Hi guys. I wonder how to find and spot good coins and buy them at ICO, before they are going on a well known exchange like Binance? I know that there is a mass of new coins which are 99% shitcoins. But there were als coins which aint even shitcoins for example like DOT (ICO 0,29$), UNI (0,06$) or SOL (0,22$).

So how to spot these coins before they get popular or are listed on big exchanges and are purchaseable at decentrilised exchanges?

Who doesn't know these three coins, I know UNI because Airdrop and Solana are the same, I didn't know DOT at the beginning of its launch, but some new coins definitely do Airdrop and I usually look for new coins on twitter then do research on the website and many things other, luck is important, when you buy at a low price, you will definitely sell it after for 5x to 10x from the initial purchase price, but when the price continues to rise, then we need to learn with such situations.

It's not easy to get a coin that will be popular in the future, because there are many things that we have to study and research, starting from the work team whether they are solid or not, but for now I think it would be better if you try your luck on the BNB coin, bro.  Because right now this is a popular coin besides bitcoin and ethereum, bro, it's even been listed on the market exchange.
They are random if you don't do research.

But for someone who has idea about these good coins, you can spot them with how you're good at it. It doesn't matter how much you're going to make money from them.

If, you're early on them and gets in at a good price, you'll make a lot.

If we talk about the recent ICO it is found motly scam projects,So never be hurry to invst in ICOs or IDOs without any proper research.I think best way to invest in the new projects must search in leading Exchanges and when new project took place in lanunch pad then sortout worthy projects and invest accodingly. Also check the whitepaper,Team and the concept of the project.Community also matter must check social media handle of the project to find right analysis.
The new projects won't get easily listed in known/reputable exchanges, and it takes time until they are capable to do it. In fact, Shiba Inu never had, it takes months to get into Binance even the other coins.
That is a good suggestion to look them on the top exchanges as this could assure that those coins listed are good/promising projects. But if Op trying to risk looking for new projects, then he must check https://coinmarketcap.com/new/
To have our own research is very important and we actually know the background of this project as well.

I am afraid that no one could spot and invest into such coins alone. People who are regularly investing in all ICOs might be getting chances to cover these gems as well. Because, these days all devs are coming up with excellent whitepaper and roadmap still they do fail while delivering their promises. So, you cannot find good projects alone while they are in ICO phase; if you prefer not to miss good projects then you need to invest all good ICOs and then you will get chances to cover but this way if you invest in 100 ICOs then 2 to 5 coins will get you good ROI and all other will get you losses.

Well it's difficult to find a good coin that will become popular or become the top coins in the market, it depends to the project so you must do research the project first. Investing in ICO stage is very risky it can be fail if they can't reach their desired cap so better carefully research the project if you want invest a new coin and hold for a long time.
I think it's a mandatory thing that we should do before investing into a new project,
Indeed, doing research on the project does not guarantee that it will be 100% safe because after all, any investment will always have risks
Currently I have been following many ICOs, and very few have been promising projects, the last ICO I did is called Beyond Protocol and everything went well, in fact that project currently has a lot of future and is giving a lot to talk about, but how I determined it was Okay?
1.-I was on Bitcointalk.org
2.-A great Marketing campaign
3.-Its creator always responded in the messages in TG.
4.-It had a very successful pre-sale and public sale stage.

It was not scam because his project was very well structured and currently it is still maintained with a very good price.

I probably invested in more than 50 ICO IDO. Projects, helpless. Still lost a lot, hey. It's very difficult. I started buying bitcoins
Why didn't you buy Bitcoin in the past by not chasing that many ICOs and IDOs? even though if you made Bitcoin purchases in the past by ignoring all offers from ICOs and IDOs, then now you have become a very rich person.
Yes, I had more than 20 bitcoins before, but at that time, I was too young to have a superficial understanding of bitcoins, resulting in fewer and fewer bitcoins in my hand, and now I have a lot of rubbish in my hand.

a very difficult question, so one of the projects becomes popular or is listed on a major exchange, i.e. you have to know the development information of the coin/ico whether it fits the road map and really has a strong team, then when pumping hard they can survive or after they disappear when the project is in decline, if the project is of great interest to investors, they most likely go to a reputed exchange like Binance, then they will tell you on which exchange they will be listed.

It's mostly luck at such an early time point in a project's life. Nobody knows in advance whether a project will be such a huge success and makes a x1000 from the ICO. The best is to research upcoming ICOs on pages like those:
Then depending how much you want to invest pick ~5-10 different projects, invest and wait Wink
I think your answer to the OP's question is satisfactory but I'll like to add a suggestion, rather than picking 5-10 different projects he should make it at least 20 spreading his capital equally among them.
100x for anyone automatically gives a return of capital plus interest.

