regret ever thinking of doing such a thing, it was my past mistake which I can never go back to, so please, don't judge me

This wasn't a very good topic to start, as it's been done so many times in the past. Your opening post wasn't particularly helpful either, and yet it has received 2 merits. The awarder is a senior member who is trying to sell his account, and this award may have made your account toxic, and reduced your ability to receive merits in the future. This is my feeling on the matter, I'd be interested to see if others agree.

Well, for me,  I think what you need to do is - like you said - make meanful posts, you don't have to be taught how to make meanful post- if you must be taught that, then I don't think you are matured enough to be here in the first place, I personally understand how important merit is most especially to newbies who will desperatly need it in order to be moved from a lower rank to a higher one so as to enable them participate in some bounty campaigns which sometimes requires  - from a Jr. Member rank and above, it's all simple, but requires you work hard and legitimately, don't post comments for the purpose of increasing your post counts and activity- this won't get you anywhere, only post comments when you have something meaning and helpful to share or contribute to the discussion or thread, and if you must start a thread of your own - make sure it something important, interesting (might be for fun or knowledge) - just make sure it's something one or two persons can learn a lesson or two from, and also make sure it's not something that has been highly discussed here - and lastly, always make sure your thread is created in the right category

thanks and Goodluck

The idea is that you make a good and original thread that can help the community with something and you get merits for that but I have seen lots of good posts with no merits and rubbish comments that got merits so you have to make a good post  and hope that you impress some of few merits sources

I'm ambivalent about this. Sometimes the answers one finds after searching are conflicting, and may even be incorrect - especially if they are being posted by a spambie who doesn't understand the topic. In this case, I think it is good to ask the question, rather than struggle on in confusion. On the other hand, the oft repeated questions such as " how to get merit?", or even " what is Bitcoin?" become tedious after the first hundred or so times they have been asked.

Probably the best solution is to use Google or the forum search as a start, and if you still are not sure of the answers, then ask the question. Having done the search first, you will be in a much better position to ask for a detailed answer.

i notice some of the high rank members here do not like when a beginner ask a question and that question is you can find an answer in google, they're just going to insult you. like "are you dumb? google it first don't ask stupid question" phrases like that you will going to encounter when you ask a silly question.    they could just have ignore it but instead they make the beginners hesitate to ask a question again. And yes I am a beginner and I already experience this once.
How would you feel if someone walked up to you every single day of every single year to ask you the same very question, will you keep replying calmly to the person, the same very question you already answered the day before..
That's basically what goes on in the forum most times, you actually shouldn't expect answers to topics that's been discussed numerous times, when you actually can simply use the search button, fish out such threads and get the desired knowledge you so desire
The more the reason for the backlash most noobs get, as its perceived as laziness on their path or unwillingness to learn the right way...

Here we are again. Do you really think that just by putting a topic about merits you will get one? It don't happen like this. You have to work on things you lack for example let's start by how you communicate. It matters alot. Also instead of posting same old things be a learner for now and read as many posts as you can. Even if you stay in the beginners and help corner, chances are you'll still learn a lot from it. So stop begging for it and start working for it.

I am also begunner, may you tell me please how to recieve the ,,MERIT,, i listened that now,you dont recieve junior meber without merit, and i need it very much, help me please

There is no definitive guide as far as I know. But it can be summarized as;
Make objectively quality content, that is equally relevant.
Don't post simply to gain attention, really have something to contribute.
Have basic knowledge of the forum
While grammar is not so important. You posts should be at least readable.
You could as well check if your local board is listed if you are not fluent in English.
Also, don't be too desperate to get merits.

You're a newbie so don't start posting thread about what should newbies do as it is discussed several times and I don't find it needed to be discussed again. Start doing what I stated and I'm sure you'll learn.

So better to know their rules regulation.
