Buy and Sell your tokens at the right time. Probably, if you execute it well, you will get plenty of profits which you can buy back again or buy another coin in the market. As long as you earn, you can increase your holdings. But as of now, it is impossible to happen because the market is experiencing downturn.

I can't say I'm new coz I've been doing bounties for 10 months now, BUT I still don't know how to increase my holdings until now.

What I do with my participation rewards is JUST SELL them. That's it. That's the end of it. I often find myself running out of funds or decent token to sell because of this pattern. I end up being so broke I cant even afford to repurchase even just a little percentage of the token I sold. It's becoming a habit and I hate it.

I only know 1 thing: Buy low, Sell high. But even that is not enough.

So let's just say I'm still a newbie. I guess this post and the comments will greatly benefit those who are in my shoes now...

Can someone please comment or help me get started.

What is that one article or video that have guided you before when you were just starting to BUY and SELL. What words of wisdom can you share with me??

Hello! good question! I personally watch the YouTube channel ICODROPS. It helps me. The guys give a lot of useful information to their community. I recommend to see!)

If you want to increase assets. I guess you lost a lot of momentum buying and selling. Become a trader, but it's not easy. You need to learn about technical analysis and the latest news.

Selling them is not necessarily bad. Most of the tokens out there are not going anywhere as the teams never manage to deliver what they promised.

Investing in random coins and tokens just for the sake of increasing your holdings without doing any research etc. won't get you anywhere. So if you're selling your tokens to bitcoin for example and then keep hodling, you're actually doing good.

But hold it without knowing that in the future there will be progress made by dev and the team is also more like gambling. Hoping that the coins we hold will go up but the coins have absolutely no new news or development according to their roadmap. That's why I prefer scalping

Well we can understand if you're dumping your tokens after receiving your reward. Perhaps the question is how are you treating the money you got? Are you spending it as well that's why you ended up broke?

There's no secret here. You don't have to be a rocket science either. Its just how you manage your funds.  If you wanted to increasing your holdings then don't sell and try to accumulate crypto's like Bitcoin and Ethereum and let it sit in your wallet for a long time.

But it seems you look at bounties as jobs so it would be very hard for you to really save money here because its your means to bring food in the table for your family.

At the time of the cryptocurrency price decline I didn't think that there was really a way for someone to double the tokens they held, most of them would only get a price reduction if they kept holding. A token is very good if you make a decision to hold in the long term, or you continue to see and update the latest information about the token and join in several groups that discuss the tokens you hold, usually a token will always have a pump and if you know it you can sell when the pump takes place and buy back when the price is low.
It maybe true that it is hard these days because of this bearish market but it does not mean that we can't increase our holdings of crypto. We can do trading if your purpose is to increase your holdings of some coins and don't convert them to fiat. That's the problem to some of us here, selling their crypto and convert them to fiat that is why they are running out of crypto.

I only know 1 thing: Buy low, Sell high. But even that is not enough.

You already got that point. If you want to increase your holding tokens/coins then you must have to do the trade. Buy low and sell high is not so easy to make, mate. We spend our whole day, month to do that! As you know only one thing, that's why you have to learn details about how to trade! Because only a successful trading can increase your portfolio in this bear market.

That is one of the reasons why you need to understand that the token market and the altcoin market in general is one big fluctuating market, and even if you hold, there is every chance you may get to see them hit back on their bottom, but for most projects with prospect, it is still not a bad idea to hold for the long run as long as you do not have an understanding of trading trends.

I believe what most people never get to understand is that as much as they want to take advantage of market fluctuations in the short term, you cannot do it without trading knowledge, otherwise, you may just realize you missing out hugely in the long run, if care is not taken.

Doing nothing and sitting in the couch like a potato is better than selling your bounty token without considering the factors whether it will move up or down. If you kept on doing this practice, you will never increase the value of portfolio.

Try to observe the token you are holding first and if you think that it can go higher hold it for some time and then sell if you have reached your ideal price, then buyback again when it dips.

Do not just sell, try to think of a working strategy, change of plans can be good sometimes Grin

Well, you have already indicated your own problem, which is the fact that once you just get hold of the tokens or coins from bounty, all you do is to sell them, even if you are selling at loss.