While in the ICO stage becomes the determinant of whether this will be a successful project or not. Presentation of the background and concept of future projects that make coins can give a good signal. but indeed a lot more leads to shitcoin and it is inevitable.

can't analyze a token at launch. because I know this is like gambling because we can only see based on the concept, we can't see the price in the future. I think the most needed thing is analysis before buying can be a signal in the future with our chosen project in the future.

investing in ICOs is dangerous and I don't recommend it, but if one wants to find good projects then the best thing one can do is to be active in the ANN section of altcoin and bounty and telegram channels related to altcoin and even some youtube channels though there are many youtube scam channels, but somehow they can be useful if the person knows how to filter information

We seem to live in a time when the Internet has answers to all questions, we sit on the forum about the block chain. Ico drops are a good resource for understanding what you can buy, I used to often use it, now I try to read here and there to forgive risks and read reviews about projects.

Go join their social media groups/pages. Read and understand their whitepaper (this is one of the most important I believe). I'm not an expert on this, I have just joined on people I know that are good on investing into good projects. Look also to their sponsors/partnerships, verify if it is legitimate. I prefer those projects that has the information, social media accounts, and photo of the developers. I think there is some posts on this forum about how to research about the a blockchain project.

One way to find potential new coins is to follow the new coins that  hold crowdfunding/IEO/TGE on popular exchanges like Binance and Coinlist, but participating in them takes a lot more effort and luck. At least this way I think is 90% accurate...

When the coin received a listing on Finance, it's too late to buy it. As a rule, if you buy a coin after listing, you will get a loss instead of a profit, as the price of the coin is sent to look for the next support levels for consolidation. In this case, it is better to buy a coin on DEX until the coin is listed on a centralized exchange.

Not possible to find out best altcoins at the beginning of the project but Depend on which exchange, track price volume, get little idea and possibilities of that altcoins will be good or not. hope you already got that, how you can track your altcoins on coinmarketcap & coingecko which you willing to buy. buying coin from ICOs could be risky cause those project owner Just claim to be listed soon but no guarantee at all! Even as you already told you think 99% of new coin are shitcoin! you should better to choice IEOs with good exchange

You can by following a trusted VC and good project partnership. Most the new project that has a potential are those with enough funds coming from trusted VC and there partners. One of the hottest VC right now are bluezilla the one who funded many big launchpad in crypto like ETHPad, BSCPAD, ADAPAD, Bscstation and many more launchpad & amm exchange. Some famous blockchain are doing official partnership to a startup project so you can actually follow new rising project by doing it. Just make sure that you are following the right social media account of VC and project to get info about this partnership.

You can also follow trusted media that always update important information in Crypto such as updates on events, developments and TGE. One of the media that I follow is CryptoDiffer, the information provided is very good and helps to find potential new coins or events for certain coins that can increase prices.

There are a lot of current tools to find new projects. However, with my experience in this field after many years, I have noticed that the big projects that OP mentioned have very clear plans so that people can invest from the beginning. But now high quality projects like this are still available, but if OP believes in new things, everything is, so don't look at the best stuff and think that all of them will bring good.

I use these 3 platforms to search for new coins, they provide a lot of information about trending topics, market caps and various other info on social media, then we can do more research about the developer and other things about the project. always be aware of new coins, make sure you have a lot of experience in investing to be able to avoid fake coins

To find a promising coin you are to follow all upcoming ICOs and get acquainted with all accessible information. You can look for ICOs and IDOs on coinmarketcap and then investigate web-sites of projects that are about to launch.

You should pay attention to documents, ideas of the project, development team, partnerships and community and I hope you will find the next SOL or ADA one day.
Even after having some good search into ICO's or all things about project we have no guarantee about project because no one know about this it's all depend of developers how they respond after use case and what they want to do but still it's not easy for anyone to have 100% prediction about good project recently we have some good hype in many joke coins which are doing some serious impact on all crypto community.

If you want to live in this crypto community then you have to do some own good search about projects and teams because these things very important for any project success, if developers doing some good then surely it's having good impact on community and project which give them very positive response.

For exchanges just make sure to join their group on telegram or any social media, they will share everything there and you can expect good news from there. Or if it's a common BSC token then it would probably get listed on Pancakeswap or any similar swipe sites on the internet, but be aware of low liquidity that makes your assets worth less than the usual.

But for the "popular" matter, well other than looking at the development really closely, I would say it's a matter of luck because with so many projects are raising until today and some of them would be failed so we can't recommend anything besides yourself to do your own research on each projects you are following.

