hello everyone
my question is how to find a promising project? how to check the project is scam or real? if u have experience  can u share this experience in here
thanks

the best promising project is bitcoin! the other are just copy/paste with some modifications.

Finding a coins with same impact is practically impossible.
I made an analysis some time ago here
https://www.publish0x.com/bitbollo-cryptocurrencies-blog/a-depth-analysis-of-bitcointalkorg-speculation-thread-the-ne-xpnnjwq
taking in account 1000 predictions made in https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/the-next-100x-1000x-coin-2106360 this topic "The next 100x-1000x coin?" .
What was the result? Easy!

56% of coins suggested had a negative results.... from this number only 1% had a moderate loss.
11% of coins are literally dead.
13% of coins have a positive results but no one coin has realized a x100.

So yes there are promising project but isn't easy to identify, and in some cases the same coin suggested in a different timeframe has earned a negative return... or just a moderate return.
Mine suggestion? Knowledge! Is the only "coin" you need in this life Wink

If I'm going to be honest with you, it's a pretty difficult task, there are quite a lot of projects today, with many more still coming out, thus choosing/selecting the one that may be profitable is more or less based on luck, and very risky, personally I don't invest in new projects or altcoins for that matter, I think ethereum isn't a bad choice at all, it has gotten to the stage were it can be said to be a long term project, as a result it's a good investment. Having said that, If you manage to get any 'promising' project, do not invest more than you can afford to lose, and mind you that you should take profits when it accrues, cause most of this new projects are pump and dump coin, and they can dump at any time.

It is not as easy as we think when going to choose a coin or token from a new project. Additionally, I am wondering why should be interested in a new project. None is promising of they are new projects. every project team will always say that their project is very promising. But in fact, most of them are only shit.,
Only by doing deep research and analysis will make you sure about a project, including its clear roadmap that has been being conducted. Trusted and professional team moreover with their exact reputable track record with the successful project previously. Some real use cases and utilities, deal with the new development of the crypto industry.
And of course, doing some IEO/launchpad, and other listings in the middle or top exchanges with very good liquidity and market cap.
But, will it be easy to find this kind of project?
of course, no.
Will that kind of project be really succesful?
of course not.
It is still likely gambling in which it is still debatable and also 50:50 to be exactly promising.

The developers past history also bring a lot to mind because nowadays there are projects whose developers remained in businesses or in projects which got success in the past and they satisfied their users. If someone do not know much better about the future of a project then they need to follow the project which is started by a successful business or project.
Having experienced developers is a plus to know that the project have a future and that it is capable of handling the issues and activities of the project. It is needed to have a experience to determine how they can probably work on the project. Though when it comes in new projects that is not backed by know companies or personalities I prefer to buy them once they already have new development, been done with ICO projects before that just disappear after buying. Good thing now we can buy in a much secure trading sites than before.
I will also add one more thing. As we invest in the project so that in the future the price increase and we get the profit so we have to ensure that the developers give a solid promise or proof that after the ICO they will list on a good exchange. Because in the past I participated in some project which were started by good running companies but after the ICO they still not listed on exchanges. I have the coins of some of these type of exchanges but they are worthless in my wallet.

That is why people ask for the team to doxx themselves in projects. The fact that if they scam you, at least you have their name and so forth matters, but at the same time it is not just for to make sure you won't be scammed, you could still be scammed and not be able to do anything about it. The main and biggest reason is that you could literally see them doing work before they started this one, and that matters.

If a person who is in charge or a project worked on another project for years, then it makes sense of him to start another project and that is a great deal, if that person is anonymous then how would we know if they did anything similar before? So, knowing who is in-charge of a project matters a lot when it comes to crypto, it allows you to know if you should trust them or not and without trust then there is nothing in crypto left to invest.

hello everyone
my question is how to find a promising project?
I have some suggestions for this

1. Avoid to deal with unpopular project, the popular project will always come from legit project. The community will always try to invest into the legit project and you can see this and this makes you more easy to discover the legit project and avoid the scam project.
2. You can know that track record from the team. This will help you to avoid the scam project.
3. These days so many scammers are using rugpull method. To avoid this and never try to invest in the meme tokens or project with non audited code.

how to check the project is scam or real? if u have experience  can u share this experience in here
thanks
Try to do what i have been writting above and i hope that that will help you to avoid the scamm project and that will also make you feel easy to find a good project. If you are doing do your own research and you must make sure that you have been doing it with all of components in the project.

