that thing can mine not effienctly some cpu coin, it should reward you well if you know what to mine, but only with algo like cryptonight mgm or the hodl algo

for other altcoin you need a dedicated gpu rig

I'm not even sure a core 2 duo 2.4 Ghz would be usefull for cryptonight... Most of those coins already have a rather high network hashrate, the OP might get desilusioned when he sees the little income it would make?

Specially when its a low end AND mobile CPU. Mobile CPU typically have in the vicinity of 1/3rd the TDP of the desktop version. The desktop version of that CPU is nearly useless therefore yes, it would be very little and it would heat up/strain the Laptop for nearly nothing.

In theory you can mine with this hardware, but in reality you will not gain anything from doing it. Even lose money because the power consumption will be much higher than the reward in bitcoin.

You missed the days where you could mine with CPU/GPU unfortunately, so you are better off spending the cash directly on bitcoin than spending it on power and a higher write off of your laptop.

If you really want to try out the mining you should sign up for a mining pool, download some mining software and watch your laptop heat up like a microwave. Check out https://99bitcoins.com/beginners-guide-to-mining/ for instance for some additional information.

Hi guys i just came here back and i want to know how to mine using my laptop
Here's the specs of my laptop:
Os: window7
Processor: Interl core 2 duo 2.4 ghz (2cpu)
Memory: 4gb
GPU display: mobile intel 4 series Express chipset Family with approximately: 1324mb

I hope someone can help how to mine using those specs even a crypto or altcoin i just want to mine in a profitable way...

You dont have a discrete GPU, you can't mine with that. A notebook is pretty much the worse thing you can try to mine with, after your cellphone/tablet. Get a USB ASIC if you really must, it would be much better than what you want to attempt.

Hi,

first of all: please don't mine with your laptop... The hardware is not made for this, and you'll have a big chance of burning it.
If you insist on wrecking your laptop, this site can help you: http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency

But, to be honest, i don't think you'll mine much with an intel core 2 duo, or with an intel GPU... It's basically not worth your time. If the idear is to wreck your laptop, you'll make a lot more coins if you just sell it in the goods section of this forum (really).

If you're serious with mining, you should buy an asic (avalon6 or antminer S7), if you want to learn how to mine : buy a stickminer (altough you'll never ROI with them)
