low carbs medium fats high proteins

stick with that. spread your meals into 5 thoughout the day. Have a casein protein at the end of the night before bed so your body doesn't go into a catabolic state where the insulin is spiked once you have your first meal

good luck

Problems I found by cutting carbs is having bad breath and constipation but hell if you look good doesn't matter  Smiley

Well, you can try running 2 hours a day, that should help. Dancing or any physical activity too. And remember to drink a lot of water and eat healthy.

When it comes to body fat, beige is the new brown

  • Scientists describe how white fat begins to behave more like brown fat. The "beige" fat burns more calories
  • A new approach to weight loss may harness the immune system, not the gut or the brain
  • Exposure to cold turns some white fat cells into high energy consumers. But the big chill may not be necessary

Should be simple enough to put those people who advertise "lose weight quickly" products out of business. Some tips I heard include:

1) Burn more calories than you take in.
2) Drink lots of pure water.
3) Don't overdo it! Overdoing it can actually trigger mechanisms in your body that store fat.
4) Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and not much junk food.
5) Don't stress about it. Stress hormones can also trigger storing fat.

It's not that difficult.

Abs exercise, cardio playing, and some fat burners.

Exercise is useful but don't take any fat burner. Try to follow the Mediterranean diet:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mediterranean_diet

Fruits and Vegetables: Mediterranean Diet provides 6-12 servings per day
Grain Products: Mediterranean Diet provides 4-6 servings per day
Milk and Alternatives: Mediterranean Diet provides 1-3 servings of low fat dairy products per day
Meat and Alternatives: Mediterranean Diet provides 1-2 servings of poultry, fish and shellfish per day
Other: Mediterranean Diet recommends one glass of red wine daily

Most American I saw is fat. I think the Americans need a National Fitness Program like the Russians do. Or like the Koreans and Chinese do. Most Koreans and Chinese I saw is not fat.

It's possible for anyone to take individual action if they really want - but since it's not in the US culture to stay fit, like it's in many parts of Asia, it demands a little bit extra motivation.

The key parts are:

1. Your mind. You must decide that you want a change and you must be commited to a lifestyle change.
2. Nutrition
3. Training

There are lots of guides online, and you could even buy a book like 'body for life' which would give you all you need without you having to do mountains of research.

But for health and fitness like everything else in life, if you are determined to succeed and determined to put in the hard work - you will succeed.

And hard work it is. If you're looking to get anything more than the 'health benefits', it's going to take a lot of dedication and hard work!

Lots of the time it's not going to be fun and/or pleasant.

But life quality will improve, and you will feel better.

Put little effort and commitment in, and you will receive little in return. This is a continuous journey where you will be rewarded for the work put in.

Many people look to get great results from little work - but that never happens. It's like becoming a decent programmer, if you pay others to do your homework, it will simply never happen.

I think the value of hard work and consistent effort and dedication is important to emphasize. Of course old fashioned hard work is not a good sell, that's why supplement companies profit from selling dreams. Take this protein powder, and you'll look like a bodybuilder in no time. Do this sixpack shortcut program and you will have a sixpack in 6 weeks time..

If a chiseled body is desired anybody wanting to do that should know it will take a lot of time and dedication, and it will probably become your number 1 priority in life. Everything you eat, and everything you do matters, to achieve the result you want to have. Doing something 70% is not going to give you any results.

And it's not like saving money in the bank. If you save 100 dollars every week and put in the bank, you will have 400 dollars by the end of every month, and 4800 by the end of the year, and if no further action is taken, those 4800 dollars will just stay there.

If you work hard for a year, you could get a nice sixpack, if that's your desire, it's perfectly doable, unless you're far out fat or in extraordinary horrible shape in which case it might never happen due to excessive skin on your body.

However, once that sixpack is achieved, it will vanish in about a week if you don't keep up the nutritional regime and training. It's not like a thing that you create or buy, and then you have it for ever.

It's a lifestyle, and it's hard - and that's why you see so few people in good shape. And it's not only about going to the gym, but also grocery shopping, preparing all the meals, and eating all the meals - actually professional fitness models have it as their full time job.