Now that we are heading into bear cycle it's best to start looking into IDO and IEO i believe this is the only way to make 2x using this method than trading or other ways of making money in crypto space, as the bear season gets dipper you can use the profits to buy bigger altcoins like polkadot and solana

You can do your own research but I personally get good opinions from users and investors here. Most reviews about trusted projects and suggestions here are reliable. Before investing, you can also check the reputation of the project's developer so you would have an idea if it would be handled well in a long run.
*team support
*legitimacy of the project
*use-case

These are the things I use to check as we know how tricky is the market and even are to care about doing research sometimes we've got wrong and fall into them. So investing doesn't need to be rushed, it should be in time and been in thorough research, or else, we just waste our money and time on shit projects.

At this time it is easy for us to detect a good project or not, at least it is not a scam project, and I think the best way is for us to invest in IEOs in several markets such as Pancake, Gate.io and so on.

hello everyone
my question is how to find a promising project?
Try to check whether such a project has been backed by venture capital or not. I think that when the project is backed by so many parties it can be said that if the project has massive support by so many parties and it means this project has been running by trusted developers. This will make you spend a short time to analyze whether it's a scam project or not. Im sure that venture capital like binance labs will never try to invest in scam project.

You can use the suggestion that i have written above and that may give you a small insight about how to pick the trusted project safely. So many scam projects are exist in the market these days and that's why you must be careful with any project. Try to learn the project before try to invest on it. DYOR is a must for everyone.

Third you have to gain your own experience in every detail and learn from your own mistake.

Sometimes we don't need our own experience to know what to do especially with the kind of enquiry that op is asking. If you learn from other people's mistake then nothing is wrong with that. In terms of buying coin, there is nothing special learning from others and avoiding mistakes but truth be heard that it is not easy not making personal mistake as it is part of the business of investment. To reduce such mistake is when you don't become foolish to invest in obvious scam project. Get to their telegram group and spend some time reading reviews it helps.
yep, that's not wrong but do you know about "dumb money" or what ever you want to call it. Some people just doesn't want to understand, their own assumtion is they are right until they're making personal mistake but if they can't accept it, they'll just quit. My point is I don't want to tell them what to do or become a bullshit seller in people's mind who takes advantage of people.

Look at this bitcoin dump today. I think a lot of new people have just quit when they see they are lost now. Panic, losing hope or whatever the reason, maybe they just can't accept what they've done and some learn from their own mistake. Reduce some mistake? it's their own choice their own freedom, which way they want to listen and choose.

Quote
“Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.”

In the end it's doesn't matter who is right and who is wrong. what matter is how you deal with it

You must have lots of friends in this forum or telegram group and see new projects on social media.
After that look at the project and how they run the project according to the roadmap, once it's done, look at MC, there you can buy altcoins at low prices when the market cap is under $100k usd, but still do your research before investing, recently I found a L1 blockchain project like Berylbit, the team is still developing the blockchain and you can see it here

There is no platforms that will tell you that a project is promising, even coinmarketcap and coingecko only lead people to the right links for coins and tokens and shows full information about every coins and tokens, do your own research and take your risks, you are on your own
I believe that concept that stipulates that we have no professional platform that can indicates that a project is promoting or is not promising, it just come to my knowledge that some points are fallacy and people just frame some points to keep theyself update wrongly, it's your practical research analysis that will let you know when you have a potential coin it doesn't matter a particular building platform or site that will indicates the potential of coin.

I feel like if something looks too good to be true, but you can't find the problem, and NOBODY found the problem, then maybe it is actually very good? I know the saying "if it looks too good to be true, then usually it is" but people just look at good projects with great potential and then they just think it is impossible and move on.

Yes, there are thousands of projects that will fail, but at the same time the good ones will look good, something bad won't make you rich, even though there are many scams out there, the fact that the very good ones will stand out still holds. So, look for things that look great and nobody could find a proper reason for it to not be great.

