Some posts here offers merits to people who posted quality posts for the last 10-20 posts. They will review your posts, and if they find it fruitful to the community and not just copy and pasting things, they will reward you 3-5 merits.

I now take a lot of time to grade these posts and if they are of a high quality and very constructive, then only will I award merit to the posts.  Sad
I joined this forum recently and I'm still learning about how the forum works and how we should write good quality constructive posts in order to help other forum members while expanding my knowledge too. So if you have some free time can you check my posts wether I'm in the right track or not. Smiley

Merit was never introduced to make it easier for people to rank up. If you do the research and take the time to post something constructive, then people will appreciate that and they will award you some of their sMerit.

At one stage just after this merit system was introduced, I wanted to be generous by rewarding lower ranked members with some sMerit for "average" posting quality, but this quickly backfired, because I received a shitload of PM's from newbies with requests to Merit them for "below" average posting. So I decided not to do that anymore, and these PM's decreased drastically.

I now take a lot of time to grade these posts and if they are of a high quality and very constructive, then only will I award merit to the posts.  Sad

I have completed my activity points for Senior Member more than 240 (266) but requirement for Senior Member (New Updates) is also 250 Merits, can anyone tell me how to increase my merit ? currently i have 100 merits .

You have achieved 100 merit target. So I think you should repeat what you have done to achieve 100 merits.(unless you got those merits at the first place when merit system implemented) Smiley

No, you can't do this. After the implementation of the new system, everything needs its own efforts to gain recognition. It can be upgraded instead of the previous model. I come late, but I am confident that I can use my hard work to gain a higher level. Contributing to the forum will reward you.

Be contented with your rank, it's not about what you can earn, but what you can read and learn in this forum.

Sooner or later you'll get used to your rank and just focus on reading more and writing less here. With that, you'll never feel frustrated and forget about earning. Maybe that's the reason why the merit system was introduced.

But if you really want to increase your merit, I usually see people flock to Meta section, try your luck there, who knows, someone might like what you are going to say.

Only easy way to get merit, first you have to know and learn that " there is no easy way to earn merit"

Your rank is almost good. There are many thread for earn merit. As well as you are Full member you should know how is work merit system. For earn merit you should make usfule post for forum members. Help to clean forum from spammer. Share your creative idea with forum members. If people get some knowledge from your post, sure some one will give you merit. I have checked your merit history.  You didn't spend merit during 120 days. You don't want to spend your merit so how you expect from other. Help other and other will help you. Main thing to earn merit, you have to make HQ post.

There is no easy task to earn merit, you must work hard for it to receive merit. There are lots of threads about earning merits TMAN had a guide on how to earn merits. You should take a look at it.

You can find merit abusers and make a post about them, many people get merit for this)))

and that in itself is an abuse of the merit system in my opinion.

Why don't you guys just make useful constructive posts about Bitcoin and crypto, instead of trying to invent methods of bypassing the spirit of the system.
I agree with Jet Cash, since i'm not good at getting merits but atleast I try to contribute even though I lack skills on contributing to this forum. In my opinion it will be best for us to read Post and replies that has merits given by members and study it so we can earn merit too and of course with the help of the forum's search feature.

No easy method, you have to follow some guidelines,
 they are ::

read this

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/tmans-guide-to-getting-merit-3182178  TMAN'S guide to getting merit.

One more way....https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=topusers these are the list of Top-merited users, you can read their post to get an idea of the quality post.

I have also seen your post.....in last 20 posts, posts are related to the bounty and airdrop of the coin and all are related to the altcoin discussion except 2, all are one-liner ANSWER...I don't think, in this way you will get any merit. Change the attitude of writing and gain merit.

Actually there is an "easy way" to increase your merits.

There's only two things you need to do in order to increase your merits.

1. Gain knowledge - gaining knowledge about the crypto space (since this forum is about bitcoin, a cryptocurrency), isn't really that hard. Specially in the modern world, we have the internet. You can maximize the use of that resource and make the most out of it. Besides, it's completely free, what's there to lose?

Reminder: The more interested you are about the topic, the more knowledge you can gain.

2. Apply your knowledge - as you broaden your knowledge about the crypto space, helping others and providing quality content would be easy as 1 2 3. You can express yourself freely or you can be technical, any will do, as long as your topics are on point and clear, merits would eventually come.

Gain knowledge then apply it. Merits would surely come.

There is no way to get merit easily. Merit is only for quality posts, articles are useful for the community. Beside creating so many quality posts, there is no other way to get merit.

Well, if your intend is to get "easy" merits just stop. You wont get that 150 needed merits to rank up.
The merit system was introduced to raise the quality/helpfulness/... of the posts in the forum. It takes a lot of time to write such postings. Additionally,
The merits in circulation are decreasing, so as time goes by it gets harder and harder to gain them.

Is Meta is on your Ignore Board preferences?  You will find on average of 2 threads with Merit talking and if you read them then you have already have your answer.

Most easiest way to get Merit:

Go through the list of the these user and ask yourself what extra skill/or what extra  that they did or doing ?  If you able to do things better than them then merits will be easier for you. (might be you need to acquire some new skills).

There is one popular adage as below:
There ain't no such thing as a free lunch

and I will convert it for you as ==> There ain't no such thing as a easy/free Merit.

I searched somewhere on the internet and found this deffinition:

something that deserves or justifies a reward or commendation; a commendable quality, act, etc.:

which means that to obtain merits; you need an act, a quality / helpful post, a remark, an analysis ... something that brings a plus for this community, and you will be rewarded with some amount of merit depending on how people find it useful

I didn't see an easy way to get a merit. You have to make good, meaningful and high-quality posts on here. The merit is given by random bitcointalk users. If they are like your post, they will give you a merit.

There is no "easy method".

If it were easy the purpose of merit would be defeated.