In addition most fitness models and bodybuilders you see, and want to be like, are chemically enhanced, often sacrificing their health in the process. So while they look healthy on the outside like a super hero, they might not be so healthy inside. Heart attacks and other health issues are not unheard of.

So the most sensible way to go about it, is to determine what kind of level you want to put it on, and what's important for you. If you eat relatively healthy and go to the gym for good workouts 3 times a week, that's enough to keep you in pretty decent shape. But remember moving the body outside the gym and work, like walking is important too.

Anyone very interested in the topic should join some training community online.

The stubborn body fat is also the part that goes last. These are the reserves nature has put on your body for hard times, and to have it go away, you need to use up all other reserves first.

So the answer to have it removed is to keep up very vigorous exercise and a good healthy diet regime. Of course there's shortcuts here as well, where you can take fat burners (I'm sure some steroid forum could help you out), and you can eat virtually anything and get that sixpack you crave, but if you think of it long term, it's a bit like adding some suspicious agent to the gasoline of your car, it might go better and faster for a while, but eventually things will clog up, and you will run into problems, and in difference to the car, the body cannot simply be fixed unless you have shitloads of money and access to the best healthcare, and even then there's no guarantees, if you run your body too hard for long enough, it will give you trouble.

So stay healthy, go the old fashioned route, and enjoy all the benefits it will provide for you in your life.

Wheat is really bad, but I love bread so that is tough.
Exercise...No Beer...Less sugar....Small amounts of meat.
TONS of veggies.

Wheat is actually very good, in fact; on par with a lot of the 'superfood' grains you may hear about. It has nearly 4 times the fiber content of brown rice. Here's a comparison of wheat vs quinoa: https://www.google.ca/?gfe_rd=ctrl&ei=EI43U9PmHKrE8geN4oD4DQ&gws_rd=cr#q=wheat+vs+quinoa (Click on the arrow to expand the nutritional info) As you can see, it has a similar nutritional profile.

The problem is processed wheat is stripped of it's goodness. When they send wheat to the mill to make it into white flour, everything goes: the fiber, bran, germ, vitamins, nutrients, etc. They actually 'enrich' the flour afterwards by adding vitamins to it Angry

The thing I like with wheat is that it isn't marketed as a superfood, so it's relatively cheap. And you can make some delicious dishes with it too:

It's always the belly fat that is last to go. I've always been a skinny/normal fat level person but I still have belly fat. The only way to deal with it is through two combined methods: #1 - eat very healthy and #2 - do cardio-intensive workouts regularly. If you only do one, you probably won't see major change. People often forget that what you eat has a huge impact, to the point of even negating the gains of your working out.

I lost a lot of weight in the recent years. Lifestyle change is inevitable. Avoid processed food. A raw food period (at least two weeks if you can't do it forever) cleanses the body (gets all the acid out), causes a change in metabolism, and raises sensitivity about which food is good for you and which is not.

Meat may be not as bad as some claim, but (especially cheap one) is loaded with pharmaceuticals which, you should be able to guess it, is intended to fatten the animal.

Exercise is very recommended of course, I swim or go to the gym almost every day.

I have been excercising for a while to lose wait now and eventually I've lost some weights. However the fat around my belly hasn't been burned. Please advice me what to do.

Do cardio 3-5 days a week, also make sure you get a good sweat out of it.

Ab exercises will help firm up the muscles, which will make it more apparent when you do end up losing the fat. Strengthening you're core is always a good thing, and it tends to make you feel better about yourself which leads to exercise and eating healthy being easier.

And ofcourse the obvious eat less / don't eat foods heavy in fat and sugar.

There really is no easy way to do it, when losing weight belly fat is some of the last to go.

Also everything this guy said is pretty accurate:
You need to do cardio, cardio, and more cardio.  Building muscle is great but if your six pack is under 2" of fat you can't see it without a scalpel.