I think right now there are a lot of groups of experts who are always on the hunt for gems.  They bring together professionals, experience and expertise to find the right project.  I was fortunate to have known Sovryn from bitcointalk first, and BCW.  Compared to all the IDO launch projects or some other gamefi thing, Sov is probably showing a macro vision and meaning along the way.  I think it will be a super good project for a defi for bitcoin, it will be uptrend for near future after Taproot.
Currently, Social media is doing some good for gem projects because few influencers are giving all updates related to good projects with teams and use case, which is very helpful. But, main thing is still we need some good work from ourselves for having good information about project which is good for investment.

First check about team of developers who is in and what is their record in past about their work because it's very important then check use case is good or have any good impact in future because it's also very important if you are not able to check these things surely it's going to create problems for you and your investments. Sometimes they have white paper which is copied pasted which is never been helpful for any investor. So going through with some of all things is surely good for anyone.

You can check it on several sites to find out what coins are good such as the icodrops.com site, coinmarketcap.com and the cryptorank.io site.
Of course the site as our material to consider for yourself before buying.
The site you mention is indeed very helpful for me personally, besides that on the site the information can be said to be credible,
so I don't worry and the news or information is always updated,
what is clear is that there are many safe and trusted sites
Almost everyone involved with cryptocurrencies in my opinion uses these sites to get information that will be taken into consideration in analyzing the coins or tokens they will decide to make into a decision.

I am afraid that you will never able to find and invest into such kind coins because pumping of such coins are happening completely in random manner. I am sure many potential coins are not getting pumped but just the copy-paste craps for getting higher value for no reason.

Because, whales are working in this way. They will choose random coins and they will start pumping it. If you want to cover all such coins then probably you must need to invest into at least 2000 coins and tokens out of available 3000 coins and tokens.
Unfortunately this is true. There are too many wealthy people who end up doing something that would only benefit them and nobody else. You may think "but we care about only our profit as well" but the reality is that when we invest, we want the project to succeed in order for us to get rich, we can't get rich with just 10% increase for example, we need it to do 10x in order to get rich and that means project needs to be super successful.

This is the difference between us and whales, if a whale can find something that they could pump for 50% and still have enough liquidity to get out, then they will do that and not care about the future of the project, after they got their profit, the project could die and they won't care about it. This is why there is a big difference between us and the whales, the only thing they care about is their money and not crypto world.

No one knows and if there were some  answer in regards to your question then lots would have already been rich but sticking out with the very basic stuff
then we know that taking up some research would always be the key and a bit mix of luck because everything could pump out even with the shitiest project
and the community would be the ones to decide and some whales who do really make out some random pumps without minding about projects real use case or potential thats why its really hard to predict on what would happen next which make things even more harder.

What you don't know is that it's hardly to get into good projects in early time, by the time you get to know the project will mostly be public because all sales contains
  • Angel investors
  • Strategic investors
  • Seed sales
  • Private investors

The above is done in private, that's why you hardly get early information.

Do not invest in projects at the ico stage without researching thoroughly. A large number of cryptocurrencies are released on the market every day, and according to the current market conditions, most of them are released for purely fraudulent purposes. Apart from this, you can follow the platforms where the projects in the ico stage are listed. In addition, you can follow the best information about this by following the bitcointalk forum where I am and by joining the telegram channels. But do not invest in any project without doing your own research first. Do not invest according to the recommendations of others.

well ICO's are kind of a pain in the ass nowadays you have to usually stake the native token of the platform to get more of a chance to win the lottery and even if you stake 50k on their platform it still doesn't guarantee you win. and then on top of that you are only allowed to purchase a small amount like 1 or 2k worth and it is vested. So IMO its really not worth it to do ICO's anymore just wait for it to get listed then dump then buy.

Get to know them all through the team and roadmaps and concepts that each new project team wants to run, because without researching deeply, you will always call a new project Shitcoin so saying that 99% of new projects is a very bad thing, even though it's not thus.

you are very lucky if you can find good new projects nowadays mate wherein that will make good performance in the future or can guarantee , unless if you check those listed in coinmarketcap or CoinGecko something like that because on that way you can find some genuine project since they're verified reason they're listed.. Indeed those sites are high ratings so probably you can't find scam schemes within..

It's hard to make sure an ICO can deliver success. Many of them are scams and only spend valuable time and capital. A definite indication if I look more at the project and the team that handles an ICO. Although it is not a guarantee of success at least this can be a factor that can be considered in ICO selection rather than having to be easily caught in shitcoin.

Thank you for all the links and tips. I will do an intensive research. Is there a way to spot scams directly? For example when registering and entering my personal information and adress to buy a coin or some specific things written down in the whitepaper?

