I bought a certain coin on a certain date over a year ago.  Say i bought binance coin but tiny amount a long time ago.  If i know i bought it at say $9.25, but then i sold it pretty quickly but it was not meant to sell it for btc or usdt but used to pay the buying fees when buying an altcoin, is there a way to get up to minute on exactly how much binance coin cost on say january 1 2018 at say 2pm exactly etc?  Say i had btc sent from wallet to binance an hour earlier.  Then an hour later i went to buy altcoin with the btc but i first buy tiny about of BNB first as i would use that for fees when buying coin.

For the specific period, you can download the chart data from the coinmarketcap type sites if you know the exact amount you bought on the exchange. AFAIK, some exchanges also let the customers for downloading the traded history in the pdf, excel files but exchange interface doesn't show the trade history before the 6 months period. If you are out of luck, try to contact the support team and kindly ask the trading statement. I am sure the support team spokesperson will guide you and it will become easier to download the trading statement without merging the trade data of the unconventional timeframes.

Most exchangers do have that trade history but as far as I know Binance do only kept for a few months of those histories which means it isn't possible to access those info
on your dashboard specially the older ones.

For now the best thing you can do is to pm their support and ask such information yet they do have that log into those days.Lucky if they would grant out such request.

I am not sure that I understood your question. However, based on my understanding, I will try to answer it. If you want to get minute level details, then you should look up to your trading statement. Majority of the exchanges offer trading statement to their users and Binance is definitely one of them. So look under your Binance account for the same or get in touch with their support team. The statement will have the details of the order execution price (buying price) and the trading fees you have paid against it! Always consider the trading fees paid in the buying price while calculating the actual money spent on buying an asset. Hope this helps!

Please contact the Binance support department for assistance with anything regarding your account balance. Previous hacks may have affected some users. You should open a ticket to receive the fastest support and provide all information for the support team to fix soon.

Download the trade history file(every exchange let you do that), identify the trade you are referring to and check the price of the coin you are looking for at that day on coinmarketcap or tradinview . If the trade was recent enough you might be able to find it in trade history search without the need to download the csv file

This is one of the features that a good exchange should have, no matter how long the trade might have been, you should be able to trace your trade history on the exchange if I really get what you want right, I started using exodus wallet since I started trading bitcoin, and my first purchase and transfer to exodus wallet can still be traced till today showing me how much that I bought then, including the fee paid and the equivalent amount as at that time.

Even we have some local exchanges that will provide you with such details, I dint know which exchange that you are using, but whatever exchange that it is, you should definitely be able to get your trade history out of it at any time. They should also be able to have a table where you can pick the exact data report to pick.

Hm, as other members said, you need to check your trading history and contact binance support system to know that. But I wonder why you want to know about that? Do you want to compare the price at the old-time with now?

But you need to check the price for one year ago and today, so you will know how much the increase in the price. If you want to use BNB as the fee, then I think you don't have to worry about the price because you are not trading your BNB pair usdt or bitcoin.

I think the fee of using BNB is not too big depends if we use bitcoin.

is there a way to get up to minute on exactly how much binance coin cost on say january 1 2018 at say 2pm exactly etc?

This is what I don't like on binance exchange and I think it's impossible to get your trading history if it's almost a year. You can try contacting their support and ask if its possible to get your trading history from that time.

But I hope this helps you https://imgur.com/a/mkh8KrR
If you want to check a price of cryptocurrency in a specific time just go to coinmarketcap and sort the calendar date gap to only 1 day. I suggest you doing this in a computer or laptop.

You really need to check out your trading history.

No one can give you the exact every minute of the price since you are the one who made the trade.

So log in to that exchange and try to see if in your trading book if the history are still there. I don't know if exchanges removes trading history as far as one year, but you can give it a try.

Is the "certain coin" Ethereum? Or you are referring specifically to binance? Your question sounds alittle confusing

I guess you could try that on coinmarketcap, here: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/binance-coin/
Not sure if that's what you mean though.

Or you could just check all these on binance exchange. I believe your activities on the exchange are recorded on the exchange, on "activity section" or something.

He's probably worried about taxes. Like many people he bought coins and forgot about it. A year later he decided to sell but read that he might have to pay tax and started looking but can't find the transaction.

The easy way out is to sell the coin and send the money back to the bank account you used to buy it. Then compare the transaction from that bank account to binance to the transaction that came back. The profit will be your taxable income.

Try contacting the support system at Binance, they will definitely have a solution for you.
But if your transaction is too long, even more than 1 year, I'm afraid they can not help you. But anyway, please email supporters, maybe luck will happen to you. Wink

Have you tried to contact Binance to get all your trades on specific date or range between dates?
Because as far as I know, 6 months I think is the only maximum date you can recover and see your all trade history

But if you just want to see the price when January 2018 of Binance coin, you can check it on the chart base on the Binance exchange.