Sorry mate, the last time I checked, there is no way you can eat your cake and have it, and if all you do is to sell your holding, without any plan for the future, how do you expect to increase your holding.
Now that you know where you fault is, what would be your plan? It is either you learn that holding is the best, or you learn how to trade and take advantage of long term trends, or you just simply stop complaining.

it is better if you save some part of your bounty token, for example you earn bounty token, you will convert it to btc or eth some part of it as btc or eth keep it as your savings since the btc and eth price will recover soon unlike when you hold a bounty token there is no assurance that the price will be better in a short period of time.

Yes, this is possible as well, if you don't believed on the token you're holding then liquidate it my any means and exchange it to bitcoin and then hold, rinse and repeat. Its really hard to hold tokens today because of the amount of volatility and the movement (pump-and-dump). Easy way to get out without you monitor the price everyday is to shift it to bitcoin.

That is just the thing, and for most part of it, it is pretty obvious, the OP may not even have an idea how to do some due diligence before even investing in anything and in that kind of case, there is every likelihood that he does not even have a clue what the ICO price would be considering the fact that he said he could not repurchase them.

Well, he understands his own problem and as long as he is not ready to actually make some changes to the way he approaches thing, when it comes to spending, and not having any plans at all, then, which would always be a problem for him. Better still, he should just learn how to find good projects, participate in them, hold them for as long as he can, and then get real jobs to at least keep sustaining him for the time being.

The only one you can do to increase your tokens/coins is by trading but this will not as easy as you can imagine. You can sell the tokens after you got that but remember that you don't have to sell all of the amounts and you can leave it for some amount in your wallet. Once you sell the tokens, make sure you can put some amount to buy back the token at the lower price which I am sure that it will down too deep. And if you have skills, then you might try to buy at the lower price and then sell when it increases. By doing this, I am sure that you can increase your tokens/coins plus you can also get a nice profit.

The only way to make money is to buy it at a low price and sell it at a high price. So you just need to decide which coin will be. And I think your research is superior to the ideas of others. If you are wrong once, then you will know how to act next time.

If you are a bit troubled in increase your holdings. then you should maximize your hard work like participating many type of campaigns. And don't rush to sell your token reward when it gets distributed, you have to research the project if that has potential or not.

If you want to increase your income or your cryptocurrency holdings, seriously. Go get a job instead; and simply use a percentage of your wages to purchase the cryptocurrency of your choice. Collecting bounties and spamming social media probably could sustain your finances for now, but long term? Maybe, maybe not. Trading is not as easy as you thought, and there is no like "secret guide to be a pro at trading" or something. It comes with experience. Before you become experienced, expect A LOT of losses.

I'd love to have a real permanent job. Sure income right? But i'm in a situation that I can't do that yet. I just make do with my situation ang just try to earn a living like what i'm doing now. Still thankful though. It still pay the bill. Smiley

If you want to increase the price of your token came from bounty
Patience is your need because token rewards came from bounies are depends the success of the project
Selling if token or coins came from bounty reward are good ideas if you think you need it to trade in the market
We can get more coins from bounties if they will pay the participants but it somehow some of them did not fulfill their promises. Previously, bounties are too good but it turns into the dark now. It somehow we just be patient in doing these cause there is no easy money around and we still need to work and do efforts finding those bounties that will surely pay in the end.

In the last 4 months there has been an increase in the number of Scam ICOs and cases of ICOs that do not pay bounty hunters, is a very sad situation because the scammers realized that this is an easy way to get easy money and the creators of projects that do not have a good project can not reach the desired goal and end up not wanting to pay the bounty hunters. I participated in a sig campaign where the goal was to publicize a solar panels project, but the campaign ended early because the project was not being able to raise funds. This is a problem that gets worse every day.

I also get tokens for free, my advice, when the coin launches in a market, you can immediately sell it, because a few moments later the coin falls immediately, because many people sell the coin.

There are many shicoins and the best to do is always sell immediately

Not everyone has the same thoughts, especially he has confidence in the predictions he has made that these tokens will have a high price. Their decision is not to sell, but they will remain held against the tokens that they have obtained. Market cryptocurrency will not forever decline, and even this is the same as new tokens, they expect tokens that have a price of $ 0,000 ... will be $ 100 in the next few years, patience will make everyone aware.

