Sia coin is a digital cloud storage space, powered by blockchain technology. It creates a decentralized online cloud storage for users, who can rent out their unused digital space for a certain fee, which is paid in the Siacoin cryptocurrency - the SC token.

Users can rent out or rent storage space, with the blockchain acting as a ledger which records who stores what, and all the payments. The system then splits the system into storage units of equal sizes, hashes them, and divides them into many host storage sites.

Siacoins can also be exchanged for other cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin and Ethereum. CoinSwitch, best cryptocurrency exchangeis an ideal site to exchange this, as it shows various exchange, allowing the best selection possible. It also lets you keep the currencies in your own wallet, so you can access them as and when you want.
