Is Binance.com the most direct / only way? Binance.US doesn't seem to allow withdraw of BNB to Binance Smart Chain (BSC / BEP20).
I don't know the reason but you can't withdraw BNB with BSC on binance.US platform. Though there's a way to do it.

No. The fastest way for me has been to withdraw it via BEP-2 to the Binance Wallet and then transfer it to the BSC from there.
Seems there's no fee or low fee when transfering bnb from .IS to .COM platform.

I find it weird that the Binance Bridge that is known to convert other network tokens to BEP20 doesn't have an option to convert BNB BEP2 to BNB BEP20.  In order to convert BNB BEP2, we need to use exchanges that support BEP20 withdrawal.

It is better to use a trust wallet and you can explore on it easily because the feature is already inside the wallet itself. You can swap it to BNB-BEP20 if you have a balance on that wallet.
Verify first before downloading it from the main source so that you won't fall to a wrong app and likely going to scam you.

The easiest way to exchange with such problems is probably an exchange on a wallet. on Trust Wallet, this can be done without any problems.

Not at all, you can use DEX to swap your bnb to bep20.. this could possibly happen on Apeswap, Pancakeswap which you can make withdrawal to your wallet.

If Binance.US does not have that feature which is you can select between BSC and Binance Chain token for the withdrawal, don't worry I'm sure it was supporting the original (BEP2) token from the Binance Chain, It so simple you can withdraw (BEP2) BNB directly to your Trust wallet and swap it from (BEP2) BNB to (BEP20) BNB token. It was fast and easy but if you can access the main Binance exchange by using VPN will thats better.

Many of the exchange I use do support both form of the BNB tokens BEP2 and BSC. Binance and Kucoin are the ones I mostly use. Some of the exchange only accepts the former one while I found coinex only supports withdrawal in BSC, progressive approach. Anyway, you should be sure to chose the network you want it to and confirm whether it's supported or not from both the sending and receiving wallets.

Or either through their Bridge[1] with the help of a VPN or through Trust Wallet's[2] or Safepal's[3] swap feature (both mobile wallet apps owned by Binance).