It's not smart to sell your tokens at this current market. And you should wait for the projects to fully develop there products and make the decision after that. You should have more patience to hold some of your tokens that will be more valuable in the future.

Joining bounty programs will help us to start smaller amount of tokens. I am also a bounty hunter that don't have large amount of holdings till now. I can't say that I am a kind of people that has weak hands but I say that I am a person that has a bad luck. Maybe, this is not my time to become successful in this industry.
The most vital aspect of crypto currency market is time and I can assure you that every time is the right time to be successful in crypto industry if ones is not lazy, not complaining, ready to try new thing, correct previous mistake, take sometime to research outside the box and make every seconds count.
Nevertheless, joining bounties good cause some campain actually pay higher than signature but selecting the right bounty is the main most newbie or inexperienced cryptonier have. However, selling your bounty earning is not bad but use it on something useful and you must keep 25% of the remaining btc in your account for future purpose.

There is no other way that I am thinking to increase your holdings but to join more in the bounty campaign, because in this way even the project campaign delaying their payment in token distribution you are accumulating different holdings(Atlcoins) in your wallet whether it is Ethereum, Stellar, Nem wallet, or Waves.

If you're looking to increase your coins you could operate a node on the Horizen network. Basically, you just hold your coin on a wallet and get rewarded with the free coins. Your coins will grow then, at least doing almost nothing. This is better than master nodes btw.

I am also a bounty hunter and before all i knew is to just sell the payment I've got from a campaign. Later on, I realize I can make this money grow. Since I am really good at determining whether an alt is a good or a shit, I just convert my payment into bitcoin or ethereum and just wait (Hold) until BTC or ETH rise so I have profit.

I also know the term "buy low, sell high" but I do not know what to coin to buy since I am afraid that it may be a shit coin. So for the assurance, I just choose to hold it after converting it into bitcoin.

since that you are already oriented in the bounties, I suggest you to sell immediately the coins which has been sent to your wallet once its been listed on the exchange, because for sure in just a couple of days the price in the platform will rapidly dump but for sure also it pump its price again, then if the value gets dump rapidly lower than the price you sell better to buy again then hold until you know you gain more than capital you bought.

The rules is simple and you already said it, buy low, sell high. I recommend use BTC or ETH as a trading pair instead of stable altcoin like USDT. Why? You will be able to multiply these pairs and the value for both altcoins increases. Using stable coin is not a bad move when trading but you are only minimizing the chance to multiply your profit. Always ask your self what type trader are you. Is it swing trader, day trader or a holder? There are different steps for each type of trader to take a profit.

I don't disagree with what you are doing, bounty programs.

Selling them after listing on the exchanges is a pretty good idea but my strategy is I will not sell them all especially the tokens that I feel will be good tokens in the future. If I will sell tokens that I get from bounty, I often sell 60-70% of it only so that I can get a profit. I will hold the remaining tokens for the mid to long run.

The question is how to increase your tokens?? 2 ways. By joining in bounty program or by buying it on exchanges.

well, the only way to increase the number of coins you have is to buy it, but I don't recommend buying for such a thing. You know, sometimes thinking about this based on the price, you might lose when the price of the coin has dropped. on the other hand, you can also use trading, but of course it's quite risky.

Will,in my own when i decided to increase my crypto tokens for what i recieve in my bounty participation mostly i hold it to the exchange market thats they give to me and after a few months they give an incentive or bonus to my crypto coins ,for not selling it or otherwise i must exchange it to anothet kind of coins and  hold it, and wait the moment the price value of thats crypto coins thats you hold will be increase.

You need to know your project involved is good or bad. If your project is good, there is excellent management team and there are plenty of investor supporters and whitelist subscribers, sure it's a great project. Merculet is a typical example. Take a look at Merculet as a good example for evaluating other projects. That is my personal opinion.

Yes I understand. you want to use the results of your bounty to trade so that it does not disappear uselessly. actually a lot of articles for learning trade. reading charts, how to determine candles, patterns, support, lines. but it's better to find someone who can guide directly. because they can explain more details. if you study alone, then prepare capital for testing. and don't be afraid of losses. just search on google how to read candles and charts.
Doing own research is very important before starting our own trade because it will help and guide us to minimize the risk of lossing a holdings while trading it. Also, if you you are starting to trade start in a low capital so that you didn't loss too much because in the start of trading you will encounter losses that sometimes test your patience on which surely enhance your strategies that possibly give you a huge profit in the future.

