You have to follow the instructions mentioned in the signature campaign ann topic. The eligibility criteria is not same for every signature campaign so make sure that you are eligible to participate in such campaign before applying for it.

You need to choose campaign, upload given signature to your profile and then apply to campaign. But if you don't have good knowledge about cryptocurrencies, you shouldn't join campaigns because you wont be able to make quality posts.
About Merits, Jr. Members don't have merit points by default, you have to receive it from other users. To get 1 sMerit, you will need to get 2 Merit points from other users.

As far as i know you can join in a signature campaign if you are already a jr member and to become a junior member you must have atleast 30 post. you don't need a merit for you to become a jr member. Now there are several signature campaign that accepts jr member, but merits is a plus to rank up.

I try to understand the point of your questions, either you want to get your rank to a junior member or you want to have merit while you're still a newbie. Well. All of these about activity along with constructive posts or comments you make. I think it would be wise to put aside the thought of joining the signature for now and focus more on your activity.

You don't need any merit to be a Jr. Member. If you are a Jr. Member first you have to go Profile>Forum Profile Information>Signature and copy paste signature code to empty box.
