QR Codes have 8 different mask patterns that can be applied to the code.  All 8 patterns can result in "valid" QR Codes.  Additionally, there are 4 different levels of error correction that can be applied to the QR Code, and 7 different information densities.

This means there are potentially 224 different QR Codes to represent the exact same information.

Thank u for the detailed explanation Smiley

When I'm showing it to a customer on an online store, do I need to bind the payment amount in the QR code or just showing the address is fine ? What is the standard practice ?

use some site that bundle it with addresses like most of them actually http://bitcoincoldstash.com/ for example (works offline)

Let us assume I'm trying to generate the QR for Satoshi's address 12c6DSiU4Rq3P4ZxziKxzrL5LmMBrzjrJX.

I am using http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=qr&chs=200&chl=12c6DSiU4Rq3P4ZxziKxzrL5LmMBrzjrJX

Blockr.IO is showing http://blockr.io/api/v1/address/Qr/12c6DSiU4Rq3P4ZxziKxzrL5LmMBrzjrJX

Blockchain.info is showing https://blockchain.info/qr?data=12c6DSiU4Rq3P4ZxziKxzrL5LmMBrzjrJX&size=200

Looks like all the images are different !!! Which one is correct ?

Moreover, do I need to bind the payment amount in the QR code ? What is the standard practice ?