You have to research everything even on little details because it could make lot of impact on your decision. Stuff like if they put effort on making website to look really promising, if the team has involved into another scam projects in the past, if the whitepaper is plagiarized, if the social media account is active, if the team on telegram is really active and so on. So many stuff to search, you have to do it anyways to ensure your best decision.

if you want to get a good project, my method might be to see the team in the project, for example, the bounty manager has less value or not, and also as long as the project is held in smooth distribution or not because all of that requires accuracy..and also what the future project concept looks like by looking at the grub that we can access..

my question is how to find a promising project?
It's not easy. You need to did various research started from analizing the team, roadmap, hype, code, and many more. These things can be done when you can spend a lot of time to dig the project.

how to check the project is scam or real?
Try to dig it and do your own research. If the team was not revealing their identity and it has more than 80% chance to be another scam project and this must become the main concern to analyze or discover the scam project and avoid to invest on it.

if u have experience  can u share this experience in here

I have shared that but you must focus on the team. If you are not so pro in programming language and then you can ask someone who expert on this to audit the code.

promising projects that could bring more and more benefits and return of investment in the long term could be determined by many things but surely these couldn't give 100% guarantee that the project itself could succeed in the future.
There are many things that should be considered and some of the most crucial are their partnership with the big venture capital and the famous exchange that should boost their fame because a fundamentally good projects isn’t enough to make them a good long term investment. Just see the meme coins although most of them are lacking in fundamentals they could increase their market capitalization really fast because they’re just famous and following the current trend that could helps them build their standing despite really lacking in terms of fundamentals. You can try to use marketcap coin like cmc to find that and when you wanna try to get a new project and you can do to the icodrop. top 7 ico and cryptorank were good enough

I don't think I have heard of any platform that will tell if a coin/token is not scam or it is scam, even coinMarketCap will only provide you with information. I think it simply about making your research and considering some factors like; the idea behind the creation of the coin/token if it is feasible the developer, those partnering with the coin/token and many other things. And I tell you you will not fall into scam project.

Moreover, as we have bitcoin already, I guess you never need to go beyond that for your hard earned money. You can easily make good returns with bitcoin investments for sure. Currently bitcoin is trading at bottom price levels hence buying now it definitely help you to realize your dreams financially.

if you're looking for a real project mate then i suggest visit coinmarketcap or CoinGecko because these two is very legitimate to be honest wherein very informative when it comes listing a project and they don't accept any offer and excuses from a new projects unless if they can cope the requirements for the listing.. They're trusted sites mate when it comes crypto so if you want to prevent scam project go directly on that sites, instead of searching anywhere else..

I do not think you can find it easily but all new and old projects are promising projects but with terms and conditions.
You can say the project has a good future but the other people can not have the same opinion as you as they will use the other things to search for more info about the project.
It will be the same thing for the scam project as we do not know which project can become a scam because it will need time before we know the truth.
If there are no more clues about the project, especially they do not have good progress to running the project, that will be the time for you to suspicious and maybe you can leave it before the project scam you.

Website of a project holds alot of information, read through those and you can easily identity the fakes. First they will have fake information on their team. There is nothing bad if you intend been an anonymous project but do not lie with fake details as that is a very red flag. Be anonymous and stay that way then wait for believers to invest. Next is the Whitepaper, if you intend investing in a project do well to read about their ideology and what they intend achieving.

You should also review their roadmap and consider how achievable they are  many scams input spicy and juicy things to attract speculators meanwhile there is no plan in place to achieve all they have stated on their road map. Project that are genuine are usually more on developed then marketing bit the scams focus on marketing without any product.

Do in-depth and thorough research on the project you want to participate in, understand everything well and don't be lazy to read until the end because reading sometimes makes us lazy so that mistakes that occur without realizing it are on ourselves.
I recommend reading the whitepaper of your chosen project, the whitepaper provides a more in-depth description of the purpose, benefits and technology of cryptocurrencies. After reading the white paper of a project or two, you should not only find your next investment, but also have a better understanding of the underlying technology they use.

