Thanks for your reply guys, it means there's no chance for us small time investors to invest in this project, it's actually a very good project but these are for the private investors or the rich investors, I understand, all your input are very helpful. With that said, I think I've read all the necessary information I need, hence I'm locking this thread now.

SpaceX is still a privately-held company with a few selected investors. To my knowledge, there are some companies that have the privilege to invest their money in SpaceX such as Founder’s Fund and DFJ. Therefore, up to now, there is no way for individual investors like us to put our money in Elon Musk's legacy. In the future, if SpaceX holds an IPO, buying their stocks is not a bad idea at all.

Disruptive technologies always bring profit to investors and right now Elon Musk is a pioneer in this field. He has the electric vehicle, as well as the space project which unlimit our dream. He is totally a beast.

I am not sure if he even needs any money to provide funding for it. I am sure he will probably use his own spaceships to send it to space so it would be cheaper for him which is why I believe it is obvious that people could try to invest into it, but he may not need any funding at all.

When a company gets super huge, people end up selling some portions of it, for either for the company, because they could just end up needing money eventually and sell a portion of the company and use that money to grow the company bigger, or maybe he could make it bigger and sell a portion and take the money into his pocket, you could always sell a portion of your company for your own personal financial benefit as well anytime you want. I believe it would be more like first situation but there is a chance it could be like the second if he can fund it all.

This is definitely an interesting thought, and it brings a nice combination of wanting to support something you believe in and trying to make a buck out of it. And there is nothing wrong with that. However, as mentioned in earlier replays, the long story short is that they don't need our loose change (well, for them that would be loose change). But you know what, that is actually a great thing because that means that a project like this that is by most considered to be a step forward for the wellbeing of humanity is actually having enough wind in its wings to take off and thrive. Too many times we have seen worthy projects collapse because of the lack of funding generated by the lack of overall monetary benefit to the investors. With Musks projects that do not seem to be the case. So do not be disappointed if you are unable to invest now (or ever) into one of Musk's ventures because that means that some of his admirable projects are actually doing really good and do not need any additional support. And in the later stages some of his projects may end up with some government benefits and grants if found to be of some with to the general public, so then you will be indirectly supporting it by tax money and getting a return in, well, a brighter future.

There is no doubt anything this guy Elon Musk is into will generate a lot of hype but you can't get into it, most investment at this stage is private placement and you must be a very rich guy to get allocation. I am still waiting for how he wants to enter a saturated market like telecommunication

So Elon Musk now is the richest person in the world. He has a lot of projects and I'm amaze by his intelligence. One of the projects he is concentrating now is the space X or the starlink which provides global internet through space satellite, and I see this a great investment opportunity.

Anyone here knows how to invest in this project for small time investors?

There's no way a retail investor can buy Starlink shares now as it is not a publicly listed company. But yes, if you have a billion dollar to invest, you can probably do it through private placement. But there's no way to do it for us!

Another way to invest in such projects is through venture capital funds that accepts deposits from public. But I doubt we have any such option open now! Hope this helps!

For now, we can't buy Starlink shares yet, Elon Musk is still trying to read the possibilities.  but you can buy Tesla shares on FTX Pro https://ftx.com/trade/TSLA/USD..

snip..
Since the beginning, many people did not believe in Elon, even Tesla was predicted to be unsuccessful because he fought the oil rulers, but in fact, Tesla has been a huge success now.  if Starlink and SpaceX are currently against the laws of physics then physics is useless..

This is what Elon Musk said a few months ago:

Quote
“We will probably IPO Starlink,” Musk tweeted on Monday, “but only several years in the future when revenue growth is smooth and predictable.”

https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1310672832783884290

Looks like you'll be waiting several years at least. Wink

I'm personally very skeptical about Starlink myself. Past ventures like this have fallen flat on their ass. This is what an industry expert said about it a few years ago:

Quote
“It’s highly unlikely that you can make a successful business out of this,” said Roger Rusch, a satellite industry consultant in Palos Verdes. “It’s inconsistent with experience. These people are up against the laws of physics.”

https://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-satellite-entrepreneurs-20150117-story.html

I'll admit the guy has a Vitalik Buterin-like cult of personality about him. Imagine the insane investor hype that would ensue if Vitalik launched another ICO. Cheesy

Interesting discussion.
I still do not fully understand why such investment is not open to all investors no matter their  financial status. This is part of the reasons we have crypto by the way. I prefer to invest in well decentralized and safe alternative projects.
Fortunately we don't need to launch satellites to make decentralized "internet" possible in remote areas.

Most of the articles that I've found says that you can't invest on it yet. It's not on public and that's why those rich companies that have invested on it will become richer. For the meantime, you're free to invest to one of his company.

Tesla.

You can buy it through etoro.

As above I think if an investment opportunity opens up you would need at least 6 figures available.
Ordinary investors with $50, $500 or $5000 would not be invited. This is a benefit of Bitcoin, it is accessable to everyone.

Once(and if) they actually plan on going public and go the IPO route then you're going to get that opportunity. Pre-IPO/seed-stage though? Unless you're an accredited investor, then nope.
AFAIK this is the only way that any individual can invest, too bad I am not in America, I want to invest in these big tech companies, most stocks in my country are commerce and electricity based. If you can give Elon a personal investment of around the realm of 10 digits, I think that he will let you in but that is just a wishful thinking.

Most of the time these networks are limited for investment in large scale. Low level investors can't think of it. Already they aren't in need of any crowdfunding for the project to progress. Most of the time innovative people with no capital for investment give opportunity for low profile investors while the projects developed under such personalities always gets shared within specific hands.