We have to be careful when we decide to invest in ICOs or new projects, because it must be admitted that there are a lot of scam projects. We can
start examining the whitepaper projects, whether the whitepaper used is original or just a copy-paste from the previous whitepaper projects.
Then the next can investigate the project development team, whether it has a good track record or not. The last thing might be to see the social
media activities of these projects, if they are very active in providing updates on the development of these projects, it is very good. And do not believe
in projects that promise too much something that is too tempting. Try to collect as much information as we can find about the projects we will be
participating in, to be able to conclude the project is a scam or not.

No one knows, if someone knows a good project I'm not sure it will be successful and consistent in its development because various scam coins are easy to find and have an interesting whitepaper because it is to deceive investors, unlike DOT, 1inch, UNI and SOL the consistency of technology development given to the blockchain system is one of the best and favored by investors even though the ICO sales are not good but they have a good product and making have high value

It's mostly luck at such an early time point in a project's life. Nobody knows in advance whether a project will be such a huge success and makes a x1000 from the ICO. The best is to research upcoming ICOs on pages like those:
Then depending how much you want to invest pick ~5-10 different projects, invest and wait Wink

it doesn't help. doing research based on information from websites like that, doesn't help much. better go straight to their discussion group and see what the project has done. if you think the project has progress and potential to grow, then that could be one reason to invest. but basically this way is also not enough to find a project that can 100x. it's a matter of luck, and there's only one chance of finding such a project. but it's easier to find the project that's at the pump, than it will be. shiba inu, Solana, or Polkadot, I invest in those projects when the price has gone up 2-5x, and I still make a sizable profit. So I'm thinking instead of looking for projects that will be pumped 1000x, better find projects that are currently being pumped and hype. no need to do very deep and risky research, you just need to go with the flow.

According to current trends, popular ICO coins exist among the telegram community, you can follow ico review channels, ICO analysis, or something like that. If you want to distinguish Shitcoin which also has an ICO is quite easy. You have to see how much bonus the project offers if it's so big above 50% it's sure just to drain your money. It will be a scam immediately. Be sure to buy a quality ICO by following the current ICO trend.

Personally I follow some bloggers on YouTube and Telegram that always monitor all new ICOs and IDOs so they share the information about all upcoming launches and say how to participate in them. What platform you are to use, what the project it is. You have to get whitelisted to participate in presales in many projects and you are to complete some tasks to get opportunity to be an early investor.

I just buy whatever is whitelisted on skyward finance on NEAR protocol. Nearly all of those projects have doubled in value and Ref Finance is pretty quick to add farming pools for them so I can max out my APY on top of it. OCT for example was a really good flip.

That's not easy to spot a good coin but I think from basic research you will have a clue that they are one potential good ICO project that is worth it to put your investment.  There are many factors to consider from whitepaper to roadmap and check their website for that article about ICO, you should also follow ICO reports and research for further information if there's progress and last is the token listing.

IMO, open your eyes to them and you will know which project is good to invest in.  I will not suggest any because I'm not investing in them, I rather focus on Bitcoin or a coin that has been on the top of CMC.

it is hard to suggest because no one can really know the fate of the coin. like for example, who knows SOL or UNI will achieve this kind of popularity when they were starting? most of the time, an investor is hesitant because at the beginning of the project, they don't have anything to prove yet because they are just starting. also, most of them are only good at wp or talks but in actual implementation, only few can deliver.
so it is indeed up to the investor to study these new projects, and assess their capability to turn things into reality.

ICO is nkt really working on right now, moreover many scam tokens come from ICO.
It is better to find coins on certain  launchpad of top exchange or platform. Or IEO launch in at least middle to top exchange.
From the starting, we cannot know exactly that a project is really good or not. But at least we can see their team, concept of the project, the use case, roadmap inclusing where to list in certain months after listing.

In my opinion, the best way to find such gems is to check the Announcements (Altcoins) and Announcements (Altcoins)> Tokens (Altcoins) sections daily.
It is in these places that new projects create their Announcement threads.
Then you need to make your own very good project reserch - Whitepaper, tokenomics, dev team, roadmap.
This way you will be one of the first to find the gem.

It's quite difficult to know which one that will be going to the binance as this related to the fundamental analysis. Once you can find a project that got very big hype and it may have a chance to go to the binance exchange site.
But there were als coins which aint even shitcoins for example like DOT (ICO 0,29$), UNI (0,06$) or SOL (0,22$).
Mostly were getting mentioned on icodrop. I have been watching it since solana was nothing to something and i grap some from the ICO. Im in icodrop community is always looking for hidden gem like that. UNI must be an exception as it was an airdrop token to its users.
So how to spot these coins before they get popular or are listed on big exchanges and are purchaseable at decentrilised exchanges?
It can be spotted only from ico but you must also becareful if it's not all of icos worth to invest. You can follow icodrop and in my opinion this is the most reliable ico list site for this time.