When running (or any form of cadio) make sure you keep your hear rate in the fat burning range.  Initially you will want to use a heart rate monitor eventually you will just be able to feel when in the zone.  Running too fast, too hard will spike your heart rate out of the zone.  At that work level your body can't efficiently burn fat and still provide the needed energy so it switches to only burning blood sugar.  So instead you will want to run slower/easier for longer periods of time.    If you are going to run remember running is destructive to the body (literally components are damaged, degraded) so you need off days.  Initially I would say run no more than 3 days a week and eventually you can bump that up to 4 or 5.

TL/DR version:
If your goal is to lose fat you need to focus on cardioand keep your heart rate in the fat burning zone.  Once you burn off enough fat switch to a more varied work out regiment.

It is not just about running blindly !

If you increase your metabolism, you increase the demand for calories resulting in feeling hungry and frustrated.

It is a balance between what you take (eat) and what you spend (activities).

Also, many recent studies suggest that short intensive exercises is way better than long cardio exercises.

It takes all your life to find the balance. It is not a matter of short time restrictive diet and some exercises.

Aiming for a healthy lifestyle is the key.

Several studies show that just by adding coconut oil to your diet, you can lose fat , especially the “dangerous” fat in the abdominal cavity. I try it myself for 1 month , I took 1 soon of coconut oil on empty stomach every morning and I stood away from sugar and bread;the result 1.6 inches disappear from my belly. You should try it!

I have been excercising for a while to lose wait now and eventually I've lost some weights. However the fat around my belly hasn't been burned. Please advice me what to do.

WORKOUT, DO NOT EAT, AND YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT.

Worst advice ever given. It's not about fat loss, it's about a life-style change. You can't lose a certain amount of fat and then expect the same amount of fat to never return. It's not like building a concrete floor, that once it's done it will stay like that for ever.

To have a successful life-style change, you need to do something that you truly enjoy and like, if it's a chore, it's only a matter of time before you go back to old habits. But training and paying attention to what you eat is like everything else in life - sometimes it's boring, sometimes it's fun.

If you're a lazy person by nature, and lack discipline, starting a team sport or attending some kind of sports classes where you enjoy the activities could be a good idea.

If you're wealthy and can afford it, put your life-style change in the hands of a professional, he or she will aid you in learning better habits.

And remember that if you fail at one point, with a cheat meal, alcohol, or whatever - remember you're not a failure - just keep going the next day.

You should also ask yourself why you want to remove 'stubborn bodyfat' around the tummy. Are you doing it for yourself, or to 'look' good in the eyes of others primarily. If the last, I'm not sure if that's the right reasons why to do it. If you're thinking in terms of other dudes and how they look at you, most couldn't care less. If you're thinking about girls and attracting those, only a tiny percentage are obsessed with sixpacks, the rest will enjoy your company if you make them feel good. I've seen chubby dudes get the best and nicest girls, because they're humorous and know how to socialize.

The concerns about having a sixpack is mostly a media made 'ideal' that's hardly worth shooting for. There's a lot of things you can't enjoy in life if you're going for that calvin klein underwear model look. Forget about alcohol, and carb-loaded meals.

But frankly, if you can make the habit of learning what foods are healthy and what are not, and make a decision every time you're about to put something into your mouth, and move more - you're getting there one step at a time.

But nothing beats a lifestyle of training and proper food. You should never starve yourself to lose bodyweight, but rather educate yourself. The book body-for-life is a great starting point for those who lack knowledge about these things. Just google it, and you'll find it. If you follow it to the letter, you'll get that body you're dreaming about. But remember that this is a never ending road, once you're satisfied with your results, you need to keep everything up, or else it will deteriorate as quickly as in less than a week.

Tabata sprints. A.K.A HITT. High Intensity Interval Training. A ten minute workout ups your metabolism for 24 hours. It beats jogging ten fold. Causes your body to burn calories long after you stop the workout.
Thanks for the hype, it is good yes, but what you said doesn't make sense.

I lost ~10 kg in 44 days on ketogenic diet with a little bit of exercise, some short distance running (which does not burn that much calories anyway)

Counted calories intake is a must. My primary food was meat, eggs, nuts and fish. No carbs, only some light vegetables time to time. And no sugar, only substitutes.
1 or 2 days I was forced to eat cake and candy stuff at some parties Smiley

There's also CKD diet for those who are much into sports, there you can have lot of carbs once a week.

