Yeah, Linkedin profile is really a way to go because I believe there is no solid team with a lot of experience in this day and age, that will not have a professional linkedin profile.

However, it is not only by looking at the LinkedIn profile, you have to check out the date the profile was created as well as the number of people following, the past achievements, and some skill endorsements, most especially when it comes to the key members of the team because anyone can just open a LinkedIn profile for the sake of what they want to achieve. If you can, you can find a way to call out the team via a video chat or something, if they are not busy enough but most great team who have nothing to hide, will not be hiding their identity.

How to know this ICO team member is genuine ?

Is it a matter to have Linkedin profile?

Yes, you can check his/her Linkedin. Look at the number of connections. If there are fewer than hundreds or this person doesn't have a photo, this might be suspicious. Look if the project is mentioned in his profile. Sometimes I also go to ICOs Telegram groups to clarify why a certain member doesn't mention the project in his bio.

Try to contact the so-called team member on another platform eg twitter or email. Sometimes fraud ICOs use people's names and faces without their consent or knowledge.