One of the best and easiest methods is checking its backers. Who are they? How many famous funds supported the project? And how to check this info if it is just presented on the project website? Many projects are lying about their backers, so you should count this in.

You have to look for that "promising" project you are talking about. Learn about existing and new projects. See if they have anything new to provide to you. Read about them and you will know if they are a "promising" project or not. But don't get fooled by just reading the whitepaper or articles. See if they are actively developing or not. There are projects that say they will do all the shit, but once they start, they stop developing because what they wanted to achieve was impossible for them. The project eventually dies. Projects that are based on current trend and hypes are most likely scam. So don't invest in those.

Some scam projects can be identified easily but some are not. That is why we need to have time searching before we invest.

Everyone here had different experiences in regards to scams and all of them had suffered losses.

So, if you are about to invest in crypto, better to check their review first. Don't get tempted by those who offer you big rewards, doubling your money that was a big lie and that was a big scam.

Almost all projects do have a promising development. The question is, will they able to keep their promise and follow properly the roadmap on the way? It's hard to determine if the project will be a scam if the developers are active on the way, of course, unless the projects show the common and usual behaviour that they are scams from the start.

I will assume you are an internet guy for a long now so I guess you already know how to spot obvious traits where you can call a project a scam. Now on the part of how to choose legit ones, you really need to enhance your DYOR.

To conduct such a study, it is necessary to have a lot of knowledge, so it is almost impossible to conduct such a test alone. But there are several proven ways that will allow you to abandon investing already at an early stage of research. These include the absence of a team, unsupported social networks of the project, as well as the absence of a website.

It's a thing, there's no 100% sure thing, all projects are promising! So people who pursue new projects as their primary investment objective risk a lot! Of course, that risk can bring insane profit, like x50k, but it's still a huge risk!
There are many new projects, and most of them are shit... how to recognize the real and promising one is a million-dollar answer! We all have some criteriums, we try to find all available info around, ask others here on the forum by creating a new topic... but in the end, there are no guarantees with investing in new projects, the risk is always there, it can make you rich or eat your money!

Fundamentals and the team. If you check the team and know who they are and where they worked before, and see what they are trying to achieve, then you may actually profit. I did this with Avax the last time, it has been probably over a year now, or December of 2020 I think, not entirely sure about the exact date but it was something like that. You can guess how much profit I made from that investment, it is really not a bad one at all.

It is definitely not the greatest ever neither, but by simply looking at the founders who are really known and great people, and looking at what they are trying to developer, I managed to see how serious they were and not a joke. Let other people invest into things like Shiba that makes no sense, they could make money with it, but in 10 years time Avax will buy me a house whereas shiba will be nowhere to be found at all.

Isn't this asked before?. The obvious answer is that you have to do a lot of research which is the first step of finding a good project that is worth investing. In buying coins or altcoins is that you don't have to choose the ones that you are not familiar with, the trick is you should just buy the coins that are trending or widely used already. For new ones, it is much riskier but there is also a chance that you'll gain profit or loss profit.

I would say that you need to study the fundamentals but newcomers often have this weird sense about new projects and they can be way more with lucky with new microcaps then seasoned serious investors with huge marketcaps. High risk high reward, there are no shortcuts.

Get to their telegram group and spend some time reading reviews it helps.

hello everyone
my question is how to find a promising project? how to check the project is scam or real? if u have experience  can u share this experience in here
thanks

The promising ones are those projects who has strong foundation, crowdfund are a success, with development teams who have the will and passion. They will answer you transparently. Another is if they have already made an Alpha of the product, and gives you constant updates about what they are doing at the moment, not leaving investors hanging in the air and waiting for unanswered questions. There are lots of factors and if you have doubts about the project, follow your intuitions.

If you are talking about new projects then there are no promising projects at all. It's quite impossible to identify promising and legit projects. There is no guarantee no one will skip with the funds. All projects are just about trading on the exchange, with no real development. If you are asking about existing projects then you may follow their activities and development progress. Those who are doing what they committed during the token sale, mean they are legit. But before investing think twice, whether a new project or an existing one.