Eat properly. I don't know if you're a man or women. I haven't really checked the posts. But, you should look at the recommend kcal in take for each man & women every day. Depending on you're gender is the amount you can take in. But, a good way to start without looking at that is to cut down on the stuff you eat now. If you drink a 2 litres of coca cola everyday then only drink 1 litre or just drink water.

There's a lot of information on dieting which will help you lose a few extra pounds. But, exercise is the best. However, don't over do it. Especially if you have not been exercising. Take it slow. This week I have 3 weight sessions, and a 26 mile run. You could try sit ups, every morning & night. If you don't think you are doing it correctly then check youtube to see if you can find the exercise which you are doing. I wouldn't recommend buying dvds which show you how to do things. Because if you're really stuck then you can check youtube free of charge, except for internet obviously but looks like you have that covered lol.

But, take it easy. It doesn't happen quickly. Dieting is really hard. You will have really bad days which you get stressed because you aren't eating as much as you would normally. You have to be mentally strong and say to you're self that it's benefiting you in the long run. Being fit & active is much better. You find your self in a much more relaxed and happy mood. For me. I love to exercise because it gives me a adrenaline rush. Especially skiing & mountaineering.

Make a routine. Don't just make it up as you go along. Making a routine keeps you focused and wanting to achieve what you have planned. Record you're progress. You can use many apps on you're phone to monitor you're progress. For example Strava & map my run. You could also get a Garmin if you have the money. They are pretty decent, some issues but I would recommend them.

EDIT: I would recommend running, swimming & hiking. They are a great way to exercise. But, having a heart rate monitor is always great to make sure you are in that fat burning zone. I know someone mentioned about training at high altitudes. Well you don't really have to do that yet. That's if you want to become fit. But, if you are carrying a stomach then it would make it much harder and will make you feel like giving up. I always get in the "Zone" or the "Flow" before doing any sort of activity because it helps me keep focused and determined.
Rowing & cycling are common. Cycling is easier on the knees than running and is also very good for the stomach area. Rowing is even better. As long as you can get the equipment then you are running rowing for gold.

Good luck!

It's also important to take into consideration that running is not the best option for everyone. Cycling, swimming and rowing might be better options for some. The reason being that if you start running right off the bat, and your body is heavy, and perhaps you're not used to training, you very easily create more problems like chronic inflamation in the shin etc.

Walking uphill is also a great activity. But also watching the diet, avoiding sugary stuff is a good way to go about it.

You need to do cardio, cardio, and more cardio.  Building muscle is great but if your six pack is under 2" of fat you can't see it without a scalpel.

When running max sure you keep your hear rate in the fat burning range.  Initially you will want to use a heart rate monitor eventually you will just be able to feel when in the zone.  Running too fast, too hard will spike your heart rate out of the zone.  At that work level your body can't efficiently burn fat and still provide the needed energy so it switches to only burning blood sugar.

TL/DR version:
If you are trying to lose fat (as opposed to gain strength, definition, muscle mass, etc) you need to focus on cardio and keep your heart rate in the fat burning zone.  Once you burn off enough fat switch to a more varied work out regiment.

Belly fat is the fat that goes the last. But training with weights and cardio + diet is the way to go - look for bodyforlife for example. There are numerous resources online. This is not impossible, but it is hard - that's why you see few people do it.

There are however many sports where the effects of the sport gives the results you're after: Gymnastics, rock-climbing and so on.

I have been excercising for a while to lose wait now and eventually I've lost some weights. However the fat around my belly hasn't been burned. Please advice me what to do.
What kind of excercising have you been doing?

Just be stubborn. Running, squash, rock climbing, boxing, healthy meals - all of it in moderation. Do not overexcercise. Ask yourself: what is a reasonable time frame to reduce the belly you've been putting on for years?

low carbs medium fats high proteins

stick with that. spread your meals into 5 thoughout the day. Have a casein protein at the end of the night before bed so your body doesn't go into a catabolic state where the insulin is spiked once you have your first meal

good luck
