There are developer forums on the web where people who fork other coins discuss various topics related to forking and adding features to coins. There are also telegram and discord group where you can find such information as there is absolutely nothing available on the net.

You definitely need to import BIP44 seed from other forks that are already using it, and then use it by yourself. You can also reach out to people who are into forking through other forums, and get an idea on it further, i'm sure it will be of great help.
It's the best way to do that, but i guess just try to talk about those bitcoin developer will much better or the majority of people are expert at this case are discussing a lot on the development section.

I am not a pro in this, but I think I read somewhere that you need to import the BIP44 seed from other forks that are already using it, and then implement it all by yourself. You can also reach out to people who are into forking through other forums and telegram groups if it is an emergency.

I'd forked and created an altcoin based on Dash coin for one of my client. He then request to have BIP44 supported so that he can transact his new coin with BIP44 supported wallets. Been digging around for way to implement it, but couldn't find any info related to implementing BIP44. Hope there're professionals here can help me out.

Thanks and much appreciated.
