Glad to hear just noticed MaidSafe has a refund spreadsheet so it may make sense to just do that
Not alone some people used coinbase Smiley

Thanks for your response!

I checked the spreadsheet and my order was completed, I think I now have to wait 24-48hrs like they said before its in my bitcoin address.  Once I know this I will figure out how to transfer it to blockchain.info when I contact them.

I tried contacting maidsafe but seems like they are overwhelmed with emails at the moment as their normal response time of a few hrs is now over a day.  I will just wait for coins to arrive instead of changing the address incase a mistake happens.

Will post again once its sorted to help others.

Ok yes I read this yesterday after I bought the coin.  Is there a way I can transfer the maidsafecoins to my blockchain wallet?  coinspot.com.au does not have any function that allows import/export or paper wallets.

Also thanks for your response.

No problem.
Regarding coinspot.com.au
I have never used that service although you can check if the maidsafecoins were moved to the address already using
http://mymastercoins.com/ and typing in the deposit address
If they have not moved yet maybe mail maidsafe and ask to change the address to one you control the private key too
Provide the transaction ID logs etc.

Although I think you need the Masterwallet to move maidsafecoins once they are sent out so would highly recommend the first route if they have not been moved yet.

That said reading the coinspot blog it might work if you ask them to send you the maidcoins to an account you control and I assume coinspot has the private key or can tell you where to find it so you can link it with omniwallet.

From their site I see you can contact their phone number or use facebook to drop them a PM
https://www.facebook.com/coinspotau
https://www.coinspot.com.au/blog#.U1d3nle5bxs

Will be a bit trickier but should work as well anyways they should be recoverable just requires a bit more effort best of luck

Edit In: Use the First Route since the coins have not been sent yet

Follow these steps although not sure if it works for you if not ask maidsafe in a PM with your address and redo from an address you control also be careful about leaving large amounts on online wallets they can disappear (instantwallet or inputs.io)
I recommend downloading Bitcoin QT or Armory to do that and saving a backup to a usb drive

Please note: if you are using a coinbase account, or an account where you don’t have control over the private keys please go to Appendix B https://docs.google.com/a/maidsafe.net/presentation/d/1zhrtkCY1R5HnoB719Xp16bNTaqXuJKGjNYOPktKAbCw/edit#slide=id.g2726e6bdb_410:

Hey everyone first post.

So I just bought into maidsafecoin and did it from an address that does not give you access to your private key (coinspot.com.au) .  If I ever wanted to send or move them do I need access to it or is there another way?  Im still new to cryptos and the only time I have seen my private key was for a short time when I moved coins offline through multibit.

Had a look through similar posts but couldn't find an answer.

Any advice?
