You can check LinkedIn or post an advertisement or an announcement on the Services board in this forum to find people but you have to be careful because you might catch incompetent or unqualified people to work with you for your project, you also have to have a lot of funds to pay the people that is going to be in your team.

Hello,

my question is basically, how to find a team for a project if an idea is already there and a concept written.
Maybe here is someone who has the experience and already a running project and have some tips how to find a good team and start the project.

Thanks in advance for your responses and tips.

Are you planning to put a new project here? if yes, it is much better to build a team that are closed to you and has a knowledge about here in this filed of business in cryptocurrency. Like knowledge in programming, Look for web developer, Marketing something like that. But if you don't have any of these you still have an options to look in the service section, or project development. Good luck Smiley

If the team has already worked in a project and a project is succesfuly completed then that team can be hired.Involve a new team in any project might be risky. So always try to find experienced team. You can contact them through their socail media links of previous projects.

When it comes to money, it is best to build a network and create trust in your own environment. If you start looking for online partners or developers, you never know whether you can trust the person and in the worst case, the person will run off with your money or crypto. So watch out and stay safe. Smiley
I agree, having a network helps you connect with the right people and there is already an established trust so you don't have to worry and the payment for them are a bit cheaper than hiring strangers online because you have some sort of connection with them that compels them to help you in any way as long as you do the same. And you also work better as a team.

But unfortunately he doesn't have any network that can possibly connect them to those good developers so the only option he have is to scan and verify the people he want to hire but expect that those good developers will ask good amount since if he choose cheap ones will the consequences of what you think might possibly happen and all will be on mess.

Considering that we are currently experiencing pandemic. Work are force to become work from home setup and startup team is not exempted to that. There is videocall app such as zoom that let team members interact live and they can know each other through that method since its face to face interaction.

That's true. We use is too for our work. But i know the people i work with and trust them. Recruiting people on the internet is always tricky. So what out with this.

The more partners you have, the more complications you have. Make partners only if you do not have their skillset or facilities. Hire a team member, never partner him/her.

OP didn't provide any hint or information regarding the idea. Even if you're to get any meaningful tip from the community here, it wouldn't be enough because i believe that different ideas will require a different set of team. So more light on your idea OP.

However you can put up a clear specifications of all your requirements in form of a job opening, from the received applications you can read through there experiences, pick and interview the ones that meets your requirements...

Better still if it's an idea you have a personal working experience on, then looking to your former partners and you know rubbing minds with them on getting the picture of a team requirement to implement such an idea.

Better still go through the Service Board on this forum, perhaps things there might interest you.

I saw many people here on the forum, who tried to find some people for their team, but I think it`s impossible to find the right people here such way how they acted. You definitely should tell about your idea and necessary skills, because many people just try to find qualified workers even when there is no any ideas.

Also I recommend try telegram chats and linkedin, maybe twitter. I think people will come to you, if you pitch your idea in the right way

I had little experience in starting my project. I can say that first of all you need to find a good programmer who could develop a website for you and all the processes in it. In my case, it was an acquaintance of mine and I had an agreement with him on the distribution of profits from the project 50% to 50%. In general, this is one of the important considerations. The problem of finding promotion professionals comes to the background. In my case, I relied on a prepared audience that was already ready to participate, for you you need to find, for example, promotion managers and order a service from them to promote your project. Again, to be successful you need someone who can create ad content. Typically, this is also the job of promotion managers. If you find professionals, the chances of your project being successful are high. Wish you luck!

There is no way to know if a person claiming to be a blockchain experts really have what it takes until he or she fumbled later on, it's very hard to gather experts for a project development now days, the easiest way to go about this is to do your own research on any person that you want to hire as part of your team, make sure they have histories with different crypto projects before and find out the truth too

Personally I prefer for serious projects it's better to find people in real life (to be able to meet them). Also it depends on where you live cause in small countries/cities it's pretty easy. You may find websites of developers, call them, offer them your proposal and etc.
Also you can use HR websites and ask candidates to send CV where you'll choose the one you like from sent works/projects, introduce them your idea in overall and offer payment (I know that's hard but usually without guaranteed fixed payment, no one is going to follow offered proposal).

That's true and I agree, so he can size up the capability of the potential team member, or they should do meet up and conferences, team members should prove that they deserve to be in the team not only by showing their resume but by giving them a sample of their works, so investors can assure that the project that they are investing is here for a long term.

