Right now it is very much dissolved into private insurance, and private research and development. Shouldn't we be treating the medical field like we treat the computer world by making it 'open-source'. ANYONE should be able to come in and analyze the data for themselves. Even without the proper knowledge to understand the data, by making it all open and public wouldn't people be able to work together easier on tackling the things that literally plague us?