Well as someone has posted, there are websites that you can follow to see where some of the tokens are getting listed.

But remember though that getting listed in Binance is not that easy, the projects needs money to pay and then they need to be very active as well.

So I would say that in the beginning those projects you mentioned, we didn't see it coming that they are going to be huge in the future.

There is already a lot of platforms these days to spot some coin offerings. As IEO (Initial Exchange Offering) started a few years ago and after that, there is now IDO (Initial DEX Offering) which is good too.

For IEO, you can just be kept updated on an exchange that got some IEO platform, like Binance, FTX, Kucoin. Following their socials is a good way too.
For IDO, there are a lot of platforms especially in Solana, there is Raydium, Solanium.

You can also check this website for list of upcoming IDO projects: https://coincodex.com/ido-list/

Nobody knows 100% how a project would turn out right from the ICO stage. Its just a game of luck. Even projects with high ICO ratings and guarantees can exit or crash out anytime. Its just dumb luck. Just wait and hope. Thats all I know
It's a perfect answer.

That's right, for me there's no way to how to guess a good project that turns into a precious one someday. There are a lot of scams happened in ICOs projects recently and that is the reason I didn't trust them to put my investment. If there's one that has successfully lunch and listed on a good exchange like Binance, maybe they are just lucky at that time, because investing in ICO is just you gamble the opportunity, the dad fact that there is no assurance that your money will back.

I have seen many projects on ICO that even how good their roadmap but still they end up exit scam, that's why be careful on it.

This is not the answer you are looking for, but consider since you stated yourself 99% of newly made cryptocurrencies are worthless, then just stick to cryptocurrency that has already been proved over a long period of time.

And if you are still eagerly wanting to find a "hidden game", at the very least you should understand about the basic fundamental of cryptocurrencies in general. See what the project problem solves and what it offers.

You can follow some YouTube Influencers but I don't think you are safe from your question you sensitivity to security is low and spotting a good ico coin which will do well is a multiple luck trial, and this coins aren't good coins to me, I saw when uni came out but I didn't buy and I am not thinking I missed out on it, I am a crypto-currency enthusiast I I will only have alt-coins which I think after the Influencers leaves it the alt-coin will still have heads above sea level.

That's a million dollar question my friend. Even if you find one as there are ton of different platforms, you have to waste so much time browsing so many garbage token sales that you wish you never saw. Then there might ONE of them that's even semi-good. You might get into whitelist or not, and even when the project looks good in the paper, it doesn't mean it would rise in value at all. It might even drop because of various reasons.

If you find one, you need to be VERY patient and very lucky at the same time.

If you are not well experiment, don't worry. Most of crypto investors have little/none knowledge in the sectors in which the invest their money.
However, there still be good projects with a realizable concept and unfortunately they don't run a public ICO. I don't remind what was the last project i saw a successful project starting with an ICO.

Personally, i use the forum to search and ask about interesting projects

Actually, everything is a risk. No one will know if a certain coin will have a big growth in the future no matter how good the project is. You have to make your own factors on what project do you think will certainly hit their respective moon price in the future.

You can start at how project devs are seriously putting up some development on their project. Check also their community-based social channels as most investors or project supporters are participating in the discussion there.

I think you won’t be able to know whether an ICO will be listed on a big exchange, except that the developers let you know that. What most people do is to just follow good projects that they find interesting and invest in them at cheaper rate, that’s during their ICO. And as time goes on, the developers may decide that they are going to get listed on huge exchange such as binance.com. ..

The team's desire to place its coin on a major exchange may not coincide with reality. When analyzing the project, it is necessary to see which of the major investors joined this project at an early stage. And if we see Alameda Research and Binance Labs among the investors, then you can be sure that this coin will definitely be listed on the FTX and Binance exchanges.

Be careful before investing in ICO. Usually it is not so easy to know exactly the continuity of a project from a business and technology point of view.
Many ICO publishers promised unreasonable yields, although many investors were successful because some coins exploded the price. However, according to experts, market characteristics are still marked according to large volatility.
Then it is wise, as usual, never spends money beyond your ability to lose it.

I believe any project that has a really good team would like to get their coin listed on big exchanges like Binance.com, because that’s what they should do if they really want the project to be successful. So, you should be checking out the team that are behind every project and also how good the project is.