Correct since if he only ask for resume then most provably he will get a lousy team members and the most effective way is to hunt them on those conferences although those guys are expensive but the OP can assure that they are effective since they have experiences on technical fields. And for sure investors would love to see those experts and it could bring a good impact to the project.

Congratulations to you for your new venture, be sure to continue persevering in your effort to create something that can influence the world positively, even if at times some may not fully grasp the vision. To help you, I believe that LinkedIn is a great resource, there are experienced members on the platform of Angel.co, and as of recent, I've realized that there are also potential candidates that can be found here, on BitcoinTalk.

Good luck.

-Jan
I'd personally pick candidates off angel.co over bitcointalk, any day of the week. I'd recommend OP to look into working with a recruitment agency, if you want exclusive and well-tailored candiates, but they do cost quite a lot, I believe.

Make sure you verify experience, use an escrow or pay after the job, and work with people that share your vision. Good luck in getting your project up and running mate Smiley

If you know your requirement and what you really want to achieve, after application, head over to their LinkedIn profile in conjunction with github if your project is software based to see what they have contributed or deployed previously.

If your project is either web based or app based, search for expert and top developers on platforms like clutch or ITfirm. But for that you need good budget to develop your project.

If later is the case then simply check upwork like platforms and search freelancers and made your own team.

Main fact is, for what you are looking for and what kind of project are you going to launch. Most likely you are alone and you have a concept or idea and you need some people who will work for you. But it would be very difficult for you to manage everything, since you are alone on real life. You should have a real team on real life who would support you. Then you might hire someone from marketplace to do your work like web design/development and so on. Hire full team isn't wise decision and likely you will face problems in near future.

If really you don't have team real life or if you are unable to manage, then try to find IT firms (web developers team) from your country and they would help you to build everything for you. Hiring all team member from different countries over internet would make you trouble. So better to seek for a real team.

Building a team should take time, you should know each one of your team members, not because they have a good resume in Linked, which can be faked anytime and some of these people are just faking their resume.

It's much better that you get a team from your location so you can interact personally, so you'll know how capable and committed he is in your project, talking them in a chat room and speaking to them personally are two different things.

In my opinion you should present your idea to you school colleagues if you have done college. If not there are always business events where you can meet people who are ready to start new project if you explain to them why it will succeed.

It really depends on the type of developers yo need... will you be paying them periodically?, you want volunteer, or you want people to work together and share both good and bad days???

you could post it all here on a thread of it own.. post the whole idea and the type of people you need.

team can be built, if you have bucks, as stated above. Too many ideas nowadays, to be a dreamer and work for future dividends.

show me at least one exchange that is good and could be trusted by traders! there are none. all we have is poor security shady exchanges that get hacked every day in best case scenario, worst case is they scam us themselves.

my point is, just because we have a million exchanges it doesn't mean we don't need them anymore. as long as the idea is new that solves the already existing issues i would be interested in using it.

Depending on the funds you hold, you definetely can find people both here or Linkedin/Facebook etc. Another question is about their trustworthness. Better to launch and run business with staff you know.

You can look at the service board and research on the individual that shows interest after your publication for team members. Don't be deceived about the Linked profile as some scammer can perfect this. Instead, engage on one-one chat with interested members and you should able to decide if they can defend their profile information since the idea and concept is already there and you know exactly what you are looking for

I'm going to do some research now on LinkedIN and the forum. In addition, the idea is a service for other companies in the crypto space. The target is to make the crypto space a little safer for new people.

I understand that a project team must be a group of people willing to work for the long term. how are you going to deal with the different nationalities and the fact that you do not personally know these internet people that you will be hiring? How will you know that these people on the internet are not scammers or people with a dark past? and there is the question of the time zone vs the work schedule that you will give them. many projects fall because they have a team made just like you are trying to do. find people from your country to be members of your team

if it is some sort of development project where the employees have to for example code something and deliver then the time zones is not an issue. if it is for running the service such as being the tech support then again having different time zones is a benefit.
as for trust, that is not something the employer worries about, it is instead what the employees have to worry about because they are the ones that have to be paid!

Unfortunately this is true, even if you have a world talent in your team if you aren't organized properly your project will just turn to dust. I have seen a lot of projects here in the forum failed because of the lack of communication to one another some even got a red tag from delayed payments, hiring a plagiarizer for their whitepaper, and even posting the wrong picture for their team member which would be a bad start for your project. So honestly speaking if you want your project to work you must work with someones preferably who is near you and has the same available time as the rest of your team. Being an organized group is the key here if you want your project to run smoothly.
Communication is one of the most important factor for a project to be a well-organized one and i have also seen these kind of scenario.
It is some sort of a hard situation but not impossible. This will matter on trust and good management. Before considering on finding team members
online its better or worthy of a shot on prioritizing first on finding nearby people which you can personally see.

