I have never needed this before but I would like to know how can I get the QR code of an address in Core. Namely, I want to send some BTC to a friend and my friend has a Mycellium wallet. How do I make it so that he can scan my address instead of typing it manually? I just can't find a way to show address in QR format to send, only to receive.
If you don't know the QR code of any address, just go to blockchain.info and search that address. That's it, you find the QR code of that address (to right)  Roll Eyes

So, you want to send BTC from Bitcoin Core, to Mycelium?
That means that you have to get the Address on your friends mycelium wallet, to your PC.
I personally use http://sourceforge.net/projects/zbar/ which is not the best software, but good enough(I just used it some times for my paper wallets). But since your friend uses a Smartphone, why not just send the address via E-Mail?

To add on top of this, most browsers now support the bitcoin: protocol.
So you can send a link like this: bitcoin:1JHE1qU5S8ryc5xJx3UXvXA4Ei2phArEM7
