Hello. I participate in translation bounty campaign, and now i get 2 projects where i get translation files in pdf format, maybe someoen can tell me how i can edit them or i need own pdf file modify on docs format??
If you want it in free of cost you can search for free pdf editior. which convert your file into editable form. like microsoft office.
i do it a lot. no need for spending money on paid products if your work is being done by free tools. i also suggest you to try them for free.

Online tools are the easiest one but there are lot of other ways are there and best one is adobe reader which is most recommended and trusted but not every cares about the quality drops since most of them are going to convert the text files.

No, Adobe Reader is just for reading, viewing, filling out forms, printing, etc. Adobe Acrobat lets you edit and create new PDFs.
People often confuse the two. Adobe Reader is free software, while Adobe Acrobat is not.

I usually use online tools for simple operations. There are special websites which provide such possibilities. Quite comfortable and saves time.
Best if you did share those tools because that is what the question all about , though this is already a 3 year old thread yet it is always beneficial to update for the newbies that started exploring bitcointalk and trying to make some bucks out of this forum.
Just searching on google like pdf to text or whatever format we want then we can get thousands of online topls which doesn't even need to be downloaded, we can simply upload the file and get the work done.

A PDF to text converter is not always the best solution because most of the formatting from the PDF document will be lost, and the result will not be identical to the original. If you want to make changes to a PDF document with quality, you will need specialized software such as the Adobe Acrobat Professional or similar application.

It used to be possible to use simple built-in tools. Now I have another problem. I want to draw pixels on PDF files randomly. I use PDFsharp to create a PDF file. But I didn't get the option to draw pixels in PDFsharp. Is there any way to draw a pixel on a PDF file using PDFsharp? I know there is a guide and programs, but maybe there is a simple easier way, I'm too lazy to read all the information. Just write me step by step what to do. My friend says to add a bitmap

I'm not familiar with PDFsharp. Google says it is "an Open Source library for creating PDF documents from any .NET language".
Is that what you're trying to do? Create PDF documents programmatically?

Anyhow, when I want to add anything to the PDF document, I usually open it in a graphics program like Adobe Illustrator.

It depends how much you want to edit, for just adding things I would recommend getting Adope Acrobat Reader Pro. It cost a little money but they over a lot of tools. If you only need to edit one document and this won't reoccurring then there are also free alternatives. But if you are going to do it a lot in the future, just go for the pro version.

To edit a pdf file you need to do next:
1) Open a file in Acrobat DC
2) Click on the “Edit PDF” tool in the right pane
3) Use Acrobat editing tools: Add new text, edit text, or update fonts using selections from the Format list
4) Save your edited PDF: Name your file and click the “Save” button
Plus, if you have an Acrobat Pro DC subscription, you can edit PDFs on Android and iOS from anywhere, on any device using the Acrobat Reader mobile app.

I'm using this one https://www.pdftoword.com/. I don't know if this thing still works but if it doesn't I'll start in right-clicking the PDF file and then open with Microsoft word. That's easy how it is. Goodluck, I hope you can manage to do that.

There is a program called EditorPdf, you can search it on the web and download it, there you can edit the pdf and choose the same type of letter they have in the document, although there are other programs that you can search on YouTube, which is where I took the program that I put you.

if you want to do it offline, jus follow these steps

  • Open a file in Acrobat.
  • Click on the Edit PDF tool in the right pane.
  • Click the text or image you wish to edit. Acrobat shows you the tools you’ll need.
  • Add or edit text on the page. Lines and paragraphs reflow automatically, or you can click and drag to resize elements.
  • Add, replace, move, or resize images on the page using selections from the Objects list.
  • Click on the Link, Headers and Footers, Watermark, or Background tool to edit your PDF further.

but if u want to do it online, u can try https://www.pdfescape.com/

I use adobe Acrobat Pro for years and it works very good. I usually make pdfs from word documents and with Acrobat you can edit the pdf files directly, no need to convert anything. You also get the Adobe virtual printer that's very useful. I really don't think that you need anything else, after all they invented the pdf.

Editing PDFs is always painful. The formatting sucks, replacing images is almost impossible without destroying the format, ...
I would recommend you to transform your PDF into a Word document, edit it there and save the Word file as PDF. I am sure you are way faster and its wqy more frictionless ...

I would probably also suggest this method if you don't have the full version of the Adobe Acrobat. With the Acrobat it's okay to edit text and images - you are able to edit almost everything it just takes time.

Few month ago i tried a few programs for editing pdf, some free, some with a free trial, they were all working almost ok in all cases but they were never comparable with the editor provided by Adobe, the work it's just faster and more convinient, so i just bought an annual licence of acrobat pro dc, which allow editing of the text in the images as well.

You can also try with word and then export to pdf, but takes a lot of time to reconstruct the template, not woth imo, but in the end depend what kind of result you want to get and how much time you want to spend to get it.

Good luck.

You can install latex on Ubuntu to convert pdf to text or other formats.
Then you can edit that and convert it back to pdf.

I am certain there are programs that edit pdfs for Windows as well.