My suggestion is you have to go first on your friends, friends of friends, and colleagues before you try and find them in the internet. Having a team member/partner that is close to you will make the progress much faster rather than having a team member who you just hired online. Communication is key to projects like this especially if you have a limited budget and having a friend vouch you a person seems to be a better choice rather than risking your whole project on hiring someone on a budget.

Firstly I am glad to answer this question.
A project is barely as successful as the people behind it. whereas leaders typically select people for project team merely supported their information measure or specialized data, this can be not essentially the simplest thanks to move it. There's a variety of specific skills leaders should seek, indicating who can add to the team and collaborate well with others.
It seems that the standard rules of business are being upended by today’s mega-trends of multisided platforms, big data, machine learning and AI, crowdsourcing, the web of things (IoT), and more.
Selecting members depends upon on your project for example if you are looking for blockchain developers team they need to have knowledge about data structure, programming language, etc.

Hello,

my question is basically, how to find a team for a project if an idea is already there and a concept written.
Maybe here is someone who has the experience and already a running project and have some tips how to find a good team and start the project.

Thanks in advance for your responses and tips.

Check out the service section there are a lot of developers in this section, you can find one according to your needs, you can also check Fiverr they have a lot of developers here also, I know some people who hire people from Fiverr and developers here.

But it's good if you can find a developer within your area, so you can do a one on one and he can easily do what he needs according to your concept.

In addition, the idea is a service for other companies in the crypto space.

then it may be a good idea to first contact some of these "companies" and see whether they are even interested in what you are planning to bring to them before starting to build anything.
who knows maybe that way you could save yourself a lot of time and money!

LinkedIn is a great place for you to look for a solid team, but you can also search on freelance sites like Freelancer, Upwork or Projects because here many job seekers are ready to work remotely (without face to face) & the skills they offer are very competitive.

Honestly you will have to build your team by using your own experience. If you have better plans to create a team for your project then you can search them on Linkedin first. On this platform you can choose your desired team member very easily but there is couple of fake profiles too. So its your own responsibility to choose right one from there. You can also find many experienced member from this forum too. For that you will have to visit different section of this forum to get enough information about them and their capability.

Creating a thread for collecting team members could be helpful for you. So you can proceed for this option too.

it really depends on the project itself. you didn't provide any information about it. my experience limits to open source projects that is based on collaboration and contribution of people for free. for that, it is initially hard to find a team but if the project is interesting you can easily find one.

if you are creating a service, a product, ... or anything that involves earning money from the project then you have to start a job interview kind of thing and actually "hire" people with real contracts that outline the legal responsibilities.

Just like any employer, you need to post your requirements, Linkedin is one.

However, I noticed that some projects, notice that each one really know each other personally. Either they work together before.

If I'm in your shoes, maybe you can reach out to your former colleague first before hiring someone you really don't know to do the job for you here in cryptosphere.

You will need to put out job postings on websites like LinkedIn, that way you can filter for candidates based on experience quite easily.

If you're looking for a collaborative project, where contributors are rewarded with stock, equity or something else, then you'll need to create a posting at an entrepreneur site.

However, you should know that ideas are basically worthless. It is the building process that counts. Literally everybody has ideas that could produce a profitable venture, very few of these actually pull the resources together to bring it to fruition.

Gathering useful human resources is a skill in and of itself.

If the project involves any sort of handling of BTC, it would be difficult to trust anyone without longstanding personal relationships or your own ability to review and push code.

The reasons for finding a team vary according to the tasks required of that team. For example, there are certain things about trust that you must have personal knowledge of team members before making any agreements.
Some tasks such as promotional, marketing, technical support need experience so I think you can find them by searching in the services section or Linkedin/Reddit.

You can go over linkedin, there are linkedin groups out there which members may be qualified to what you are looking for. You can look up for the Linkedin group which is named blockchain developers, they normally discuss stuff in there related to everything to blockchain. I use to go there too. to spam of course.

You can look for folks advertising in the Services board, or create your own topic in that board.  There are plenty of experienced project developers here, but be very careful because there are also plenty of scammers looking to take advantage of people.
