What kind of participation do you want,as investors or part of marketing campaign,if you want to participate as an investor you should just follow the coin updates in their official announcement and if you want to participate in it's marketing then you need a rank junior member higher to participate in the coin you want to follow in their signature campaign.

first,, look the team behind the project, and total supply
but the most important is the team, is they want to show their reall face , or social link etc,, because if they didn't want to show up,, thats mean they aren't serious with their project
