If you want to transfer your altcoin to myetherwallet just go to exchange sites then convert your altcoins to ether or bitcoin then you can transfer it to myetherwaller or warp wallet. Your coins will be transferred to your wallet. You have to input your wallet address correctly or else your ether/bitcoin will be lost.

Another question: what if I sent my Lumens to My Ether Wallet, where would the coin go? (FYI I did not do this, just wondering)

 Cheesy

It's either the coins will not be sent, or if it does send, then you pretty much threw away your coins as you sent it to an address that you have no access to.

To hold your lumens you'd be better off using either the nano s (it supports just about any worthy altcoin) or the foxlet wallet.

How about your opinions on Lumens...

Is Lumens even worth it to hold onto?

Is Lumens even a currency or is it a token?

Should I just convert my Lumen holdings into BTC?

I could be wrong because I'm not all that familiar with it, but it's a cryptocurrency. Lumens to Stellar is essentially like Ether is to Ethereum. Stellar is the network itself and it uses Lumens to run.

I personally would rather hold BTC because it's much safer long-term, but that's just me.

Interesting. So according to that list of wallets that accept Lumens, what I have (My Ether Wallet) is not going to work.
Yes... Because MEW is an Ethereum wallet (which has nothing to do with Lumens).

I don't think that's possible. Those are two different altcoins. ETH =/= Lumens.

No.

Here is a list of wallets that support Stellar (XML): https://www.stellar.org/lumens/wallets/

So here is the deal: I have XLM/BTC and XLM/ETH sitting at an exchange and I want to move that to my cold wallet.  The two wallets I have set up are: My Ether Wallet (for ether), and Warp Wallet (for bitcoin).
Do either of those wallets accept XLM (Stellar Lumens)?

Huh
