Democracy is vulnerable to a 51% attack.
What would be the benefit of having different deposit addresses, besides the privacy aspect?
1) So you can reliably tell the source of funds. If I make lots of deposits from Bittrex and lots of deposits from Bitfinex, if they each deposit into a different address, it's easy to track the source of funds.

2) To help resist $5 wrench attacks. If someone can figure out one of my transfers to Poloniex, they can figure out all of them. That can let them know when I have cash and when I have cryptos and how much. That can be leveraged into them knowing when to kidnap me and make it hard for me to convince them that I have fewer bitcoins than I actually have.

Also, you can't so easily dismiss privacy. Privacy isn't just about personal dignity, it's also often a matter of necessity. There's a reason businesses don't tell every employee how much every other employee gets paid. There's a reason your competitors don't tell you how much they pay from distributors you also do business with. This is especially true with cryptos where people might read things into other people's actions and act on the basis of them.

Bitfinex allows users to create multiple deposit addresses for each cryptocurrency.

To my knowledge this is not possible on poloniex, and is certainly not possible if you need *many* deposit addresses as one would likely need when transferring BCH from many (separate per the blockchain) addresses.

Thanks, I have hitBTC and Bitfinex bookmarked now as two potential candidates for my BCash dump. My question is, do you know what requeriments does Bitfinex asks to trade crypto to crypto? Because I've seen exchanges getting increasingly annoying with the verifications. For example, Bittrex no longer allows you to trade crypto to crypto without you revealing your full name, address, place of birth and a bunch of other stuff that you shouldn't be giving away to some altcoin exchange because they get hacked often. It's ridiculous.
You need to give bitfinex your email address you want associated with your account. They have no verification requirements if you do not want to deposit/withdraw fiat. They might ask you the confirm if you are a NY resident (or a resident of another jurisdiction they do not do business in due to regulations) if you access their site from an IP address appearing to be in NY.

You can't change your deposit address in Poloniex, not only in Bitcoin but for many other altcoins too. I have tried to switch address in Bytecoin, Ethereum, Zcash and a few others. Regarding locked accounts I don't know what to say, mine is working properly and I have only my basic info there, my email letting me withdraw up to 2K dollars in value of coins daily which is fair enough for me, I never withdraw more than 500 dollars anyway.

I don't think Poloniex is allowed to generate a new address or I just haven't heard anyone try to generate a new address. I know Jaxx.io does that but not sure if they already have BCH listed in their exchanges though.

I don't want to send all of my coins to the same damn address. Why isn't Poloniex letting me generate new addresses to deposit in different transactions using different addresses? Fuck these guys if you can't.
Send a support ticket if not make a new account or tell someone in your family to do so they do have a limit of $2k for all members with basic info.

What exchanges that have BCH listed will allow me to generate different deposit addresses? I want to dump all of my BCH for once, but I can't send it all on a single batch, I need different deposit addresses
.

As far as i remember livecoin allows you to create a new address the only issue I'm not sure if bch is listed on that exchange i saw bcc but it was some ponzi bitconnect they also had a update they might have removed this feature.

I believe that its impossible to do so, probably because they have a lot of users and they want to keep logs of everything in a clean way. I have tried Hitbtc and you can generate as many addresses as you want, for Bitcoin Cash or anything else.

Well, by doing so, they are screwing up all the users that want to retain any sort of privacy with their transactions. You can't expect anyone with half a brain to send their entire bitcoin portfolio into a single address that belongs to a damn exchange to boot. You should do due diligence and keep your privacy intact, and it has nothing to do with taxes, you just don't want people to know you own X money. Do you go around telling people you own X fiat? same thing.

I will try the hitBTC exchange, thanks.

Yobit allows you to create multiple deposit addresses for every coin that is listed there, Bitcoincash is also listed there but you have to deposit some BCH in your old address before you will be able to create new address for that coin.

Yobit is still working but their support is shit, just make sure you will not send all you have there before withdrawing out bitcoin/usd.

Nope. They update the deposit addresses when they want, how they want it. You essentially have 0 say in when it's done. There is definitely no refresh address button anywhere. On bittrex, i'm pretty sure that you are able to generate a new address each time you deposit something. There is a refresh address button at the bottom.

Why do you need to have multiple deposit addresses, though? As mjglqw pointed out, there is no benefit apart from privacy, which you're going to get less of anyways if you were to use an exchange to process your deposits.

But i wouldn't recommend using poloniex, even if they did offer the option to generate new addresses. They have lots of issues.

I'm not completely sure in Bittrex, but I remember changing deposit addresses a few times. Though there might be a limit, once a day perhaps? Might want to try it out. Bittrex.com

I don't suggest depositing any cryptocurrencies on Poloniex by the way, there's been alot of issues with Poloniex lately, whereas alot of people are claiming to their coins being locked up on Poloniex, disabling their withdrawal option for some reason. Also, their support hasn't been replying to the complaints for a couple of months already. Might want to read these posts:
