It isn't the merit system that need to be improved. What needs to be improved is the inability of some people to read thread titles.

Did you notice that there are a couple of threads on this board that discuss the merit system? Smiley

Well people are hard to change, what you need to is to provide them a track to which they could choose or automatically convince them to merit rather than allowing them to set too high expectations that was not asked of them in the first place. I really enjoy this forum and as much as i can i participate with ample researches and read through as a beginner. I just don't know how to define quality right now, based on what parameter? What's happening right now is  beginner's rank depends on the idealistic parameters of those in the higher rank. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I have some inhibitions about the merit system since i'm still a beginner and at the same time i do appreciate and understand its purpose. Still i don't think that this works objectively since not all quality posts are given attention to compared if a specific parameter is targeted like  average word count maybe.

All these questions are already discussed on the main thread of the merit system, check it out for your reference.

Simply by don't asking these types of question and start writing quality posts.
If you are writing quality post you will definitely get the merit by any means.
There are many members who are always in search of good content. If they review your post and not giving you the merit point, This will be a lesson of learning. Keep learning. oneday you will write quality post because quality posts are eye catching.
Always learn from your failures in order to get success in life.

There are so many merit sources and other members with merit points and all of them do not judge based on single parameter. You will get merits for quality posts sooner or later.