Just don't overcomplicate your research, OP. Check each dev's LinkedIn profile and also their Github repos. If the project repo doesn't seem to have a lot of activity nor update, I would call that a red flag as a poor maintenance or debugging of whatever project is being developed.
Either way it is still going to depend if those people would really make your money worth or just do an exit scam. These tips are just minimizing the risk of losing your money, but not entirely eliminating it.

There are reasons why BTC ETH NEO, XRP became the most ranking coins in crypto space I suggest you should look into that first and find your new BTC ETH and others in new altcoins

I guess there is no secret here, you really need to do a lot of work in yours side to determine which one is promising and which one is scam.

For scam it is hard to determine in the beginning, but you can check the people behind, if you have real names or just anonymous. Chances are those hiding their real life identify are most likely to do a rug pull in my experience.

Do research mate, look into projects utilities, partnerships and the team past works, better if they are blockchain experts from scratch, all in all invest only what you can afford to lose

Easiest way maybe, seeing how people react about the project. Usually new project is posted in this forum and usually who already in long time of crypto warn others if the project look suspicious. About promising, almost all project looks promising because they can write anything without limit and hide behind disclaimer.

One thing I can say about cryptocurrency is that the sooner you do, the better.  Private investors benefit the most from new projects in cryptocurrency because they can buy tokens at the lowest prices of all.  But every day hundreds of fake projects are coming into the market which runs away with the money of the investors.  So before investing in a new project, it is important to verify it well.  I will mention some of the points which, if verified, can easily distinguish good projects from scam projects.

1. The most important part of a project is the project team.  The first thing to look for in a new project is who the team members are and their past information such as what they have done, what their success is, whether there are any previous fraud allegations against them.  An experienced team can make a project a success.

2. Is this project solving any current problem?  And what distinguishes this project from other projects.

3. A serious project must inform its community through social media for project development or any change.  Check how active they are through social media.

4. What kind of utility are they offering for their tokens?  And whether the token's utility and circulation supply are up to date.

A promising project must have these qualities.

There is no platforms that will tell you that a project is promising, even coinmarketcap and coingecko only lead people to the right links for coins and tokens and shows full information about every coins and tokens, do your own research and take your risks, you are on your own

I just wanna add more.
If you want normal answer, you can get the tips from others.

At first your question is hard if you want something that must be come true. Everything has risk to be able to get a reward.
Second if you want low risk, why you can't stay on highcap cryptocurrency just like bitcoin, ethereum, BNB, solana and others? then hold and forget
Third you have to gain your own experience in every detail and learn from your own mistake. it's all just an opinion and suggestions about " HOW ".

In the end no one is wrong until the future makes them wrong

The best thing you can do is to do research when you're about to invest into a project. Yourself is going to be your own asset in finding out if a project is legit or not.
Having a research will keep you safe from those possible scam projects. Always check the people behind the project, the devs. It takes time and you need to allocate your time for making your research but it's worth it when you're done with it.

You need to do a lot of research. And decide what points you are looking for in project. For me it is mainly real and known team with experience in real business, useful partnerships (1 useful partnership > 100 logos on website). I am also very keen on passive income as it give a stronger incentive to hold the token - but inflation is one thing to watch out for - so profit share passive income is better than some project giving out 100s or new tokens each day...

My top 3 Altcoins in my portfolio for 2022 right now are:

$UBT & http://Baseledger.net
Baseline Protocol is set to go mainstream in 2022, their mainnet launches this quarter along with staking and Nodes, also new exchange rumours and so on. Consensys and SAP amongst others are involved. A lot of info will drop before end of Jan about launch etc. Founding council members can be seen on Baseledger.Foundation and more will be joining.
NOTE: the staking rewards are a revenue share from network fees - non inflationary and all 150m tokens are in circulation already!

$BLXM http://Bloxmove.com
Reinventing mobility, links to Daimler (think mercedes). Also has an LP mining programme, and single asset staking in Feb. Very strong team backing it and small mcap.

$MOVE http://viaMover.com
Supercharged DeFi Savings 100%+ APY + crypto debit card. Tiny market cap and rumours of big partnership with OlympusDao on the way. Strong pair of founders and a growing team and ecosystem. NFTs, web wallet, mobile wallet and so on. Fiat on and off ramps via IBAN.

DYOR and good luck!