If you are a type of person who do earn and spend on things unwisely then this would always be the case would you experience.Im also a bounty hunter and I do sell
off immediately on my coins as long it got listed on exchangers but I don't like to buy things or wants because I'm thinking to diversify the money you had earned into
more good altcoins in the market or just simply converting them to bitcoin and wait up for sometime. If you don't have the discipline on yourself about good money management then
you would really be got stuck on your current condition.
Considering to OP's rank now, it's just too small if ever OP would get those stakes and sell right away, OP can't repurchase them back because it's not enough. A good suggestion is to have a real job then invest in cryptocurrency and by the future that investment will grow and grow and grow, then that's the time OP consider that she gained the trading skills. Also doing some research to most altcoins is very important so we would not loss any of our investments.

Increasing "holdings" means accumulation, no dump involved since the purpose is to increase your stash. It's fine if you sold it but to be able to acquired it again, basically you need to buy it.

You know it's really difficult for newbies to understand the fundamentals the simple term of "buy low sell high method". But believed me, once you continue to do trades, you will be able to understand what is that all about.

You don't need any article or videos. Just used your common sense and read stuffs on the internet. You can do your own analyzation. Just be serious. Goodluck,

There are different types of strategies for boosting portfolio value. I mainly prefer to liquidate positions which already matched my expected profit line and selling one token for another is like jumping to unknown stage. Sectorial chart analyse let me to hold better ERC20 tokens and buying decreased value of coin/tokens.

As for it's still good to buy trusted coins in the market right now while we're experiencing bearish market. Because of that it's a basic way of picking good coins, and the opportunity from that strategies will provide us strong holdings and the capability of increasing greater profit is there already.

Yup, holding for the long term has always been a viable strategy in crypto and it will continue to be a good strategy. Obviously not all coins will go up in price and you shouldn't expect a significant amount of the coins you hold to go up in price, but holding is a viable option over selling as soon as possible, especially when you recognize potential in a coin or token. Holding takes mental willpower and you need to know when you wish to cash out so you aren't left holding too long, so it takes experience just like anything else in life, but it's a good skill to have.

look at the price of all the cryptos,

ETH was worth more than $ 1000 and today it's $ 200

BTC was worth more than $ 19,000 and today it's $ 6000

as you can see. There are a lot of people who are losing money right now, but these people are not panicking and will hold their coins till they one day have a profit. You are being too hasty when you sell with losses, this is your mistake

Strategy is what you need to device. Depending on your strategy, if it is to increase your BTC holding, then you're on the right track. Selling off immediately isn't such a bad idea, so there are so many junk tokens and projects now. You could also choose to invest the proceeds from bounty on established alts to increase your holding in those coins

If you want that to happen then try to join a lot of bounty campaigns and get some new coins from there. It would not be always good but you are going to be lucky sometimes with it.

You should equip yourself with a recognition skill for ICO projects. If you have been in this market for 10 months, you will know how to identify any good projects. You will have experience in holding tokens. But in my opinion, I never hold my token. I will sell them and will buy back the potential altcoins in the top 10 to hold.

You need to spend more time learning and gaining experience. Not so many projects are good but those token you earn, you could sell them buy much better coins and established projects like EOS,NEM etc Then you can decide use the advantage of volatility to do day trading or Hold them no matter how much you run out of fund because am pretty sure 2-3 years from now, the value of this good coins is set to rise. Patience is key. Don't be scared of loosing, Gain Experience.  Wink

You really need a little more knowledge in TA to know when to buy low and sell high and with that you can always increase the no of your token , and that is how I do mine too, I sell with 4h chart at high and wait for it to come down the line to buy back which will give some little more coin to my old holding and I see that as a profit.

I think before you sell rewards from bounty, you have to know how the development progress of the project, so you will get an imagine of whether the token that you hold has a chance to the moon or not, if it doesn't have progress, just sell and make it as your trading capital

The answer is actually very simple: by trade!

Many people would recommend this, of course, but I would like to point out here at a low price is not to be sold at a high price. The point to be considered here is to use the right tools to get the right operation and to generate income from it.
