HD wallets aren't always compatible with each other so the best thing you can do is create a new electrum wallet and send all your bitcoins to an address in that new wallet.

To create a new wallet use file>new/restore. To open the wallet in future use file> open. To create a shortcut to the wallet use the -w switch:

Code:
electrum -w c:\path\to\wallet\file

By default wallets are stored in this location:

As far as I know , they are planning to give users control over their private keys pretty soon , In the meantime you could use this to export your private keys : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-2l6xOqcbjs9QWEqSh72RD1d8EEdvG_hQuEXw_f_o6w/edit (It'so originally posted by Quickseller somewhere in the forums)

Thank satoshi
Just make a new wallet and transfer all your coins there.  There's some ways to get the private keys but you can't import them to HD wallet (just import-only wallet) so transferring your coins is the best and easiest way.
